My god, 17 panels. I know I complain a lot about how many superfluous panels I drew in my early comics, but those extra panels managed to make a pretty cool layout for the first 6 panels. I don't often get to play around with the panel arrangement.

There is also some decent contrast between Miji and the background in the first few panels. This was purely coincidental because I paid zero attention to those things early on. The ground just happened to be a bit dark and desaturated. I think the later panels suffer a bit because the trees are a lot brighter and tend to clutter up the foreground.

I forgot to color in the bat on Keydar's tabard in panel 16. Comic unreadable.

I did eventually make a spiritual successor to this comic in #434.
