I liked the idea that Keydar would finally figure out how to avoid mechanics, but ended up avoiding positive spell effects too. I have to admit it took me a long time early in the expansion to realise that certain ground spell effects were being cast by players and not enemies.

Wild Spirits is a Hunter Night Fae ability which fits the mold pretty perfectly. It creates the giant blue swirl pictured in panel 3. It also happens to match Skolex's (A boss from Seplucher) Devouring Blood ability almost exactly.

I was surprised to find out that I haven't actually drawn Legolas (the dwarf hunter in this comic) since #509, nearly 7 years ago. I have used his name in various dps meters and group queues, but I haven't actually drawn him in a long time.

His dialogue in the last panel was originally "Hey boss, maybe I stop casting wild spirits? It make our rogue run a lot." In my canon for the comics, the character Legolas is foreign, and tends to speak in slightly stilted English. There is something about that that I find endearing. It gives him an honestly and a bluntness that I enjoy. The problem is how hard that is to convey in a comic with only text. Especially for a character that hasn't appeared in 7 years. So I ended up making it a little more grammatically correct. Maybe in the future I will introduce that concept a little more clearly.

Oh gosh, that is the worst thing about WoW raids, all the mechanic appearances just blur together and you so often have purple damage mechanics on top of purple terrain, making them even harder to see. x.x

I was legit running out of my own blue swirl that gives me haste when I cast wild spirits. On my monk, I couldn't tell sylvanas black floor marks from I think it was a warlock purple spell marks from wild spirits, despite knowing wild spirits from my hunter. Having to cope with shit on the floor and staying in melee range to hit is why I swapped to my hunter for sepulchre.

Tbf, playing with color blindness accessibility settings did help with that a bit.

That's why wildstar was amazing. Green means good, red means bad.

Lol that's perfect. We had a similar problem in that bug fight in MoP during Attenuation. I was holy using the skill that put light under my priests feet. It made seeing all the glowing balls you had to avoid REALLY HARD.
