Angie Woollard

I can't wait, either! (Is this the song title, or a general description of the range you generally sing in...? 😉) ETA: I am back from the YouTubes, as I'd never heard this song before, and OMG I'M SO EXCITED TO HEAR WHAT YOU'VE DONE WITH IT!!

Debs Badger

Ooooooo! Now I'm excited! 💕

Stephanie Graham

Oooh, I am intrigued! Can’t wait to hear it!

Rosie Boughen

Woahhhhhhhh. Never heard the song before, but I just looked it up, and YESSS!

Kimberly Friend

I have a feeling I know what this is and I'm beyond excited!

Jay

I'll see your excitement and raise you a giddiness or two 😝

Huldra Draco

Ooo that's quite the funky Elvis song!! Can't wait to see what you've done with it!!

Tine

Oooohh very cool graphic. I am super excited😍😍 After listening to the track, I cannot WAIT to hear what you have done with this one; It is so different from what we have heard from you so far. Thank you for always trying out new things and going beyond. So wonderful.

Jessie

Can’t wait to hear this!

Patricia Schuman

Super excited to hear what you'll do with this one!

Janet Towles

Never heard it, but by the title alone it should be perfect for you! LOL. Off to look it up!

Gretchen G

I can't wait for us all to hear this one too! 😃

Annie A.

WHOA!!! 👀

Katie D

Interesting! Can't wait to hear it! 😁💕

Tara Congo

Oh fun!! Looking forward to it! 😁

Jennifer L. Cramp

I just listened to the Elvis version and I'm very excited to hear it get the Geoff treatment! 😁💜

Lourdes Sanz

can´t wait to hear it, either!!

MEGAN FEAR

Woohoo so excited!!!

Sarah Reach

I also liked your comment, then went to listen to the song for the first time. A: HOW HAVE WE NEVER HEARD THIS SONG BEFORE?!?!?! B: The answer to your original question is... YES 🤣

Skywalker

We can‘t wait either! 😍

Debbie Goodling

This is the perfect song! This is going to be so fun!

Shirley B Karr

Looked up the title, listened to Elvis (and his bass backup singer), and looked up the lyrics. Oh. My. Gosh. Geoff, are you ... are you recording a *gasp* LOVE song? *swoons* *revives* *Muppet flail* Can't wait! Can picture Kathy in the video, smiling seductively at you, crooking her finger...

Melisendre

If I'm right with the song it will great! I love those hints.

Kaleigh Henderson

So, just to recap... Elvis's swagger + Geoff's voice + whatever in the suggestive heck those lyrics are... we're not going to survive this one, are we? Nope. Didn't think so.

Ellen L Brownell

Can’t wait to hear your spin on this one! I know it’s gonna be great.

Jay

I don't know the song and don't want to compare notes once it's out but you guys are not helping with the anticipation one tiny teensy weensy bit 🤣

Barbara Binney

We'all can't wait for ya'll to let us hear this one! So excited. Love me some Elvis!

Barbara Binney

There will be much panting, drooling, and swooning over this one, I'm sure.

Kelley ONeal

Can't wait! You can't screw up a song.

Susan Zoe Bella

I don't know the song. I'll go check it out. Either way I'm about to lol

Debbie Goodling

Don’t know if my heart will survive this one! Oh well, I’ll die happy!

Susan Zoe Bella

Okay, Geoff, I listened to the Elvis version. TBH. I am and never have been a fan of Elvis so you're gonna have to knock this outta the park to impress me. I hope you put that sultry spin on and do that higher octave thing to make me like this song, cuz right now, the Elvis Version does nothing for me. I'm not being mean, just honest. So that way if I end up liking (or loving) your version, then you've done something truly amazing because I'm not into his stuff. Go for it!!!

candi lunsford

Sing it sister! LOL This is going to be awesome.

Shirley B Karr

We could be totally off-track about this being an Elvis cover. There's a *huge* catalogue of music out there, and Geoff has already demonstrated an interest in relatively obscure tunes, like Saddle Up. But he did arrange Can't Help Falling in Love for VP two years ago, so maybe he is going back to the King.

Kaleigh Henderson

Nope, the one and only hint he gave us last webchat was that it was an Elvis song. Plus, come on, have you listened to it? There aren't a lot of songs that I think were written specifically for Geoff to cover. Monster Mash is one, and this is another.

Debs Badger

And if you end up not liking it, it happens. It's not a requirement to like everything. As a matter of fact, Geoff did not make me like Big Bad John. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Amy

Can't wait to hear this

Shirley B Karr

I may have just swooned again. I didn't know about the hint in the web chat. Agreed, Way Down seems perfect for Geoff's voice. Couldn't recall having heard it before but I've already listened to it twice today. Monster Mash was the first time I ever heard Geoff. Been hooked since "the zombies were having ... fun." Took less than 90 seconds. YouTube took me to Headless Horseman, then Oogie Boogie's Song. I joined Patreon a couple months later.

Judy Wilde

I know Geoff tends toward older songs, but if that’s the title, I kinda hope it’s the one from Hadestown.

Helen A

Purchasing earthquake insurance in preparation!

María Gabriela

Thank you for brightening my day with amazing news 🖤

Susan Zoe Bella

Thank you! :) I do love most of his covers. Ain't No Sunshine and Rising Sun make me melt. I have them on my PL back to back to help me sleep. I have Meniere's Disease so his voice is very soothing to my ears :)

Cindy Barber

I'm intrigued by what you do with this one.

Debs Badger

He did indicate we should "potentially look for one (an Elvis cover) soon" in last month's chat, so hence why people are thinking that. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Snappy

I've never heard this song before but I can't wait to hear what you did with it 😁

Suzy Bailey

I've also never been a fan of Elvis, however this is probably one of only two of his songs I quite like. So it'll be very interesting to see what magic Geoff can sprinkle on it that might make me love it! 🤞 I'll be eagerly awaiting those dulcet tones! 😊

Shannon D

Also can't wait, I'm sure it will be wonderful!

Dani

What you expect from a day with 25ish °C and 30°C to come: Buying extra ice cream and enjoying your garden (and all the neverending work there). What you get when you check Patreon just for the funsies: Mr. Vocalbendyacrobat-or teasing a (for me at least) very catchy and fun song from (potentally) Mr. Elvis Presley and thinking of all the crazy cool things he could do with it until the brain overheats and melts and you think of putting your head into the freezer so you actually survive and can hear the finished song. Mmmh whatcha say that you only meant well? Well of course you did.... (insert the office stay calm meme) No I am not excited AT all.... btw can you actually remove/brainmelt dandelion with overheatwaves?

Jennifer L. Cramp

I just looked up the lyrics - yeah, there's gonna be ladies swooning all over the place.

Ryn P

I've also thought that Geoff would do really good covers of Hadestown songs!

Terry Ford

JD Sumner would approve.

Amanda Hovendon

That was one of my questions that he answered in his last webchat. I asked " Would you consider doing an Elvis song?" You're welcome lol

Kelley ONeal

Definitely going to be epic with Geoff's insane (in the best way) low notes. Geoff will likely make JD Sumner sound like high tenor.

Kelley ONeal

And health insurance to be extra safe. Especially the ladies.

Amanda Hovendon

I love Elvis Presley. One of my hobbies is collecting Elvis merch, but I also love watching his movies. I could watch them all day❤️❤️❤️

Kelley ONeal

Look up the lyrics to "Way Down". Holy moly 😛. This may end us all. Wondering if we get the Geofftet again?

Dani

Hey hey hey I was totally talking about the vocal possibilities 🤦‍♀️ But well......🤣Here we are with the lyrics....And I thought: Man I want to hear Bad Things from Jace Everett because I love the song, but maybe that is not so family friendly, 🤣 Ha! We are clearly not a family show 😜 And I don't think that he will do the song "alone" but I don't know... four Geoffs staring at you singing that song... ☠

Dani

Oh no sorry I was referiring to one Geoff alone or the Geofftet. I don't think there will be just one Geoff and I don't know if I find that kind of terrifying....or grear.😂 And I have to look up that song you mentioned.

Kelley ONeal

Ok I get now what you mean by alone. My bad. As far as the "Way Down" song, I'm sure Geoff will work his arranging/vocal/video magic on this. No one else on YouTube has covered this particular Elvis song. Hopefully Geoff chat this weekend. Have a great rest of your week.

Cynthia Ross

I’m not a fan of Elvis specificity, but he had a lot of fantastic songs. Way Down is one of them. The anticipation is killing me; I feel like a little kid the day before Christmas.

Cynthia Ross

In a way, it’d be easier if he was less consistent about nailing it every dang time. Like, if we only had 50/50 odds of it being better, I could chill. But he keeps hitting these home runs and making a perfect classic more perfecter….and I already love this song…so….I’ll be checking here like every half hour until it appears.

Sherry Thomas

I am sooo excited!!! I want it now!!
