I want to say this one thing--Geoff, as someone who has been happily married for 26 years, I appreciate the way you value your wife's input. It truly shows your respect & love for each other. Your continued integrity is one of the reasons why we support you.

Dominique

So a grand piano shell, huh! That’s a genius idea! So happy you had a crew helping you out! As always you guys are awesome 👏🤗

Jill Weimer Koeninger 🐉

You done good 👍🏻, Geoff. A "shell" of a grand piano? Never knew that they make those that fit a keyboard, but it does make sense to me now. Wow! I am amazed of the planning that went into this! Couldn't have been better.

Sarah Borzelli

See? I said I was missing Kathy open the shutters! 😂 Thanks for another great BTS! So interesting to watch you figuring out how to film. What a great location you found! 😬 Oh no, having to put out more long videos will give you more stress! Why didn't the close-up shot end in the final video? 😂 Thank you Kathy, Geoff and the crew!

Lana

Thank you for this 10 minutes! I love behind-the-scenes videos because everyone can see how much work and preparation goes into making a video, and that's just one detail! It's nice to see how freely, how joyfully and professionally everyone works!

Carol Franklin

A joy to see the BTS as always. Hope you don’t stress too much about times. Every 6 weeks seems enough work along with VP want you to enjoy what you do

Filiz E

Such a beautiful video, love the view so much, thanks for sharing!

DMCARP

Liked that you followed the YT suggestion. Thanks for BTS view.

Crisstina Joubert

You are all so incredibly gifted and talented, you make everything look easy. Thank you for these BTS, they are wonderful!!❤️❤️❤️

Sue Armstrong

If anyone was still wondering what color your eyes are, they got a definite answer here! :D What a great space to film, and I bet it had AC, too. Thanks for another great BTS! You guys are the best.

Mikki Fullerton

That wasn't an overly large space to film in either, but you all managed to work together to get some fantastic looking shots regardless of any challenges! Well done.

Silv E

That came together so beautifully - like it was built for this (just 100 years early).

Marie Galaxy

It’s so much fun to see the process! Great BTS!!! 💜😻💚

Kendra

Such a great job with the video and the song, especially considering the short timeline! These behind the scenes videos are so fun to watch, thank you for sharing these little snippets into your work life!

Tara Congo

The video turned out so well! I never would have Imagined (..ha..ha..) that you had such a short turnaround time. Thanks for sharing 😁

Angie Woollard

Ooh thanks for this peek behind the curtain! You guys always make all this hard work look so easy! "Yeah...we won't get trolled on YouTube..." Given the comments of the last day or so, this made me laugh and cringe at the same time...LOL

Ashley Evers

That close up 🤣 With the icing of catching that live low note at the end 😁

Amanda Hovendon

Such a wonderful video and I am in love with that space😍.

Amber

You all did a phenomenal job and in such a short time frame! Awesome work. That space is so beautiful, great choice!!

Cécile Roussey

It was very interesting, and I liked it a lot! :-D

Manasi Kane

Y’all work so hard! Thank you Kathy, Geoff and of course the crew. It’s a privilege to get the BTS ❤️ It’s definitely become my favourite perk on your Patreon.

Janina

I love this peek behind the curtains you gave oss. Thank you!

Cloudy Skies

Wonderful bts. Thanks! A grand piano shell, huh? That explains the lack of pedals. Good job everyone! Such a beautiful video of a beautiful song in a beautiful space made by beautiful people.

Dorothy Rosenberg

An inspired song choice! So perfectly performed. It must be frustrating to have a tractor chug by during filming. Thank you for all this work.

Sarah Borzelli

RIGHT?! I'm rolling my eyes so hard! PEOPLE! 🙄

Deb Moore

Look at Geoff showing off picking up that chair all by himself. Muscles!

Katherine Powell

A piano shell....oooohhhhh.....that's neat. I was wondering why there weren't any pedals. It's a lovely home that y'all filmed in. I wonder, will we eventually see either of the other two songs you pivoted away from?

Lady Payne

I don't see where people are getting the 'long format every month is too much pressure' aside from the previous chats, but I understand and agree. There was a lot more going on to get this 'simple' video done that I thought there would be. As far as pressure, you are essentially working 2 full time jobs right now. I don't know how long shorts take you, but you could set up a short each month which would satisfy the per creation technicality on your Patreon and then do the long song formats as you can. You tube advisor is right that the long form content will do better, although I think some of your shorts are pure genius as they are. Working for yourself always means longer hours than working for someone else, although in the entertainment industry I imagine there are a lot of rush deadlines like there are in programming. Do what you need to do to get a work/life balance. Please don't stop singing for us, though - even if it less often.

Gary Henderson

I love seeing the BTS. The Extreme Close Up™ was hilarious. :)

Dale and Carol Timberlake

Love this BTS!! Like many others, first time hearing there's a piano shell option. So cool!!

Swan

That all sounds like this song and video came together without any issues? Maybe I am missing something but congratulations on that!! As much as we all love when you put incredible work and many hours into a project (I am thinking of the Ghost Riders video and Wicked arrangement), I am pleased to see you have a seemingly relaxed time of it. Fingers crossed for many more projects that turn out this lovely and without being too stressful. Thank you (both, Kathy and Geoff) for all your work and creativity!

Amanda Nott

Pretty cool! Always love seeing how the videos come together!

ObscureReferenceWoman

That is a gorgeous house! I never would have known that the piano was put together on site if I hadn't seen it. But that sure saves having to worry about tuning! Putting that on my wish list, for sure. The camera work on this was stellar, especially the mirror shots. Fantastic job, everyone.

Alyssa Daniels

Matt is the MVP for this one, the camera work is gorgeous and that shot going down the stairs was so smooth! What a beautiful space as well!

Jacky Friedman

Love this. Thank you Geoff, Kathy and Matt.

Jacky Friedman

I know. I heard it too. The closer she got the deeper and louder it got. Loved it and made me giggle.

Jacky Friedman

That close-up would have been awesome in the video.

Jacky Friedman

Very true. They are definitely soulmates through and through 🥰

Marie Galaxy

…and what a beautiful color they are! Some people have it all!!

Lynda Rood

Thank you for doing this, it is so interesting to see how your videos are put together. Such beautiful work.

Kourtney Frantz

I think the owner should put a grand in there…it just FITS!!🥰

Tonya Schuster

Interesting how the BTS doesn't detract from the "magic" ; so very much work to make it look effortless :)

Dale George Hjertaas

I really enjoy the how you put it together videos. Thank you.

MtheHell (Marcel)

It's really nice to see and hear a little more from Matt (In the VP BTS, too). We often see him just from behind, running around with the steady-cam, but he's a nice guy without cam, too. 😄

Gail R.

Loved seeing how things work. Beautiful space.

Katie Haycox

Love these behind the scenes videos. Brilliant x

Marie DesJardin

I was anticipating some negative remarks even before we got our own little sneak preview here yesterday. But if Kathy had pulled back the curtains, I think I would have died laughing-- it's such an iconic scene!

KorKnot

Thank you for sharing this & the work that you put into it. Very cool.

Cara K

Thanks so much! Gives even more appreciation for all that goes into your already incredible songs! BTW? I TOTALLY agree with the advice that you'd mentioned in the beginning - I actually almost never even watch the "shorts!" I'd rather see a full product less often than shorts. Just my opinion. Shorts always seem rushed and nonchalant - by anyone. Not as you.

Rachel Dempsey

07:10 Eye contact chicken! Who’s going to blink first?

Hunter

WE FINALLY BROKE THE STREAK OF AWFUL SOUNDING PIANOS! That is good, that's a good feeling. Shh-Shh-shh. Bask in it.

Lady Payne

And I forgot about the whole being a Good Dad and a Good Husband at the same time. (I don't have kids so I overlook that a lot)

Lynn M

Every time I see a bts I am amazed and appreciate the time and effort you put into the videos. Thank you Geoff and Kathy.

Pat P

🥰

Jeanette Pencz

I love the BTS so much. It is just wonderful to see how vou are making pure magic. Thank you so much Geoff and Kathy for all the work you are putting into it 😘

Jamie T.

What a beautiful house that was. Also, I'm glad you did a full song. I'm not really a big fan of the mini's, it's too much like a tease since I always want the full song after!

Julie C

I would just like to point out that I own the brother of that bulbous green glass lamp in the corner. I found it in the weeds while doing the census in Texas.

Lady D Richter

I was actually hoping to see Kathy make a cameo as Yoko!

Tonia Richardson

Fascinating! How exciting, and what a gorgeously charming space, wow!!

Maryse B

I reslly like to see the BTS. It feels like a part of the gang. DELICIOUS moment. thank you 1000 times

Tema Krempley

That is a lovely location. But knowing the poor fellows had to come down the stairs with the camera… I second Geoff’s concerns! Good thing I’m not allowed anywhere near that stuff. There would be shattered camera and bones…

Badger77722

This BTS did answer the big question I've had about this video: why would someone have a grand piano in their house that didn't even have foot pedals? Who would even make a grand piano that didn't have foot pedals? Now, knowing that it's just a shell and wasn't part of the house, it all makes sense!
