Temper those expectations. We didn't have a ton of BTS footage from this, but a little is better than nothing, right?

Here's a tiny peek into our shoot day. Huge thanks to Layne for helping us out on steadicam for this one.

Enjoy!

Celia

Always love a janky piano.

Dolly Geotes

A simple video but still a beautiful piece of music Thanks for all the time you Kathy and Layne put in

Karin Wolf

Oh my... Layne floating softfooted along swinging in the rhythm of the song is really nice to watch... and shouldn't you get a better piano to guard your ears!? Love EVERY BTS... thanks so much!

Emma Yadkin

I love that lighting effect. The out of tune piano always makes me laugh. Thanks for the BTS.

Manasi Kane

The minimalistic BTS suits the simple vibe of the song just fine ❤️ Geoff playing the janky piano is all that’s needed really 🤣 Thank you for all you do ! Y’all are the best!

Nathan Wahl

Thanks. Always interesting to what goes on during shooting compared to what we see on the finished product! I wondered if you always played the piano part along with the track, too. Hands AND lip sync to get it right! I already knew that you have to do the vocals.

Talbot

GAD, that piano!

Ashley Evers

A little is always better than nothing 😁 Glad you had a nice easy shoot 😁

Mikki Fullerton

Oh gosh, those old out of tune pianos just hurt my soul. 😂And yes, some BTS footage is absolutely better than nothing... I still got a chuckle!

Joyce Miller

What a way to start my day! How long do we have to wait for the finished product?

ChazyUK

Thank you Geoff, Kate, Layne and anyone else involved 😊 OMG I love that piano 🎹 lol 😂 it’s the best, I really don’t know why you don’t use it in the actual release 😆😆😆😆 sounds fab and I’m far from an expert lol 😂 Funny as heck this BTS loved watching it as always 😊

KB👑

ALL HAIL LAYNE! geoff is okay too... I GUESS 😂😂😂

Filiz E

Thanks for sharing!

Helen D

Very nice, love the lighting. Video turned out just right for this. ☺️

Debs Badger

While appreciated, you are NOT obligated to generate BtS footage every time! It's not even a promised perk in your campaign. Give yourselves a break. 💕

Maria Rydström

A beautyful song and it’s always nice with a BTS . It doesn’t matter if it’s a short or a long one. Thank you🩷

Cloudy Skies

Thank you for everything you do for us. This was a perfect bts. I love to cringe over that janky piano.

Åse M Bruun Lagnestål

Demanding is an understatement. I admire your patience playing on a piano that is so totally out of tune. 🎵😖

Azrielen

LMAO does Kate get a direction credit on this one? She should. XD

Gillian Drysdale

btw if patreon offered to pay for it would you get a piano tuner?

Jeanette Pencz

🤣🤣 oh my. I have zero knowledge of music but even for me the piano sounds a little bit strange 🤣🤣 Thank you so much Geoff, Layne and Kathy. The BTS is always a goodie no matter how long or short it is. 😘

Susana

We all love BTS! Thank you Geoff for sharing it with us. 😊 That piano 🤦🏻‍♀️

Eileen Parkman

With how often that piano is moved around and manhandled, it wouldn't stay in tune very long, so it's really not worth the expense for what's basically just a prop/set dressing

Gillian Drysdale

we are talking pianos here right? not VP members Layne stop manhandling Eli he’s fine were he is!

Jen

Love the lighting choice and simple background it really suits the song just sorry to know that your ears May be bleeding from the out of tune show piano. I think it's great how you all support each other

Silv E

That does it, I'm putting piano tuning school on my calendar so I can help y'all out. 😆 Anyway, thanks for the BTS - it doesn't need to be extravagant to be appreciated!

Loralei Dragon

Gah, now my ears are bleeding from that piano 😵‍💫

Loralei Dragon

At this point we should just name that piano Janky 🤣

PetraH

Thanks so much for taking the time to do BTS during your busy shoot days! Always so much fun and, long or short, always so appreciated! Thanks to you, Kathy and Layne 😊 PS: Can we/should we do a special Patreon campaign for this poor piano 🎹☠️??

Sarah Borzelli

Gosh that piano is very...avantgarde 🤣 Everyone would poop their pants playing that 🤣

Jim Weisz

I'm always impressed at how well you play that beast of a piano.

Karen & Lauren

I don't even think that Elton John could figure how to play something in tune on that.... and tbh, it seems to have gotten worse since we last heard it.

Leslie Langfitt

All BTS is loved and appreciated, but I am soooo happy for this one. I lowkey love that janky out of tune piano.

Debs Badger

There really isn't a point in doing anything for the piano. It gets moved around, stored away in some corner of PattyCake, etc. it would be a waste of money.

Angela Scheiber

Janky pianos are great fun if you don't have to do more than a whole song in them. Maybe do use it for sound effect on a Halloween one maybe? No? Anyways, thx for the BTS. The lighting is great btw

Amanda Nott

Thanks for the BTS! It's always fun to watch!

Christine

Thanks as always.

Lady D Richter

It's always fun to see Layne in his Mech Suit!

Cécile Roussey

It was so cool ^^ And the piano is reminiscent of an old piano from my parents where it’s out of tune with the white keys that are a bit broken and the same wood color... it reminds me of playing, composing on this piano ^^ And the end where you act like a clown lol I really laughed ^^ You’re still making out like an old man’s voice :-D Mééééé!!! just like in BTS Ring of Fire where you were completely unleashed, you couldn’t stop lol XD

Diane Holland

I do believe it is time to get that piano tuned. I don't know how Geoff played that all day without going crazy. Well, maybe. . . . .

Marna Brown

Spread eagle on the piano? Where were Kathy's ropes when she needed them?! I never actually realized how much time y'all have in between takes. I love 'em. How in the world can u sing on key playing that piano? Thanks for the video Kathy! It was good no matter how short. Hugs 🤗

Zoie McIntyre

Thanks for sharing with us! I love the behind the stage videos. Layne - what an amazing videographer he is and you are so lucky to have Kathy - am I right?!!! Thanks all of you! xoxo

Zoie McIntyre

Btw - Happy Mothers Day Kathy!!! xoxo

Tema Krempley

Another piano to join the long list of omg that’s horribly out of tune pianos. How do you keep finding these things? Is it a game?

Crisstina Joubert

Thank you, love to see you play the piano and see your smiles!❤️

Delila Hall

I really could listen to Geoff play the piano all day. Just maybe not THAT piano.

Sharon Bapp

I love that piano! Has to be the only one of its kind! You have to have a real talent to be able to play that beauty!

Marna Brown

Just a guess here...... too much sugar and too much coffee? ❤️❤️❤️❤️😆
