Comic #831: Sage Advice (Patreon)

I kind of gave this one away in last week's commentary.

I had a last minute change with the tone of the final panel. Originally Narya was disappointed/confused, and said something more along the lines of "Yeah, I think it's my vanilla rotation". I ended up finding it funnier if Narya actually thought the Defias' rotation was complicated.

I do have some worries with this punchline because it has multiple interpretations. One is that vanilla rotations were terrible and Narya is bad, the other is that Defias Pillagers have a one ability rotation. I just feel like all these different interpretations compete with one another and the reader ends up a little confused on what the joke is supposed to be exactly. Hopefully it works out in the end.

I had a similar joke in #704. I'm not sure how Narya stuck around and that guy got demoted. Don't think about it too hard.
