Comic #790: Combat (Patreon)

This is a continuation of last week's comic. I had a different original version that was a bit more meta. Here is the original script:

Keydar: Nyte! Help! I pissed off some NPCs with some minor mass murdering and now I’m stuck in combat! I can’t mount! I can’t eat or drink! AM I GONNA DIE?!

Nyte: Oh my god, relax. Just vanish.

Keydar: (grabbing her shoulders): I TRIED. IT DOESN’T WORK!

Nyte: Log out?

You can’t logout now.

K: OH GOD. I CAN’T EVEN LOG OUT! HALF THIS GAME DOESN’T EVEN FUNCTION WHEN YOU’RE IN COMBAT, AND THE OTHER HALF DOESN’T FUNCTION NORMALLY!

N: Just hit Alt-F4 you dummy.

K: Oh yeah.

Me at my desk playing wow, hand on keyboard.You can’t do that right now.

I didn't really like that version because it had way too much exposition. I also hated that I needed to explain away why he doesn't just vanish. In the end I decided to make the fact that he's not vanishing the actual joke of the comic. The best reason I could think of for Keydar not vanishing is DPS.

I do have a couple extra ideas to continue this arc, but I'm not yet sure if I want it to continue. We'll see!
