Hey all,

This is overdue (or I feel like it is). The holiday threw me off and my 4 day weekend turned into 1 day. I'll also admit my second mistake recently: I played Camp Buddy and learned that if I play other games, it seriously fucks with my writing ability. But hopefully, this week I can get back on track again.

Here's a teaser for v0.13. I've hinted that this update will be less dramatic and a return to a more familiar feel to the game. However, with the new video card, I've experimented with the light and brightened things up a bit. Here's a new shot of Braden in bed for you to compare to the old ones you've probably grown used to.

Lovely teaser, so dreamy and cute. :D What route did you play during your stay in the Buddycamp (so far)? :P

Never heard of Camp Buddy so I downloaded it last night after reading your post at 10pm. Dammit, was up till like 3am and then dead at work. Great game, and I actually intended to romance Hiro but somehow accidentally ended up with Yoichi. Yuri is a walking sexual harassment lawsuit. My god, you would never get away with being that crazy IRL. The antagonist took till near the end of the game, for me to even start sympathizing. He was too 1-dimensional for too long, before they add his layers near the end. As a result, the protagonist comes off a little bit of a doormat to me. Nobody reads people as well as he reads the hidden complexity in his antagonist while simultaneously being written as being comically 'dense' at reading everyone else around him. It just felt a little forced for me. I liked the game and its characters generally, and totally get that many are meant to be standing in for various tropes and stereotypes, but it was a little bit of a strain to swallow how the main character reacts to the antagonist again and again. I would like to have seen him struggle more with remaining positive or else be given a little more reason early-on to not have given up on the antagonist. Or else give more player choice to beat the eff out of him and then feel like a real heel later when his story comes out and get like a bad-end.

Also, as someone who worked at a scout camp as a teen, being staff at one of those places is legit hard because you play a 'character' (being super positive and skilled at scoutcraft) and it's so hard to be that positive all the time and play the rolemodel. We used to get back to the 'staff' campsite at the end of the day and turn super vulgar and vent about all our damn scouts, just to decompress after holding it in all day. Camp counselors deserve respect! #Aidenworksmiracles

Lighting is definately better 😊 I was just wondering whether (unless it's too much trouble) there would be any changes to their dorm walls like a new picture or something, doesn't have to be massive or it could be a side bit in the story just to show things changing over time and add that little bit extra realism? 😊

That's fair enough, and wow really will have to look a little closer 😂

How’s the next release going?

Thanks for all your hard work. I can honestly see that you are putting in a lot of time and effort into making this the best game possible :D . Good job and keep it up :D

Woah, is it me or is Braden hairier here than usual? XD He's even hairier than Zack. Still a cutie boy though. :) In the end, Zack will be so lucky to nab himself a magazine-worthy boyfie, heck even husband. But let's not get ahead of ourselves here. ;)
