Amazing!

Tine

Hahaha Oakley panting in the background is hilarious😂 interesting that it is trending now but cool!

LaRae

Great news, Geoff! You deserve all your success.❤️

Mikki Fullerton

Looks like you got a new vocal percussionist there. Seems big on both inhale and exhale techniques. Love your chuckling at him. 😄❤️

Pickle Sandwich

I sang this one to one of my cousin’s little girls

C

Always a joy to hear you "in the air"!

Tina Wolf

Lov this song and Thomas is like what u singing dad

MEGAN FEAR

Got to love a big John machine

Åse M Bruun Lagnestål

Funny though, my class showed me the Big John Machine trend. You can find it on YouTube too. 😎👍

Annnnnnnik

It is crazy, I wonder where the idea even came from🤨 but that will probably boost some views so in the end that's super cool!

Leonie Frenkert-Ghazi

Some minutes ago I listened to your version! 😃 But I don't have TikTok... what's the story with that song 🤔?

Manasi Kane

It didn’t involve treats or pets, of course he’s unimpressed 🤣 Everyone else on the other hand .. ❤️ Congratulations on becoming a meme 🤣

Emma Yadkin

Thomas will give Oakley music appreciation lessons.

Debs Badger

An audiophile used the song to show off their high-end audio setup, and it took off from there.

Patricia Schuman

This was the first premiere that I saw after joining your Patreon and the only time I have ever correctly guessed the song from the screenshot you posted, saying "Something bad is coming," LOL. Also the first BTS I saw and William was trying so hard to mimic that drop 😋

Helen D

Congrats 👏

Sarah Borzelli

(((((Joooooooooohn)))) - you're out to break the $1M music systems! You final boss you!

Daniel Anderson

I can see why it's trendy. All your songs should be, Geoff. You do every song justice in my opinion. ❤️

Marna Brown

Glad to see you and you look better and sound better too! As far as BBJ : I listen to it all the time. It's one of my Tn Ernie favs. I have loved it since I was a little girl, which is longer than you have been born, Mister!!!

Cloudy Skies

Gotta love dogs ... they are underwhelmed if it doesn't involve snacks.

Delila Hall

Jimmy Dean recorded his version in 1961. But I like Geoff’s version.

Marie Galaxy

Oakley just needs to hear it again! He’s young. Surely he wasn’t paying attention the first time. So glad TikTok is finally good for something! 😁

Marna Brown

I agree, Daniel. I have yet to hear any song he has ever done not come out way better!

Latte Lover

Ooooh, for once I was ahead of a trend!

Jen

I listen to it all the time on the CD I bought from you dusty old songs

Nathan Wahl

Interesting harmonies on that one.

Ilona Dever

Trending is a good thing evidently!!

Filiz E

I am as unimpressed as Oakley!! 😍❤️

Silv E

Very nice! How much? (You're supposed to tell us the price of the Big John machine...)😜

Doyne

Just never know when something will go viral! Release something great....and then wait a few years!

Robin Rossenfeld

I just discovered that my "like" had disappeared at some point of the past four years. I have rectified that and am back on the Big John trending train!

Talbot

That wasn't the dog panting - it was me. 😍

B Sprak

If Oakley is to be impressed, a walk or treat must be included. However, your voice singing is treat enough for me, so thank you!

Shirley27

I loved it then and even more now

Susan Pratt

This is wonderful news though! I'm happy for you, Geoff!!!

Donald Webster

I have listened to it more than a few times.(awaiting new songs.😊)

Tracie Schlaak

I love that song! Had the 45 when I was younger and the B side had a great song too. I Won’t go Huntin' With You, Jake (But I'll Go Chasin Wimmin) 😊

Zoie McIntyre

lol I love your video of that song Geoff. Thanks for sharing your Tik Tok stuff here ;)

Diane Holland

I saw the video on Tik tok a year ago. I am happy that you are trending. Another achievement you never expected to accomplish.

Cécile Roussey

That’s great :-D I am happy for you and I like your version rather than the original sincerely...

Marie DesJardin

I think Oakley was quite complimentary. He only looked disappointed because you stopped. I will stand by this story (and sneak Oakley some treats)

Judi B E

It is absolutely THE BEST song to check out bass stereo speakers. Your bass notes are not just super low, but they are beautiful, warm, full, and always match the tone of the song they are in. 🧥💋 (Chef's Kiss)

Judi B E

I love my new Honda CR V, but it does not have a CD player. When the engine is rebuilt for my 2016 Kia Rio the ONLY thing about going back to it that I will enjoy will be the CD player, so I can listen to Big John and the other songs on my Dusty Old Songs CD. It will be enough. 🎶🎵🎶

Mitzi Lawson

One of my first videos of you; big fan. 🍀🍀

Jeanette Pencz

Oakley is not at all impressed 😂 He is getting used to it. I am the total opposite 😍

Tema Krempley

Well, it is a very well done version of the song. Enjoy it the newfound fame!

Maria Rydström

A really good song and thank you for sharing it with us who don’t have TikTok 🩷

Suzann Harris

Thrilled "Big Bad John" is trending again! Wonderful piece!

Lori Chaslot

Maybe Oakley’s just camera shy

Christine

I'm not surprised it's trending, it's a great song sung by a great singer!

Amy Murray

Gonna guess the resurgence in popularity has to do with the speaker videos I've been seeing everywhere! Hi Oakley!

Susana

Geoff, Big Bad John is everywhere 😊! That means: more people listening to you, more subscribers, more views and more patrons. You deserve it so much. Thanks for sharing your voice and your time with us. And... This kind of shorts shows 'haters' that you are not AI !! This is your real voice, amazing as ever. Thank you.

PetraH

I am not on TikTok, but I saw the many comments appearing on your YouTube video, puzzled first. Than after searching on YouTube I found videos explaining the Big John Machines and why the „Castellucci Cover“ is so perfect for testing the systems…. 🔥Well, well, well, we could have told them long ago 😁 I hope they discover more of your amazing work! Keep trending 😊

ChazyUK

I don't do TT so thank you Geoff for sharing this. Its so funny that when I first saw all the ''strange'' comments on your YouTube vid of BBJ I really thought they were being unkind in a language I didn't understand lol AKA speaker tech haha. I am so glad I waited long enough for the reason for these strange comments to be relieved to me before I put my foot in it with my fingers in the comments section lol, now that would have been embarrassing haha. Anything that gets you more recognition for your fab releases is wonderful.

Stacey V.

I love noth of those dogs. They are so sweet. ♥️ CONGRATS ! On getting more play time.

Dame Valiant

Oakley looks mostly unimpressed in general! XD But don't worry, WE are really impressed!!

B Sprak

If you want a furry family member to be impressed, or at least feel relaxed when you're using your deepest rumbles, a cat is an excellent option. Why, you ask? Because in general, cats purr at around A0 to B0 (20 to 40 hz), though they can, at times, have higher pitched rumbles (up to 150 hz). A cat will appreciate a good bass and if you're lucky, you'll get one like mine. She nips at the big dog heels and herds them around like a border collie. Why they put up with it, I don't know, but Catriana is the undisputed queen of the household.
