Definitely Ghosts with Text and Fire Sky. 1) The Goeffs by themselves are intriguing, could trigger a click (geez, honestly didn't mean to pun, but I can't think of another word to use instead of trigger), but it's losing the chance to draw in people who might waver over it but wouldn't click if they didn't know which song is being performed. 2) Love the extra contrast that the bit of fire sky gives, think it gives enough 'pop' on a small thumbnail to generate more clips with it than without, 3) People who know the song but not you (I GUESS there are some people like that out there) might be intrigued enough to click on a new, spooky version and it's an eye-catching title design. I take the inclusion of the title as a bonus, not a deterrent. 4) Again, I think that bit of extra color helps it stand out among a sea of thumbnails, so the one with the fire sky is better. As always, I think there are also some valid suggestions being made about the font/coloring of the title. But also, YES, we moan for much merch from this spectacular work!

I like 2 and 3 best. I think that the fire in the sky is a really good contrast to the more limited color palette of the Ghost Riders. It's a good callback to the song (snorting fire in the sky), and it gives a strong visual interest to the image. I like the text so that people know right away what the song is and won't be wondering what else it could be (which could detract from views/clicks.)

Definitely fiery sky, but maybe just a teensy bit more colour in the right side sky? Not in-your-face bright. A bit of smoke, perhaps?

I like the 3rd one, but I feel like the text needs a little more dropped shadow. It's hard to see when it's small. Just enough to add contrast. I'd also be interested in seeing the background with lightning, instead of fire.

Whichever pic you use, I think you should try to remove the shadow on the right side of each Geoff's face.

Love them all as they highlight all of the unique details in each of the riders. I wouldn’t want to meet any of these guys in a dark alley but the I gotta say the one with no beard is an especially scary looking dude 🫣

Text and fiery sky for the win! Sure you're not planning to moonlight as a graphic artist? The font is fabulous for this project. I'd move it down a hair, though, so as not to crowd the ghosts. There are scientific reasons why most of us have a visceral response to the blue in the ghosts and orange fire in the sky. Has to do with the color wheel and complementary colors, the moody and ominous blue vs the explosion. And the two colors make each other pop. Draws eyeballs to it. Which will lead to more clicks and more views. Ever notice how many movie posters and book covers use blue and orange? The shiny new Stetson, while partially blue, is not ominous but holy cow the eerie blue eyes and blue lighting are. After a few *cough* viewings I've decided the shoulder-holster ghost is the creepiest because of the way he moves. The slow, stiff turn of his head to look at the others is shudder-inducing. Bravo!
