Comic #870: Hard Carry (Patreon)

I wanted to use some of the characters from last week's comic. Originally I was planning on having them try to do a carry run unsuccessfully, and blame their invitee. It then occurred to me to have Donald be the one invited.

From there I had many different ideas of how the comic would go, until I decided to use Donald as a kind of weaponized idiot in order to destroy group sellers.

A lot of the story is told between panels, but I like it better that way. Some of my earlier drafts had way too much exposition, with the run selling leader yelling at Donald for several panels before rage quitting. In the end, having a single panel with 4 group members looking like they've been through hell while Donald sits there with a placid innocence tells the story well enough on its own. At least I hope it does.
