Comic #811: Spherecraft (Patreon)

I drew enough of those damn spheres today to last a lifetime. I guarantee you will see this background copy and pasted every time I make a comic in Zereth Mortis.

I was running around the zone trying to think of a comic idea, and the best thing I could think of was something to do with Pocopoc (the round thing in the first panel, for those who aren't currently playing). I played around with having Gigz talk to Narya as if he was Pocopoc, but I couldn't think of a good punchline. I also thought of ideas like a Gigz' Kitchen where she cooks spherical dishes, but that also didn't seem that funny.

Ultimately this idea came to me, and I did my best to draw Narya as rotund as possible. I think maybe he has a future as a Monk.

I'm still not entirely satisfied with the background. It was hard to maintain a consistent style across all the background elements while trying to draw those complex spheres. I feel like the sphere in the sky doesn't quite fit the rest of the image. Oh well.
