I was originally going to end this arc today, but I came up with this idea with daily quests last minute and I liked it. Narya left his original quest marker on the ground in the last panel, so maybe that can be a plot point next week.

Originally this entire comic was flipped horizontally. Narya was on the right and Keydar on the left. This made some problems for me in the final panel. The reader would notice Keydar and his text first, before noticing Narya with his blue daily quest marker. I wanted readers to see it the other way around, so I just flipped everything. It was probably unnecessary but it bugged me and I couldn't let it go.

Here is the original version before I flipped it and you can decide for yourself:

I think it reads better the way you have it at the top!

Same -- good call on the flip. Subtle but better.

Troy

Agreed, its better with Narya on the left in the final panel.

I tend to read text quickly, and while scrolling down I saw the "At once" text bubble before I saw the daily quest sign, and it worked very well for me as I was curious to see what caused the change of heart. For me to really notice the quest marker before the text it would have had to be against a blank background, above the head, to be isolated and very visible. I think the published (flipped) image may work better logically, but in the end it does not matter, both work for me.

The original, before you flipped it works better for me. The markers are more noticeable because you’re not flipping your eyes over immediately to read Keydar’s text, so they stand out more.
