It’s a GRAND opening!!! 🎉

I’ve been hesitant to release any kind of “branded” merchandise because, quite honestly, it just feels weird to be putting my own name on a shirt and selling it. Maybe younger, cooler, more interesting folks can get away with that kind of stuff, but I wanted to feel comfy cozy with whatever “Geoff” offerings… um… “Geofferings” I was putting out there in the world. The kind of thing that might be a little more understated than the typical BLOCK LETTER ALL BOLD typeface that we’re all used to seeing everywhere. The kind of thing where if you know, you KNOW, and if you don’t, you might see it and say “huh, that’s cool, I wonder what that is?”
So… it took a little while, but as of 8am EST today, there are few different (and hopefully iconic) graphics for you to peruse, and if something catches your fancy, go for it, if not, that’s also totally cool.
The first is an original piece of art I commissioned from a Singapore based artist. It’s what I’ve come to call the “infinite gramophone” and it looks exactly how it sounds. Hand drawn, meticulously detailed, and pretty eye catching, if I say so myself.
The second is actually just my handwriting. It’s a “-G”, which is my typical sign off. I knew that there were going to be plenty of people out there that wanted to show their support by wearing my name emblazoned on their chest or back, but I just can’t wrap my head around it, also my name is really long. I often wish I’d had the foresight to come up with a sweet sounding pseudonym that would look great in print like “COLD DIARRHEA” or “IRON CHEESE” or “HOTDOG FEET”, but time only works in one direction and “HOTDOG FEET” was already taken. Sigh…
The third is what so many of you had asked for - the “Old & Boring” design. Well, I couldn’t in good conscience let anyone walk around silently informing the world that THEY were the ONLY old and boring person and hog all the glory. There are just so many of us who are ALSO Old & Boring that I decided a Society must be formed, a slogan forged, and a catchy victorian era design formulated forthwith! And thus the “Old & Boring Society” was born. Not only am I the boring president, I’m also the oldestest and boringest member. “Ancient Forever” and proud.
So there you go, Enjoy all the things - there are sure to be a few items that pop up now and again as times change and interests sway from this to that, but my affection for you is everlasting. Thank you for everything.
