Comic #871: Fun Run (Patreon)

After last week's comic I thought I'd tell a more wholesome boost group story. Though in this case the fact that the group is a boost group isn't part of the premise, but the punchline. I also liked the idea that the only way Narya could find a non-toxic pug is if he was paying for it.

I've used members of the wholesome crew in the past, most notably Pal and Unicorn. In their previous appearance I added the Shaman to the crew, and figured I would throw in the augmentation evoker after #869.

I struggled to find the perfect dialogue for the second to last panel. Initially it was just Narya talking about how nice his group was, which worked fine, but I thought it would work better if Narya somehow felt he solved toxicity. There's something I find funny about the cognitive dissonance he must feel regarding his own talents.
