I brought a lot of old minor characters back for this one. The healer is originally from #630: The Unicorn, hence her name in the LFG window in the first panel. I also re-used Pal, the Paladin from #721 because his attitude made sense for the group. The dwarf shaman is a recurring character that first showed up as a background character in #463, which I then used in #527. He has shown up in a few comics since as a guild member. He always seemed nicer than the rest of the main guildies, so it would make sense that he moved on to a more wholesome guild.

This comic was purposefully made as a sort of thematic continuation of #801. Pick-up-groups are generally depicted as terrible, especially in my comics. I thought it would be a fun change of pace to have a successful, positive, and overall wholesome pick-up-group.

I was on the fence about doing this comic because in some ways it has a similar punchline to #801. Both end with poking fun at how dysfunctional the guild is. Ultimately I liked the reversed nature of it. Instead of insults we have compliments. It reminded me a bit of that Seinfeld episode where Elaine finds a group exactly like hers but everyone is nice instead of an asshole.

I put a few little bonus jokes in the first panel. Most notably the mythic 0 group asking for a 3K io minimum.

Aww I loved this. I exclusively healed pugs and I remember a dungeon just like this, only I was the healer replacing one who left. The tank was so easy to heal it was ridiculous but the tank had said the prior healer said he sucked. I told him he was easily the best tank I'd ever seen. Ugh. Makes me want to do it again.
