Comic #814: Candle in the Stormwind (Patreon)

This one is so stupid, I love it.

I knew from the start that I wanted to do another Kobold themed comic this week, but I struggled really hard to settle on the idea.

I considered doing a comic where the void beast appears, consumes Kobolds, and then Keydar is shown desperately trying to put candles back into the pickpocketing window of a Kobold. I found this idea, like many of the ones I came up with to be too similar to #773.

At that point I started thinking about using William Pestle's quest for collecting Kobold candles in Elwynn forest. I read the quest text and saw that the candles were for his shop in Stormwind. So I logged on and entered his shop and realized there were ZERO candles anywhere. I thought about what other purpose he could be secretly hoarding candles for, and the image in the final panel popped into my head immediately.

Usually I don't go this specifically into game lore, but I figure enough players have probably done this quest that it would be relatively safe.
