I've had this concept as part of my unofficial canon regarding the Donald question. When doing my throwback Patreon post this week on #120, this idea for the comic came to me.

I knew it had to be a long one if I was going to do it right. I wanted to show the whole timeline. I actually went back and read all the comics featuring Donald to try to work out how many iterations there would have to be.

There are a few references to past comics in this strip. First of all, the dad and the middle child were already featured in #442. The idea of Donald once being a raid leader has also been referenced before in #298. Panel #6 is a reference to #87. Panel #8 is a reference to #354.

I also realized I had to make sure the monitor in 2004 and 2006 were CRTs. I also used an XBOX 360 cover of Minecraft to be 2012 accurate.

I know the three siblings have pretty different hair colors, but I wanted to make sure they looked distinct. I also wanted to make sure Peter's hair was unique so he would be recognizable as an adult in the final two panels.

There was such a legacy, and we were in the dark

This is a dangerous path you've chosen... if we're acknowledging the passage of time, Krom and Nyte definitely need to be talking about back pain more. I kid. This is super cute, and explains so much about Donald.

Wasn't there an earlier comic that showed Donald was legitimately seriously mentally retarded?

I would love for this new little kid to be some sort of WoW savant...

It can be fairly accurate though, I picked up this game in 2009, and my youngest son wanted to play when he was around 13. It's amazing that it's still going really if you think about it.

Eh better would it have been instead of 2004 saying 2005. Because if Donald would have laid Ragnaros 2004 it would not only have been a Server First but actually it would have been world first.
