Four Geoffs is always the best Geoff.

Susan Smith

Of course anything with any Geoff is going to be perfect. Lol

Emily Dion

The more Geoff the better :)

Angie Woollard

I like Big Bad Geoff. Up close and personal. Your facial expression is more fitting and bad ass. I like the spacing of the title block better on this one too. I was mighty tempted to vote for the other, though, if only because of the title. 😄

DnD Addict

One Big Bad Geoff has a lot of inpact on his own... For this one I would say the multiple Geoff's are a little messy

CookieVA

I like the close up better 🥰

Katie D

Lonesome Geoff for sure 😊

Huldra Draco

One big bad Geoff works better, it underlines the song being about one man, and that close up really catches your attention. The expression on your face also fits the song better

Caroline Larochelle

The Lonesome Geoff rules! Don't mess with a guy with a sledgehammer! He rules! :)

Helen A

I like the solo shot. It looks like you're trying to reason with somebody, but have the hammer close just in case that doesn't work.

Ilona Dever

I really like the buttoned shirt, but I like the lonesome Geoff best!

Kaleigh Henderson

I prefer the lonesome Geoff... he looks serious and badass. However I don't love either of the fonts. They're too modern and clean for an old-timey song about mining.

Melissa Glyn-Jones

Usually I'm all for a gaggle of Geoffs but there's just something about the lonesome Geoff that hits different. Plus the font and layout works better in my opinion.

Gretchen G

That's a tough call. 🤔 Both are great! I ended up voting for the one and only Geoff. 😁

David Williford

With a gaggle of Geoffs you would need to rename the caption to Big Bad Johns, so the solo shot is better IMO.

Debbie Buck

Either Geoff or Geoffs are really good, but please use the solid, filled font.

Hunter

I like both! But, gotta go number one on this one. Even though the titles were pretty chuckle worthy.

Tara Congo

This made me legitimately laugh out loud 😆

Åse M Bruun Lagnestål

The single Geoff with the solid font. It’s nicer (more badass), the words appear clearer, it’s more catchy to the eye. Maybe you could use an “older looking”, classic font to show the age of the song. But keep the placement of the words, “down the ladder”.

Scott Boa

Both are pretty good. However, I have to go with Lonesome Geoff. 👍

Åse M Bruun Lagnestål

In the gaggle photo the solo Geoff in the far right gets lost and the words don’t seem to fit in. 🤔

Jennifer DeBroux

I really like the shot of lonesome Geoff but I think the font should be something that looks a little old timier.

Gillian Drysdale

like the moody look of the lonesome Geoff and the writing is more aesthetically spaced in this one

Jennifer L. Cramp

I feel the solitary Geoff better serves the theme of the song. The other photo is still very good. Perhaps you could find another application for it.

Rebecca Hendricks

I was going to vote for the gaggle of Geoffs, but after reading the comments, I think I'm going to switch to Lonesome Geoff. The font could use some tweaking if it's not too late, but please keep the solid lettering.

Jay Fritz

I like the lonesome Geoff for the thumbnail--then we can be shocked and amazed by the fact there are actually four of you! You're such an amazing storyteller--have you thought of Almost Home by Craig Morgan or Old Dogs and Children and Watermelon Wine by Tom T Hall?

Shirley B Karr

Normally I'd be in favor of a gaggle of Geoffs, but given the singular nature of this song title, I think Lonesome Tank Top Geoff (especially with the Attitude Adjuster across his lap) is your money shot. Love the stacked text layout but I'd suggest a more vintage looking font like Copperplate Gothic or Rockwell.

Sarah Reach

Sing softly, and carry a big hammer

Jacquelyn Koh

I'd normally would like a gaggle of Geoffs, but the Lonesome Tank Top Geoff is SWEET and is also now on my desktop. Font wise, agree with above Copperplate Gothic or maybe Colonna MT if not so solid?

Sarah Reach

I love everything about the lonesome Geoff thumbnail. The stacked text is dynamic and eye catching, and the singular Geoff fits the song very well. Oh, and by the way, how exactly do you know what our neighbors are doing?

Tracy Z

I thought I’d be alone in this, but it seems I’m in the majority. I can’t pass up an intense close-up. . 😊

Rosie Boughen

While I prefer the term “Gaggle of Geoffs” more, the Lonesome Geoff picture is clearly the winner!

Paulene Thorne

I would normally go with 'a gaggle of Geoffs' using the rationale 'four Geoffs are better than one'. BUT..... 'Lonesome Geoff' looks like he's got attitude (and a sledgehammer to back it up), so 'Lonesome Geoff' is my vote.

Tine

Definitely lonesome Geoff! It's a really great image which sparks interest for sure

Suzy Bailey

Definitely the moody, lonesome Geoff, he looks ready for anything. (Is it just me, or would that not make a great calendar pic)? Love the stacked text but agree a more vintage font might be the way to go!

Jacklinka

I like Lonesome Geoff (basically, there was only one Big Bad John, not four of them) but I like more the font on the second thumbnail. I would take that font and fill with the text all the space to the left of Lonesome Geoff.

Shirley B Karr

"Sweet" is not the word that came to my mind, LOL! Look at those eyes, the set of his jaw. That is the face of a man who will hurt you to protect his loved ones. Trust me, I'm a writer -- I have spent hours trying to describe exactly that kind of expression when a hero is in Defender mode. :-)

Mandy Tabret

Definitely lonesome Geoff X unfortunately I have sensitive eyes and the light by Geoff on the right, was much too bright, sorry hunni 🤷😔💕

Cynthia Ross

I believe a “chorus of Castalucci” would be somewhat more fitting. 🤔 But that solo shot is super fine, so I’ve got to go with that.

Rachael Heidi

Both are great but I chose the lonesome one cause that is one fine photo and text placement haha

Tani (like Tony but with an 'AAAH')

The Lonesome Geoff immediately sets the mood; his expression is stern, the lightning is dark and the viewer gets 'pulled in' the atmosphere of the mine. However I choose for 'The Gaggle of Geoffs', because despite the overall mood and ending of the song, this isn't a *dark* song - it is a song about a man who bravely sacrificed himself to save his companions (though it ended tragically). In the 2nd picture you get a bit of symbolic meaning (in my opinion): Dark Geoff - white Geoff - Dark Geoff - Grey Geoff. It's like the reflection of the song, the white Geoff symbolising the brave action and the Grey Geoff the tragic, but heroic outcome.

Suzanne

Lonesome Geoff is a thirst trap xx

Ellen L Brownell

Sorry but the light behind “Geoff in the shirt” was just too glarey and annoying so I chose Lonesome Geoff. Also, it symbolizes just what John was, a loner.

Hugmany Foemen

Lonesome Geoff. Matches 16T and - oh brother, the vibes!!! Agree that the font could be a bit less stark, but the placement is better

Eileen Parkman

Y'know, the teaser version of Big Bad Geoff is mighty nice, too. More relaxed, less intense, but still representative - maybe even a little bit more "He didn't say much, kinda quiet and shy..."

Cat

A different condensed font though...

Cindy Barber

For this one Lonesome Geoff for sure. Not only does he look like he fits the song, I like the font going down the stairs. Also, the gaggle this time isn't quite as "catchy" for this thumbnail. More like they are just kind of sitting around, but lonesome Geoff is totally ready.

Lisa Pockat Bork

Love them both but I had to go with a closer shot of just one Geoff looking amazing.

Amanda W

But he's not big bad John; he's telling the story of BBJ.

Amanda W

Either way, I must save them both to my computer for closer inspection. Mhm, yep. Both fine examples of Geoffness. I agree with the others about the font.

Rachel Blackthorne

I prefer the solo Geoff but I prefer the font on the multiple Geoff...because I like to be contrary and obnoxious...lol...sorry Geoff

Arlen Ring

I like the multiple Geoffs, but in this song there was too much technique and not enough immersion into the feeling of the song. Arlen Ring

Eileen Parkman

Yes, but in my initial response to this topic, I named the "Lonesome Geoff" photo as being "Big, Bad Geoff" as a joke. I just carried it over to this additional response, and I was specifically referencing the teaser version of the solo Geoff picture posted on the 26th of February.

Maegodorel

I don't really have argument, but I 100% prefer the first one Maybe it fits better on YouTube?
