I am someone who doesn't like to move and leave behind my achievements and memories...I have lived in my current home for 31 years and have been contemplating a possible move to something smaller but I don't think I can actually do it. "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans." In the past 24 years, I've moved 12 times. Most of the time, it was because of job changes for my husband, but some were for my jobs and to help out family members who were getting older and needed help. We had ended up living in separate states for a vast amount of that time. My husband kept saying he wanted to move to Florida to retire, so at the end of 2023, with both of us retired, I sold my house in Wisconsin, we bought a house in Palm Coast, and then he was SUPPOSED to get his home in West Virginia cleaned up and on the market. I gave him over a year, but other than the times our son and I came to prod him along, nothing is getting done there. So, we are about to put our house here in Florida on the market and I will be moving in about a week and a half back to his house in West Virginia. Hoping the 13th time is the charm!!!

Congratulations on the new place. I know that feeling of having memories in every corner we just moved out of an apartment that I have lived in for 35 years. I like the new place but it will be much nicer once we arn't living out of bins,boxes and can find things that didn't get quite as organized as I would have liked because we had to move pretty quickly due to a mold issue. Thankfully I did make a box marked in big letters FIRST. So we had the stuff for the first night if we were too tired to do anything else. It contained a can opener , Tylenol, Lactaid, paper towels, paper plates, trash bags, Tp, a brand new unused plunger, a screw driver , a hammer, bandaids, the phone number to our favorite pizza place scralled in marker on the inside flap so the guys didnt have to bug me for it,food for our guinea pig and a Starbucks card fully loaded. The Coffee desperately needed to survive the week long move as Mother nature played a cruel trick on us. It haddent snowed all winter except maybe an inch or so which is unusual for NH. So we were set to move in Feb 10th and she decided to dump 10 inches in the first storm along with 30 mile an hour gusts of wind for the next 3 days. Followed by another 5 inches and -15 at night. I give my guys big props for trudging up and down the outside stairs (17 a landing and 3 more) of out old place with everything we owned then into the new place. We slept on the floor the first night. It wasn't bad however getting up off the floor was an entirely different story. Thank God for sturdy window sills 🤪. Congratulations on the new chapter of your life, Castellucci's. I'm amazed at what Geoff did in the house! With my two left hands i couldn't do 10% of it. I hope the new place is in a better initial shape so Geoff doesn't have to work as hard on that one too. I'm not greedy, for sure, but a moving video BTS style would be cool. I can see why you wouldn't do it, and i would have my issues myself, but, like i said before, i just love BTS, and i refuse to believe that i'm the only one that wants to see the party that it must have been with all the friends helping, and the party at the end, with lots of food and music. I get that feeling. When my parents sold my childhood house in edinburgh, I was 28 but living back there full time for the first time since I was 18 as I was saving to emigrate to australia. It was emotional and even though I still have “my room” at my parent’s new house it’s in a different town so even when I travel across the world for trips home it’s hard leaving my city (edinburgh) without going to that childhood home. I really want to go round and ask the new owners if I can come in and see what they’ve done but honestly it might break my heart to see it completely different. So many memories in that house. Hope the new place is everything you want x

Best wishes! We lost our house in 2013 (job loss, disability) and it was rough transitioning. We finally settled into a nice condo that has a garage underneath in 2015. It's a beautiful place with a view out both ends, and it's nice to not have to worry about replacing appliances, roofing, etc. in our senior years. I still miss "home" but I realize this is best for us now. Enjoy your new journey :)
