Comic #851: White Lies (Patreon)

Originally, the lie Krom tells them was going to be more of the punchline. He was going to tell them that if they failed the mechanic it would debuff their DPS, and then in the final panel Nyte was going to reveal that it was a lie. The problem was it was too predictable and the punchline itself wasn't as funny. So in the end I decided to just make the punchline the premise and work off of that.

I was also going to initially exclude Keydar and Narya from the final panel and instead have Krom say something in the final panel like "RESEARCH THE FIGHTS?" and Nyte respond with something like "Sorry I don't know what I was thinking". It wasn't that funny, and was too expositive. I could reach the same punchline by showing Narya and Keydar being total space cadets and Krom just giving her an "Are you fucking serious?" look.

I also originally had a visual gag involving the adventure guide, but I couldn't fit it into the frame. It was basically going to list Keydar and Narya as mechanics to avoid in the boss breakdown.
