Based on the success of the release of "Dusty Old Songs" and more than a few requests for a "larger format" version of , i thought I'd gauge interest and ask, is anyone interested in a Vinyl Version? Lemme know your below.

Nah... Though my old bones love the idea of a low-tech vinyl record, which can be played easily in a 1000 years, I must also be realistic and admit, I myself haven't listened to a vinyl in... ... well - decades! 🦴💀🦴 But I still like the idea, and if you make a donate-button, I would gladly give a contribution to the project ☺️

That's wonderful. But I don't have the budget for that. There are hundreds of vinyls with me, I am old (and boring) and I am already distributing them to the next generation. Sorry, Geoff. I won't order a vinyl.

Vinyl is excellent for sound quality, but my equipment for playing it has long since given up the ghost. I love my CD but will pass on a vinyl offering at this time

I will buy two copies (one for playing and a display/backup just in case)- at any price point you need to make it worthwhile for you. I can't overstate how much I want this, it would be the crown jewel of my vinyl collection. Heck, this might motivate me to buy a gramophone like the one in your videos instead of my current turntable, that is something I have been considering for awhile already.

Even though I've ripped most of my old vinyls into mp3s for convenience I'd still enjoy a vinyl for the fun and novelty of it. Of course, I'd enjoy it even more with your next album ;)

I'm okay either way. If you offer vinyl, I'll purchase one. I already have the equipment to play it. However, if it's a choice between "Dusty Old Songs" on vinyl and another CD with more of your other music, I'd choose the latter. I anticipate purchasing physical copies of whatever is available to us. I agree with the preorder suggestion. In the past, I have done preorders through both Kickstarter and Backerkit for Brandon Sanderson/Dragonsteel books and been satisfied with the process. Do what works for you.

It would fit the old and dusty image well. I would love to have one down the line. I love the idea, but currently it would just be stored in a box or collecting dust on a shelf. I suppose that latter one would be fitting 😆

Geoff, I simplified things a bit after turning 75 and gave up both my vinyl and CD collections. I have a small selection of stuff on 78s from the 40s and early 50s and a windup victrola, but they are just for happy memories of when I was young, as I recorded all of them digitally long ago. (I still listen to 'The Weavers', which I first enjoyed on 78s. Do you think that your group or yourself might find a few songs ( try Four Strong Winds', for example )and might mine their archive for inspiration? https://music.apple.com/us/artist/the-weavers/242662

While I do have a record player, it hasn't been used in years (possibly decades, at this point, LOL!), and I don't even know if it still works. I don't have the ear to be able to tell the difference between a good digital recording and analog vinyl, so the "larger format" wouldn't do me any good.

yes! I don't own a record player but I'll buy one to cherish and display, until I come across a player that I like 😄 vinyl is pricy though, and especially with shipping it will be a big investment. so please do a "pre order" to get the numbers somewhat correctly for the records before ordering them! have a pre order open for say a week or two on your channel, then close it and order them.

My husband’s an audiophile and once had top notch turntables, receivers, & speakers. When we downsized, the turntable, several speakers, and Steinway grand went to our son. TMI to say NO VINYL.

I just mentioned to my 26 year old son that you were polling on vinyl interest and he asked if I would get one (I have 2 of the CD's) and I said what would I listen to it on, I don't have a record player. He said, I do! So, I'd say that's a yes from me. We would love to have vinyl. I also hope you'll consider doing other compilations in the future. You have so many more beautiful songs I'd love to have on CD/Vinyl.

I vote yes for a vinyl pressing. I have a record player and it needs fresh blood. I mean to say, fresh music. 😁 I wonder how Geoff will sound coming through my ceiling speakers from an actual stylus on vinyl source. I'm thinking thunder, I may need to weigh the needle down😆!

Oh please do vinyl! I've been collecting vinyl my entire life. I still have my old Carpenters Osmonds, Weird Al, Barry Manolow, etc. Albums. As a matter of fact, if you look on the original vinyls of Weird Al, you'll see some rather interesting proof marks. Or whatever they're called. In that area between the last song and the label. They're little comments or jokes handwritten down. I even have a chunk of my nephew's band. Great collections! 😊😊😊

Yes please. I have so many LP's and 45's I haven't played from the 60/70's, in decades. I am on the look out for a decent record player both for myself and my soon to be 18 year old Grandson, he wants all his Grandads rock/metal albums lol I'm more of the Barry White kinda girl haha.

I can actually still play vinyl - however, I usually just record them to mpg to play. So, no need for vinyl for me. Can't play them anywhere but at home.

I suspect that just a stock photo modified to show the album artwork in vinyl format. Geoff has said he doesn't own a record player, and the few vinyl albums he has he can't play.
