This premise here came about in game, when a guild friend said he was working on "Classic Progression" and I thought it was a bit of a funny oxymoron. I also immediately knew that the term "Classic Regression" would have to show up in a comic somehow.

This one was originally a bit different on the page. Krom was the subject of the comic in the beginning, and the ending was a bit different. In the final panel, I had Nyte talking to a flight master to get to the dungeon with the text above her saying: "You are too busy to use a taxi service right now" and a murderous Krom standing behind her.

I felt that the punchline was a bit too weak. The whole taxi service joke is one I've been holding onto for a while, and I was trying too hard to make it fit. In the end, when I thought of the flappy bird world quest joke becoming a reality in the final panel, I changed it to Narya, as I felt he fit the role better.

As a mage main, I feel this. Did MC for a few weeks in classic until I remembered that mages in classic literally are just Frostbolt with some evocations once in a while and mechanics are like one every 30 seconds at best.

Classic Regression is an awesome term! My guild clears everything during week and we lose less ppl on Kel`Thuzad than doing binding run in MC.

You made the right call not going with the Taxi Service joke. Because of the reasons you stated (Krom getting angry is standard Dark Legacy), and because disillusioned angel Narya is adorable! I had an out-of-nowhere thought. Do you think we'll ever see Narya with blonde hair again?

Didn't get this one. I only understood because you explained it. I'm still baffled this Classic thing worked out. I mean, when WoW first arrived, it was a novelty and an improvement in the MMO scene. But now, Classic would feel like... I don't know, Diablo I. They're even gonna split for BC too. This implies that at some moment you will have the option to keep playing your favorite expansion ad eternum. I also find weird that they decided to use old graphics. Seems like the opposite of what Blizzard is doing these days, launching old games with updated graphics. I would think this would work better on a Classic revival. At least people would have the excuse to go back to that... let's call it "experience".
