Happy Thanksgiving! Merry Christmas! Wondrous All the things!

This one took a WHILE to puzzle out, but we got there in the end.

Fun fact - O Come, O Come, Emmanuel had it's origins in the Monastery 1200 years ago, which makes it ALMOST as old as I am.

Thanks for everything and enjoy the video, everyone! PERKS FORTHCOMING!

Wendy Deed

Great version of one of my favourite carols thanks very much

Loralei Dragon

I'm glad you came back to this one, it came out so well!

Rachel P.

This was amazing, and of course the lows and mids were as jaw-dropping as always, BUT, and this is a big BUT: the second from the left Geoff that did the higher notes and runs this time was fantastic. It's so weird typing this, since they're all the same person, but if I was listening to it without a video, I'd swear it was all different people.

Helen D

This is lovely, great video sounds brilliant. 😊👏

Ashley Evers

New record for how old you are claiming to be? I guess unless we count claiming you were friends with dinosaurs 🤣

Ms Molly

OMG This is my all time favorite Christmas carol! I'm so thrilled you're doing it! This is just gorgeous!

Amy Murray

Very well done Geoff! This sounds amazing!

Amy Murray

Added bonus: my 6yo even loves this.

Manasi Kane

I was hoping you’d do this one ! I’m happy you did it in this epic way ! Epic hymns are kinda your thing now! ❤️ Use all the threatening drums for Christmas music now and henceforth , please and thank you ! 🤣❤️

Amber

Never cared for this song before but I absolutely love your voice in this one. Will absolutely be listening to it this holiday season! Merry Christmas Geoff 🎄

Denaliland

That was wonderful! A perfect start to the Season of Wonder . Thank You

Sandy Nickell

Magnificent, beautiful! That was incredible Geoff! It was well worth the 2 year wait! I can’t wait to see what the world’s reaction will be! My only criticism, it was too short. I got in it. But you had a smooth ending which I appreciated. Loved it!

Jeanne Marsh

I was wondering the other day why you Voiceptlay have never done this. 2 years is a good reason. Thank you and may your Christmas be as good as good as you'vem you've made ours.

Paige Voorhees

We casted this video to the TV and made it a family viewing. My 3 yr old daughter might not like pumpkin pie, but she likes Geoff!

Ashley Evers

I was really hoping for this one as the next entry in your epic Christmas series, and you really didn't disappoint. I am entirely enthralled, than you so much!

Stacey V.

VERY NICE ❤️ I can see why you chose to take a break from it because what was going on in the world during that time. Its such a beautiful song to start with. You add you touch to it makes it that much more special. Hopefully it will help to usher a safe Holliday season for everyone. For people who celebrate Christmas and for other religions as well. May all enjoy the holliday season and Peace for all. Thank You Geoff. ❤️❤️❤️

Marie DesJardin

Merry Thanksmas, my friend. That was lovely. I'm basking in lovely nostalgia now

C. McClean

Never heard this before. So going to just listen to it until Christmas of 2035. Just to get it right.

Douglas Hill

I’m thinking that’s Elmer. He has a different, but pleasant, tone from Daryl. ;)

Emily Houk

Wow, I actually had to put on headphones and feel all those colorful tones bc my speakers just didn't do it justice! Loved it!

Tommy Velisaris

“The words that come out of my mouth, I can’t be held responsible for.” - Geoff Castellucci, 2025 I feel like we gotta make that into some kind of merch

Melodee Kemp

This is one of my favorite Christmas carols!! My husband’s barbershop quartet sang this when right before he proposed to me! Your version is phenomenal!

Talbot

Oh! One of my favorites! Thank you so much. I love how you cut through the bass with your stellar high notes. Like adding sugar to coffee!

Douglas Hill

One of my absolute favorite holiday songs since way back when. Wonderful done. Is it just me or do the clones on the left seem to be wearing lifts? They look taller than center Geoff and the clones on the right. lol

Sarah Borzelli

Wow Geoff! You did it again! You outdid yourself!!! The harmonies in this are so so so so gorgeous - as beautiful as never before I feel! The higher vocals, woah - Could it be that you sing more beautifully every time?! I love the battle drums so much! And I ADORE the oh's sections! "the elves go to war" that's definitely the vibe!!! Also it feels like a wake-up call for the world. Oh the goosebumps!! Gosh the whole intricate instrumentation is simply brilliant! The set fits the vibe so well too. I am fully in love with your Carol of the Bells - but I think you even topped that one and I found a new favorite! Thank you, thank you, thank you for this piece of greatness Mr. Castellucci!!!

Cloudy Skies

This was/is delightful! Thanks!

Talbot

And Merry All-The-Things to you, too.

Barbara Shuman

Your vocals in this are just mesmerizing. I find myself watching it over and over. Truly stunning. So glad you gave this one another shot. Beautiful. Thanks, Geoff.

Cloudy Skies

How can the clones be different heights?

Karin Wolf

Woke up too late for the premiere - dang... listened now here in the middle of the night. Sounds complicated and needs many many re-listenings.. 🥰 Looking good, Mr. C!

Åse M Bruun Lagnestål

This reminded me of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. This is goooode. 🥰 //Åse

Tara Williamson

My favorite Advent song and you knocked it out of the park!

Ginia (gin-ya)

This was so pleasant and trance inducing, in the best way! I love the epicness of Carol of the Bells but this one just takes you out of this world to another plane. I could listen to this on repeat and not tire of it. It makes me want a Dusty Old Christmas Songs CD 😉 That's my Christmas wish. Lol I already have all the VP Christmas CDs. 😊

Jaezrar

This is great! Early Merry Christmas to you all!

Brittany Nanney

Absolutely beautiful Geoff!! What a wonderful ending to a very hectic day. 🥰

Zoie McIntyre

Merry Christmas everyone - this was brilliant Geoff. I loved it so much. <3 xoxo

Ireland Jeppesen

Geoff you have done it again! You have taken my breath away🩷

Hwyla

Oh Geoff! This was just beautiful! Quite lovely. Thank you! BTW - you missed the opportunity when talking pies to say all those pies 'in your pie hole'. I was certain you would say it. Seems your style.

Magz

Wow. WOW. WOWWOWWOW. OK. I completely understand not wanting to release it then, it was a good call. But it was definitely worth the wait. It's beautiful. And an epic companion to COTB 👍🏻 The "rejoice, rejoice" at the 6min mark (in this video) is resoundingly uplifting and the drops afterwards are a gorgeous contrast. I'm LOVING the tribal drums and how you gave it a kind of Nordic feel. ❄️ This is getting added to my Top Christmas Faves playlist as soon as I can get my paws on it! Merry Christmas AND Happy Thanksgiving 😉😍🤍

Beth Comer

I was so excited as I clicked play, and it truly did not disappoint. And the longer I sit with your music, the more I like it, so this one is clearly going to be a favorite. It's an absolutely wonderful reimagining of this piece, and yeah... the timing is probably better now. Kathy is wise.

Jill Peterson

I'm glad you returned to this song. It was well worth the wait. May you and your family have a Peaceful and Happy Holiday Season.

KorKnot

Thank you, Cloudy Skies. I thought I was seeing things & figured me eyes were playing a trick on me. 🤔

Tonia Richardson

Jazzy. Haunting. Peace-inducing. Beautiful job, Geoff! Mahalo nui from Kauai! ❤️🌺💜

Stacy K

I enjoyed that. But I kept wondering why the 2 Geoff's stage right are like 2 inches taller. Yes I know, I am a theatre techie that notices that kind of thing. haha

KorKnot

Geoff & Kathy, thank you for this. 😃 Wonderfully done & all the other positive words I can't think of to type. It will be a repeatedly-played song.

Shirley27

As usual, I love it. 😘

Daniel Anderson

Thanks for another sure to be phenomenal song Geoff! Between you and all of the songs Voiceplay has released, I have so much to look forward to! Your guys' All My Life cover was so beautiful! Anyway, thanks for the update and, as always, brightening up my evening! Happy Thanksgiving to you Geoff♥️😊

Meg Dailey

Well that's going directly on the Christmas playlist as soon as it's public~

Meg Dailey

No same, I was like "this is five of the same guy, how'd they do that?" XD

christine smith

My favorite Christmas Carol! Thank you so much.

Lynn M

This is definitely a worthy “follow up” to Carol of the Bells and God Rest ye Merry Gentlemen. I particularly enjoyed the higher solos and high harmonies.

Carol Franklin

Happy Thanksgiving Merry Christmas! This has never been a favourite of mine so you’ve solved that as usual 🤣 absolutely brilliant 🤩

Loretta Durand

This is one of my absolute favorite Christmas songs and I love your rendition! Thank you.

Ilona Dever

One of the most plaintive, hopeful, joyful hymns of all time!!! Wonderful version, Geoff!

J.L.

Do pardon me while I search the floor for my jaw, it should be down there somewhere. =^,^= Merry Christmas to you all as well.

Judi B E

I listen to all of you music with ear buds. This one filled every nook and cranny of my brain with such golden tones. The whole thing just surrounded me, up close and personal, differently than anything of yours before. Was there something done differently in production? Everything you do is wonderful, but this is so close. It's just like when a child gets their first pair of glasses and all of a sudden, wow, the whole world looks bright, clear, snd beautiful. Thank you for this embrace of a song. Amazing.

Agnes EvaR

It’s 5:15 am, I’m barely conscious, and I’ve already had to listen to the song a few times. As always, there’s so much to pay attention to. What I want to say first is: bravo, and thank you. I really love it. I’ve always loved the “instruments” you use and how you play with them. The rhythm is so good and I loooove the drums. I’ll keep listening in the morning, and I might come back with more comments… or I’ll just keep listening. 🥰 And I can’t wait for the session walkthrough — I’m really curious about the earlier version. And again: thank you!

Dolly Geotes

This song was(is) so amazing I absolutely loved it Merry Christmas to You Kathy William and Tommy

Marie Galaxy

In all my years, and there have been many, I have not heard this song much. When I have, it hasn’t captured my attention as one I would seek to listen to. However, your version has indeed captured my attention! Call it fandom if you will, but I truly WANT to listen to this, over and over. Thank you for this beautiful Christmas Carol!

Maggie S

Most Excellent! Beautiful take on an old, old chant. Thank you.

Katherine Powell

One of my favorite and seemingly overlooked Christmas songs. I'm glad to have a Geoff-ified version. 😁💚❤️

Cécile Roussey

It’s super beautiful! I got carried away by your voice and it was magical. I loved it ^^ <3

Scott Bean

I love your music, and your voice ... Man oh man. No words. Never liked this particular song, until you blessed us with it. Thank you

Bishop

That was absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much !

Suzy Bailey

I know the title but it turns out the lyrics didn't ring any bells (pardon the pun)! So this is completely new to me, I really like it and those harmonies are divine! Thank you Geoff, this may well become one of my favourites! 💜

Crisstina Joubert

Oh. My. GOSH. Beautiful!! Thank you so very much, love to hear your amazing range, this is food for the soul! Happy Christmas!❤️❤️‍🔥🥰

Leigh D

My birthday is tomorrow. What a wonderful birthday present.

Loralei Dragon

Oh Geoff's been saying that for years! 😆

Susan Weaver

Holy cow! Whatever caused you to hold off on releasing this was worth it. I absolutely loved every aspect of this arrangement. I think I'm officially in the Christmas spirit now.

Susana

Hi, Geoff. I had never listened to it, in my country it isn't usual to listen to Christmas songs. I really admire your voice Geoff, thanks for sharing it with us and your time as well. Have a wonderful weekend.

Karen Grace

Wow! That was totally awesome! It was also fun watching all the Geoffs do variations of the same hand movements. I like watching the expressiveness in your hands.

Suzann Harris

Oh my . . . Just beautiful, Geoff . . . Overwhelmed with joy . . .

Sheila Stephens

Thank you for doing one of my absolute favorites! There’s something about these old minor key Advent and Christmas carols that immediately lift me out of all my overthinking. Your performance was so lovely! I felt every muscle in my body relax, like I was floating along on the music. Happy Christmas!

Maria Rydström

What a wonderful Christmaspresent you are giving us. So beautyful. Merry Christmas to you and your family❤️

Nathan Wahl

So nice. It just is so you. Absolutely beautiful. Other than the tasteful really low notes when appropriate, no vocal gymnastics when none are needed. Fantastic, thank you.

Nathan Wahl

In theater you don't have to deal with camera depth of field parameters. If you think about it, the end permutations of Geoff are further from the lens, so they should appear smaller, but because of the lens used, they don't actually.

Mia

This might be because it reminds me of being a youthful goth before I grew up to be suburban boring. But give me all the dark, minor key, dressed in black, Christmas music. The happy tunes don't hit as hard. This is beautiful.

Karen & Lauren

As someone who was a liturgical church musician for over 30 years, let me first get over my *gasp* "this is an ADVENT carol, not a Christmas carol". Eventually I will get over my second *gasp* that you essentially removed 90+% of the 'monastic' sound I so dearly hold in my heart and memory of this carol. It is quite the deviation. That aside, as I continue to listen, it is growing on me. I absolutely love your harmonic choices, as they have become something I expect from you. I know it was quite the challenge with all those super high notes, and they are absolutely stunning. It continues to amaze me how your arranging skills can take something so loved somewhere so unexpected. Don't ever stop being you.

Gillian Drysdale

I want these guys to come sing carols outside my house!

ChazyUK

Just got up to this wonderful release : ) I have never heard this one before but I love it. The ranges Geoff are so, not sure of the correct term so will go with crisp and clear, love the mid one, very warm and smooth but then we get the highs and woah, so good. Well done again Geoff, you never fail to bring us all the very best everything : )

Karen Campbell

This is so beautiful. Thank you 😊

Jeanette Pencz

I never heard this song before. But that doesn’t matter. I was immediately hooked and overwhelmed. What a gorgeous song. Your voice is truly a gift to the world. Thank you so much for this early Christmas present 😘 Happy belated Thanksgiving. Merry Christmas. Happy Easter 😂

ChazyUK

Me too Gillian : )

ChazyUK

Karen I agree, the arrangements are always so stunning, I do hope we get a walk through even though I sit there with a blank expression being a pre novice all things music theory haha. I really love learning all the terms and even if I say so myself lol I think I am starting to pick up very small things like, minor v major sounds/tones/ I don't know the correct term yet, maybe chords ? : )

Tracy K

This is gorgeous, although I still prefer COTB..... def COTB2 though. 😁 Well worth the 2yr wait. I love watching multiple Geoffs all gesturing away, but in slightly different ways. Do you script that too? Merry Christmas to you and yours too, Geoff.

ChazyUK

Marie, I have never heard this before, like ever but there is something about Geoffs voice and amazing arrangement skills that hit me every time like a ton of bricks : ) I don't think its fandom but of course we wont know until it goes public. I just think Geoff casts the most wonderful vocal spells, full of hard work and his beautiful voice, he could sing the Alphabet song and I would listen haha : )

ChazyUK

You are not alone, first time ever I have heard this, it must be catchy though lol listened once and I am now humming it in my head haha : )

ChazyUK

Aww that is so cute : )

ChazyUK

Great summing up Manasi, I feel the same re the ''threatening drums'' : )

Åse M Bruun Lagnestål

I realize how much mom would’ve loved this. This arrangement showcases all of your range and warmth in your voice - the voice she held so dear and listened to until the very last day of her life. ❤️ I miss my mom. 💔 And I too love to listen to your voice. 🥰 //Åse

Filiz E

Never heard this song before but your version is so beautiful! Merry Christmas!!

Christine O'Grady

Such a breath of fresh air compared to the ubiquitous jingles we are surrounded by at this time of year. Thank you Geoff for bringing us Christmas.

ANITA M WRIGHT

Everything you do turns to gold! This is a masterpiece! Thanks Geoff!

Karen & Lauren

Chords are indeed something that is major or minor (and other variations). That is the foundation of the tonal progression. Key is also something that is major or minor (with variations). That establishes the overall tonality of the song. It provides basic guidelines to what chords are (traditionally) used. This tune, for your clarification, is in a minor key, and like God Rest Ye, Geoff chose to end on a Picardy (major chord).

Jacky Friedman

I do too. I watch his hands a lot when he's singing. Especially as multiple Geoff's.

Rev Jessie

This is lovely! What a perfect way to head into Advent. I was hoping you would choose to do this song. Thank you, sir.

Julie Stubbs

What a way to kick off the holiday season!

Liesbeth

What an incredible arrangement! So original, so creative and truly stunning! I love it so much ❤️

Martina Kraft

Don't know this version of the song. You hope we enjoy it? No worries about that, it is absolutely gorgeous

PetraH

How beautiful!! I am not so much into Christmas songs, although I love love love your Carol of the Bells. And I think I can now add another one, that I really love. Maybe because it is not all jingle bells etc ? So this is what happens when you use endless glaciers, arctic swells, peace of mind, hammers, and damage drums: the world gets an amazing, wonderful, creative arrangement with most beautiful harmonies. Thank you, Geoff & Kathy!! Looking forward to a session walkthrough! Happy Holiday season to you all :-)

Amanda Nott

Beautiful rendition of this song! I didn't even notice the differing heights of Geoff. What did catch my eye, however, was that the shadows on the floor kept changing between scenes. I imagine that is a bit of a technological challenge to try to figure out how to blend the shadows from all those different characters together since there'd only ever be a shadow for one person at a time in the original videos. But I think it came out great!

Latte Lover

So glad you chose this lesser-known (outside of church) carol! And I love how your multiple Geoffs create variety in this intentionally repetitive song. Not to mention your beautiful voice! 💚♥️💚❤️💚

Scott Pearce

I never heard this sing before, it was great

Pixy P

Definitely worth the wait! It's an absolutely gorgeous rendition and the harmonies were glorious 💖

Pat P

😁😊

Del Rhea Watson

Stunningly beautiful. Plaintive, reverent, soul-soothing. I’ll have this on repeat play at my animal shelter as I work with my cats. They will respond to its zen goodness just like I have. Soothing the hearts of all savage beasts at Yuletide. 😻🎄

Bill

Beautiful bass version. I lost the lead vocal on Emmanuel, oh come to... (3:50-4:03). Hopefully you don't mind my thoughts 🤔 Gorgeous version of one of my top 10 favorites!!! 💜👂🏼🎚️🎵🎤🎶🎅🏼🌟👼🏼🕯️

Jen A AKA Dravengal

Fantastic arrangement, whooo, those low notes rocked my headphones! And the set and video is so beautiful in its simplicity. Just gorgeous. Love it to bits! Happy holidays to you and yours, Mr. Castellucci!💛🤎

Marie Galaxy

Oh Chazy, the fandom sits right here at Patreon! Yes, his voice is everything!

Rahel

🫂❤️

Jay Fritz

This is awesome. I'm wondering at the fact that sometimes some of you appear to be taller than others of you. It's amazing the way you put these together. Loved it. I'm still holding out hope for Do You Hear What I Hear. Merry Christmas, Geoff!!

Silv E

This is so, so beautiful - the way it tells a story, building in certainty from verse to verse; the little moments that recall other songs: the locusts, the strings, the drums, that last chord! Though you stopped and started work on it, I can *feel* a two year journey in there I love it!!! I ended up listening*all night*. (I'm also delighted you went with a slightly more ... classic tune than usual. Brings back those medieval memories, eh? 😉)

Silv E

I think it's just that the camera is closer to the left

Silv E

Can't wait for the walkthrough!

donna stockwell

You are so creative and you brought it to life. Thank you 😍

Lizzy Hite

Such a cool arrangement—love it!!

Scott Boa

Wow....simply wow

Lora Bauder

This was sooooo beautiful! Thank you for sharing your talent with us!

James Yang

Love the picardy third on the very last note... Just felt there is a glimpse of joy and hope!! Always enjoyed your creativity in reimaging songs!! Great work Geoff!!

Gail R.

Beautiful. Wonderful arrangement. Wise to delay the release.

Swan

The lighting is inspired in this video. not sure what about it is different but it looks super cool!! And the arrangement and singing are as always utterly lovely <3 Happy Holidays

Jamie T.

Finally got a chance to watch this! It's so nice to hear what, for me anyways, is a "lesser known" Christmas carol. I am asolutely blown away by the harmonies in this. It is so obvious how much work & dedication you put into everything you do. And you just keep getting better & better! Merry Christmas to you, Kathy, William, Tommy & family!

Terri

Fabulous! Other versions can’t compare to yours. Can’t get enough of your Christmas music.

Jonna J

I'm not sure if I've ever heard this song before, but I really like this. I wish I knew more about music theory, so I could explain things better. I'm really tempted to switch to higher tier, in case there is a walkthrough session with more explanations about all the things in the song. The starting really brings in the monastic chant feeling with the church bell in there and kind of sets the expectations of how the song will be. The first "Rejoice" part sounds so full and harmonious and then ofc the crunchy cords kick in and makes you realize this is going to be interesting. Another part that really stood out to me was around 2 minutes in, when we come again to the "Rejoice" part and the mournful violin creeps in and it feels like it's kind of highlighted by the other strings. I also liked the ending with the "delayed" piano. To me it evoked feelings of sorrow and exhaustion, but it felt bit hopeful at the end.

CatBird

Absolutely love any music performed by you. As a political being, however, this is not one I will listen to at this point in history.

ChazyUK

Hi, Karen & Lauren, thank you so much for taking the time to explain the structure : ) I guessed right yeah, I thought it was minor at the beginning but couldn't tell you why just yet as I don't have the vocab but it shows I am picking the differences in sound up and beginning to understand why sounds are either light and bright or darker ( see that's as far as my understanding goes lol ) I will persevere though, every explanation helps so thank you : )

ChazyUK

Me too Karen and Jacky : )

ChazyUK

Marie you are right, we are his bestest fans, we love him unconditionally : )

ChazyUK

Joanna, you explained the theory parts much better than I could, I love you brought in emotions too, so important to the audience I feel : )

ChazyUK

Me too Silv : )

ChazyUK

Sending big Hugs for you Ase : )

Rev Jessie

After watching this for the umpteenth time, Mr. Castellucci, please, please tell us you will share how you managed to make yourself look different heights in this video. I love the song and that special effects is making me nuts trying to figure it out.

Tina Wolf

This song is stunning love the harmony totally amazing got chills

Cindy Barber

One of my favorite Christmas songs ever, it's always on my Christmas playlist multiple times, and you did a great job! Love all the harmonies, it may have taken a while, but I think it was worth it!

Hwyla

Yesterday in church we sang this hymn (1st Advent Sunday) and I was actually somewhat disappointed that it was much higher than your version. Which is ridiculous, since as a soprano there is no possible way I could sing it in your range! But your version really emphasizes the beauty of this song for me. Also - yours is really the first new song of the season for me - that also emphasizes the 'Come! Oh Come!' of the advent. I hope it is released into the wild soon. I so wanted to send it to someone and then remembered it was only on Patreon at this point

Cletis

It's a lovely arrangement and as always incredible singing. I do wonder if, given what's happening in the world, releasing a song about "poor downtrodden Israel" is appropriate?

Rhonda Davey

If anyone is intrigued by Geoff’s comments on how far back the origins of this carol go back, a video just published on YT by the Ben Maton The Salisbury Organist goes into the details of both the lyrics and the music. The words and music were put together relatively recently (150 year-ish) but both have seperate and very ancient origins. I didn’t want to cross promote another channel, but an organist specialising in old English churches isn’t going to be competing for the same demographic as Geoff. One of the points Ben makes in that video is how ancient music should be reworked for a new audience.

Tema Krempley

I love the melody and harmonies. The drums I feel were overpowering. If they had been turned down just a tad bit, it would be perfect.

Karen & Lauren

anyone who knows this carol knows that it is a Christian reference to the time period when most of the known world was under Roman rule.

Cletis

During Roman rule the area was known as Judea. Please check your history.

Miran Tideturner

This is a space to enjoy Geoff's music, not to have an argument about an extremely complicated issue that causes suffering on all sides of the conflict. One can oppose a government's action without judging its people as a whole for it. Let Geoff's work stand on its own merits and let's keep this space stress-free for all involved.

LindaV

Another of my favorite Christmas carols, and so beautifully done, my friend whom I’ve never met! Happy, Merry!

LindaV
