Amber Scott

I'm praying it's Big Bad John!

Nathan Baker

well my last guess is definitely wrong lol

Eileen Parkman

I can tell it was air conditioned in there -- you're wearing a black tank top instead of a white one LOL

Åse M Bruun Lagnestål

I have absolutely no clue whatsoever. 😳 I’m just sure it will be amazingly good, as always. ❤️🎶❤️

Amy Cottrell

My brain Can Only go Back to Sixteen Tons, which you did, so Not That. What other mining work songs are there? probably a Million but Im still working on coffee☕ Something from Handmaids Tale would be Cool.... ohhh... I dunno... but adding yourself in the Shot was a Nice Touch :P

Jordi S

Big Bad John is my best guess

CookieVA

Big Bad John Jimmy Dean? Maybe. I’m getting Sixteen Tons vibes 🥰

Angie Woollard

I’m not sure what about this picture makes you think it’ll be a dead giveaway…I literally have no idea! But I’m super excited to see what it’s all about. I’m getting 16 Tons vibes for sure…

Alan Mueller

Swing low sweet chariot, my sister says 😂 you should really do a cover of that too

Debs Badger

Definitely has a Big Bad John aesthetic. Even if that's not a favorite of mine.

Veronica Thunander

I really don’t know. It’s definitely not “Railroad Worksong” by the Notting Hillbillies, but I just realised how very much I’d love to hear you do that one!

ObscureReferenceWoman

Okay, between the earlier shot and this one…I can see why Big Bad John is coming through.

Carol Franklin

I was well wrong on Shenandoah, totally confused with you & Kathy dancing so I’ll admit defeat early but it looks exciting. Just thought Working in a Coal Mine (if that’s the title)

Eric

Ooh ... I already love that setting! No clue which Song it could be, but it does remind me strongly of Sixteen Tons ...

Hana Keindlová

Big Bad John, or at least I wish for that one now 🖤

Veronica Thunander

😁 I don’t get the reference to that one at all 😂. But I agree it would be great to hear Geoff (or VoicePlay) do it, though!

Hunter

Hmm…I’m blank for guesses. Even though my mind is going “Think older…”

Tal and Bard Lampner

Big Bad John looks like a strong contender. Also tossing a four year old is apparently a great upper body workout!

Gretchen G

Looks like a darker version of 16 Tons. By which I mean you've changed from a white tank top to a black one. 😁 Can't wait to hear & see it!

Veronica Thunander

So many guess Big Bad John and I have no clue what that is... Have to go do a search! 😊

Coda

I'm going to guess that it's a song. And that there'll probably be some bass!

Debs Badger

Originally performed by Jimmy Dean, by the way.

Judy Wilde

That was my thought. Looks like he’s holding a pool cue.

Snappy

I have no idea what could this be, except that it's probably a song. Unless it's a DIY tutorial on fixing stuff in dark places 🤔

J.L.

Oh, tank top... Sorry, you asked something? (c;

Jennifer

I think it's this one too.

Debs Badger

You *can* edit your posts, Tani, in case you didn't know.

Dave Odadjian

Working in the Coal Mine - Devo! Lol

Nana Koranteng

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But I love it when he brings out the tools

Rachael Heidi

Oh lordy, I'm not good at guessing haha. I also get a Sixteen Tons vibe though. Set looks so cool in this photo.

Veronica Thunander

I’ve listened to it now and find it really good (and yes, I recognise it)! I’d love to hear a Geoff-version of it!!

Cindy Barber

Yeah, I'm going to guess Big Bad John, though still could be Bad, Bad Leroy Brown (but mine vibes make me think the former), which were the two I thought of with the first tease as well.... So I guess I'll find out soon

candi lunsford

Hmmmmm.......Tin cup, sledge hammer and lanterns but he's in blue jeans and a tank top, Hmmmm........ I'm still thinking Big Bad John or maybe West Virginia Mine Disaster, but I'd really love to hear Wayfaring Stranger. By the way, NICE guns Geoff! LOL

Melissa Struxness

Bad to the Bone? Big Bad John??? Not sure but exciting

Lady Wytch

Big Bad Geoff...er, John!

Ellen L Brownell

Sledgehammer in hand so, I say Big Bad John.

Randiskye

Per the sledgehammer, I'm casting my guess toward Big Bad John. If it isn't, by the preponderance of comments, I think it should definitely be on the short list for a future video! 😉

Jordan Hollis

I guessed Leeroy Brown, but definitely giving more Big Bad John vibes... can't wait Geoff!

Laxuji

Lordy - Hard Rock Halleluja

Amanda Hovendon

I just listened to Big Bad John. Yeah it’s gotta be that one. It takes place in a mine like Sixteen Tons

TheMarauders

I have never had Big Bad John that people is talking about, i have in memory someone saying “High Ho” from Snow White tho 😂 whatever it will be it will be amazing

Amanda W

No idea, but I love when you wear tank tops.

Rebecca Hendricks

I've also never heard of Big Bad John, but he HAS done Bear Necessities, so it could be High Ho!

michelle noto

I'm hoping it's Big Bad John! If you haven't heard of it, As he says in the Moana medley, look it up! But I'm sure it will be great whatever it is.

R. W. Hansen

The other guesses are so good! I'm going to go out in a limb and guess Chain Gang, original by Sam Cooke I think.

Melisendre

I didn't have High Ho on my mind but it would be so great: 7 Geoff dwarfs! :D

Paul Anguiano

He’s got a shovel in the last picture and a hammer in this. I’m thinking that at the bottom of this mine lies a very big man.

Rosie Boughen

Oh wow, I’ve never heard Big Bad John - but I’m 15 seconds into listening to it, I think you’ve all guessed correctly!

Debbie Buck

It looks like mining equipment and setting. First, 'Coal Miner's Daughter' popped into my mind, but I think, despite the blouse and shorts in Encanto's 'We Don't Talk About Bruno', we can rule that out. LOL I'm also thinking 'Big, Bad John'.

Dylan Reubenking

My first guess when you said "Something BAD is coming" was Bad by Michael Jackson, but I'm inclined to think it is Big Bad John now lol

Mardette

I would be inclined to say it is a reading of Edgar Allen Poe or Odgen Nash. First guess if bad means horrid and second choice is if bad means funny.

Mardette

Please allow a third try as I am old, very old, and should be given age related consideration. So, I saw many mentioned a hammer. How about, "I hammer in the morning, I hammer in the noontime, I hammer in the evening all over this land. I hammer out warning, I hammer out danger, I hammer about the love between my brothers and sisters all over this land." Or similar words, hee hhee ha!

Diane Mo

Big Bad John fits into the bass range (and the theme). So that’d be my guess as well. Unless Geoff is arranging a bass version of Bad from Royal Deluxe, that’s be glorious.

Sarah Reach

I am definitely hoping for Big Bad John, definitely a favorite of my Mom and I. Of course, anything you put your creative process and vocal talent to is going to be amazing! Edit: My mom caught the public teaser before I did and texted me about it! Of course, the last line of the song is certainly a dead giveaway! We are both so excited to hear it (I hope you don't mind, I kind of consider her my plus one on this Patreon thing, although maybe at this point I should sign her up for her own account so she can watch when I am not physically there with her)

Shirley B Karr

Given the hint of "Bad" and the set and props, I'm going to also guess Big Bad John. A hit for Jimmy Dean in 1961, it seems old enough to appeal to you. And the tank top is a good choice. We love whatever you wear or sing (I'm still giggling over the blouse in Bruno) but given the viewing numbers for 16 Tons (7.7M) and Misty Mountains Cold (6M), the general public seems to like you best sleeveless. All your other solo videos have under 2M views. That will change soon as more people discover you.

Christina Dowdican

I remember that song! I used to sing it all the time when I was a little girl. 😊❤️😉❤️😍

Suzy Bailey

I've never heard of Big Bad John, whether it's that or something else I'm just excited to hear it. Also, that's a great photo! 😊💜

Christina Dowdican

Big Bad John Working on a chain gang High Ho from Snow White I’m Working on a Railroad All of these could apply & yes I am that old. Lol😊😀🤣❤️❤️

David Rayburn

Big Bad John! Been waiting for you to sing this. Will be Awesome!!!

Amy Cottrell

Ohhh....i like this list...I vote he do ALL of them...especially the original Disney stuff Snow White is my favorite movie ever 💞👩‍🦳👷‍♂️👨‍🏭👩‍🏭👷‍♂️👨‍🏭👩‍🏭👶 P.S. I love that that's the one you chose to clarify a bit more....🤣

Amy Cottrell

Of course...Always! Except maybe sometimes🤔 I have a list somewhere 🤣🤣🤣

Amy Cottrell

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good catch....Geoff and his Tanks Would make a good calendar....🤔😋🤣🤩🥰

Amy Cottrell

@TheMarauders Not just ANY Hammer A Sledge Hammer.... I'm 2nd "I've been working on the RailRoad" SUB BASS STYLE 🤔 that's seems incredibly ridiculous so quite possibly, could be it

Amy Cottrell

16 Tons with Everyone.....🤔 Oh...maybe we're getting closer now

Amy Cottrell

Yes yes YES!! I CONCUR 🤩 Are we closer yet? I like this game 💞🎶😋🥰🤣

Amy Cottrell

It's not?¿ Well that's cool....don't know that one anyway 😋

Amy Cottrell

Toddler Tossing?¿? 😳😋🥰 Love it....I think mine might be a little to big for me to toss these days though 🤷‍♀️ 🤣🤣🤣

Amy Cottrell

With Remi.... And friends..... P.S. Love your Name 💞

Amy Cottrell

Maybe even some SubHarmonics 🎶💓🎶💓🎶

Amy Cottrell

I would pay for that....might be needed soon 🤣😳🤔🤷‍♀️🤣

Amy Cottrell

Right?!?!? And it's black this time Must mean business 🕴

Kathy J Cox1

The Legend of John Henry's Hammer - Johnny Cash sang it....

Tracy Z

I think there is a consensus but I like surprise gifts. I can wait…some

C Wyatt Johnson

Someone has to say it -- Stairway to Heaven

Ruth Feiertag

I'm guessing "Big Bad John," too.

Dani

I'm working on a railroad...I was on that train too (duh) but the basement set is not quite fitting. Anyways the High Ho one cracked me up 😂 And Kathy would make a perfect SnowWhite.

Veronica Thunander

I don’t know if it ever got big. It did reach Sweden, though. The group was formed by Mark Knopfler, singer and guitarist in Dire Straits, but they only released one album.

Christine Stromberg

Big Bad John, Jimmy Dean, with the Geofftones appearing once again.

Veronica Thunander

Ooooh! I don't think it is that one (my vote goes to Big Bad John), but I'd really enjoy hearing him do Bad Moon Rising!

Judy Kay

Big, Bad John...can't wait to hear it, and if I'm wrong you still need to do it!!! 😊

Leah Hanson

The Chemical Worker's Song (and if I'm wrong, I'd love if you did that one, too 😅)

Lois McCray

I knew I should have said so earlier. So excited for it to be true. I was hooked on his cover of Sixteen Tons and have been begging for BIG BAD JOHN. I am old enough to remember the Jimmy Dean show back in the '60s.

Brittny

Proud to be a Geoff patron now

David Parr

Proud to contribute to such a talented family

Dawn Ours

Oh heck yeah Bad Moon Rising would be Interesting with Geoff' and any clones he'd like to bring along Hmm Maybe that one would be a good one for a collaboration? Like Avi? or HF ?
