See.... it all worked out in the end. Always does. I knew it all along. Never had a doubt. 😉

Geoff, my dear, I love how dedicated you are to your art, but you do worry me sometimes. And this is coming from a perfectionist... The end product was lovely! Thanks for the BTS!

Sophie Plourde

You shouldn't have a doubt😄 It always turns out amazing!

Jay

dang I'll need to watch this when I get home from work, got meetings until the end of shift that I can't get out of 😜, evil job getting in the way 😂

Amanda Hovendon

Everything that you do turns to gold. Why doubt yourself? 😁❤️

Deb Dodson

Much respect to all - Rick, Kathy, Eli, and Geoff, Jeff, Jeoph, Goff, and Daryl.

Sabine W

A wild Layne appears in his natural habitat to admire a beard :D So much fun, as always, and I absolutely love that the name tags in Way Down led us to here, where all the background Geoffs are referred to by their own name now 😂 I am so here for the ghost make up, Rick is so amazing! My question though: did you put in the contacts yourself, or did someone help you again?

Jordi S

Kathy, you totally outdid yourself on this! Such a fantastic BTS!

Mia

The hours and effort produced a spectacular result. After Geoff, Jeoph is my favourite. This is a phenomenal creation, both musically and visually. Something you can be extremely proud of.

Shannon D

Thank you Kathy! Glad you found someone as talented as Daryl to join the group, he was a great fit 😉

DEAN G PEARSON

It was worth it and us fans truly appreciate all the effort you put into your videos!!

Jordi S

You guys are going to need to make a small render farm for yourselves to make all the effects easier to manipulate.

MEGAN FEAR

I did wonder what the fifth Geoff was called. Daryl never crossed my mind, but he is brill!

Debbie Buck

This was great! A big thank you to Geoff and all his fellow characters (I am a little partial to Daryl!) as well as to all the hard work by Kathy, Rick, Eli, and, of course, Geoff!

Barbara Binney

So much work to make these amazing videos, and we appreciate every second of it. Thank you to everyone who has a hand in making this amazing content month after month. And especially, Thank you to Kathy for the amazing BTS stuff. Did I mention I think you guys are amazing? No? Well, I'll say it now. You guys are AMAZING! P.S. Daryl gave me serious Rob Lundquist vibes when I first saw the video.

Gillian Drysdale

loved it all the Geoffs plus Daryl! and William and Doris having fun. Also how come you look so good in glasses? unfair to us normal humans! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Angie Woollard

OMG Geoff...what an ordeal. That sounded super frustrating. To have a vision, and then have it be so...so....persnickety to execute. I truly applaud your steadfastness in plowing through. In awe, as always. ("Daryl" made me literally laugh out loud, though...)

Ann Durham

Well, that was enough to make me go move up a tier on my Patreon - so much work!

Dawn Ours

Not sure how much weight my word has, however, that was fantastic! never doubt your work ethic. You always learn what you need to for the project at hand. You also have very skilled friends. All of that makes you unstoppable.

Patricia Schuman

Thank you once again for not only creating an outstanding video but showing us some of both the fun and the hard work that went into creating it. The extended VoicePlay family is so madly talented. Know that your patrons are thinking about you and please do WHATEVER is necessary to keep yourself and your family safe as Ian bears down.

Hunter

As usual, you always pulled through. Don't know how, but, you did it. Amazing BTS. I had been awaiting that ghostly make up. Rick did a superb job! It was a team effort and the result shows for all the hard work!

Gretchen G

Wow, I really admire your hard work and dedication. The finished product is wonderful, obviously. You know the costumes and makeup were good if Layne was visibly impressed. 😁 Yay for Eli! Good to meet ya there, Daryl! And thank you to Kathy as always! Also, I like your glasses, Geoff. And I hope the worst of the hurricane misses you guys!

María Gabriela

It's insane how much work you put in your videos. Specially the editing part. It seems like a nightmare. All the cowboys looked amazing! And thanks to everyone involved, yall made Geoff glow in this one! 😄

Valorie Rose Lyons

Thank you so much! It’s great fun to see the people who help make the magic! 💜

Runa Reinert

oh dear, well, but when you sent that horse sound 2 years ago, I truly hoped it was Ghost Riders in the Sky. So glad you finally recorded it.

Mikki Fullerton

Everybody go up your Patreon support so Geoff can buy more computers to render with....;)

Susan Zoe Bella

🎵🎵🎼Great video! I love seeing all the behind the scenes stuff. This reignited my passion to pursue graphic design. I've wanted to be an artist all my life. My mom, sister and both daughters got the art gene. They can paint and sketch amazing works. I can't do any of that. I can only write books. In 2009 I tried to do cover art but gave up too quickly. Last year I picked it up again on an amateur level. I want to go pro! I look at all that equipment you work with and tell myself, I can learn this. I'm kinda old (and really boring) but my brain is 29. I'm going to tackle my ambition of becoming a professional artist. I have the eye for it, just could never get what's in my brain to come out of a paint brush. Graphic design is a whole new game. Anyway, this was very fun to watch! Thank you for sharing. I hope you're all safe down there during the storm. 💜

Janet Wright

Amazing BTS as usual. But this one was especially interesting with the “behind the BTS”. Usually the BTS is the filming (and makeup -Rick is a genius!) and that is always really interesting and frequently amusing. But the work that goes into it after the filming is a huge and largely unknown part of the process. Because you all do it all yourselves, it isn’t enough to be the artist. You also have to be the computer geek and that work looks pretty technical. My nephew works in animation and he has talked about leaving it to render overnight. Then to come back in the morning and be ready to tear his hair out because one little tiny thing went wrong and messed up the entire process. I don’t know a lot more than that except hearing him complain about that, but it’s just one more level of appreciation that we all should have for how hard you work to give us such an incredible gift each time. You were probably ready to just give it up at times. Between the frustrations of filming and the home repairs and the family gatherings it must’ve been overwhelming. But from our point of view, it was worth every bit of frustration and time. Once again you’ve created a gem.

Suzy Bailey

Wow, if it is at all possible to appreciate more everything you and Kathy do to bring us your wonderful videos, these BTS's would be it. It is hugely interesting and entertaining to see some of your creative process and how much is involved before we get to see and love the final product. Um... Daryl. really? I'm both laughing and a wee bit disappointed at the same time! Thank you Geoff and Kathy for everything you do and for making my days so much brighter and happier! 🤩💜

Glynda

Anyone else getting Sam Elliot vibes from the Jeoff character?? LOL

Kenneth Finnegan

When I see all the hard work and overcoming so many issues that presented themselves to this process, it makes me respect you even more than I already do! All I can say is thank you for giving us all this content. Honestly, I’m in awe of you as appreciate you even more now. Thank you Geoff for not giving up on this. Fantastic video!!!!!

Novi Hallberg

Daryl?? What?🤯 Where did his name come from?😅 As always, I appretiate how much work you all put in, and the outcome is spectacular. 🤠 I love your voice, the high's and low's always impress, but the between carries the song's feelings right into my soul and that needs to be praised more 🍂🧡🍂

Simone

Thank you very much for this very entertaining and enlightening BTS. It looks stressful and we only see a glimpse of what it took to produce the video. How did you come up with the name for Daryl? I would have suspected him to be named something different xD

Tara Congo

"Hairy Gibb" 😂 Thank you for pushing through the (many, many) obstacles for this one to create something awesome. We appreciate you and Kathy so much!

Ilona Dever

I was so glad to meet Daryl! Now you can add two MORE singers because you can have Larry and his other brother Daryl as well. Great job as always!!

Alison L

Thanks so much for all your efforts in bringing this to us, you and your team work so hard and it's appreciated. This was fantastic. Has a feel of the music in the westerns my Nana watched in the late 1970s/early 1980s.

Barbara Binney

This is my brother, Daryl, and this is my other brother, Daryl. 😂

Angie Woollard

Immediately what popped into my head!

Badger77722

I love getting to see the BTS stuff! I'm a geek at heart, so finding out about all of the ins and outs of how something as "simple" as this is done makes me happy. And finding out about the BTS bts stuff makes me appreciate all of the hard work it takes for Geoff and everyone else to make these gems to share with us. Hats off to everyone involved!

Jill Weimer Koeninger 🐱

YeeHaw!! You put your own unique spin on the song while keeping its integrity. All you're hard work has more than paid off.

Tigsa

Rendering time is such a bear. Love the five character names and the production. Also really like the addition of Kathy's interview to the BTS. Thanks to the whole team, and stay safe!

Jacky Friedman

Thank you for all your hard work you guys. The end result is spectacular. Doris and William are as adorable as all heck. As usual 😽 Love the looks of all the guys. My favorite is Jeff. Or is it Jeoph? Maybe Goff? Or is it Daryl? Geoff? Yes to all 5. And I had the costuming of each guy in the correct order in my head. Love all of you at Voiceplay, Pattycake, Rick (fantastic job as always), Kathy. And of course... Doris and William. "Props" to both of you 😽. You two officially became Voiceplay members when you did the voice overs on the Minis logo. Great jobs on that.

Christine Stromberg

So much work. You guys really deserve all the praise we can give you. By the way, I don't know where Daryl came from because I have now heard the followingL Goff, Joff, Jeoff, and Gheeoff, in place of Geoff. It's incredible.

Patricia Schuman

I think you need to keep every piece of costuming and props, etc. (hope you didn't throw away the clone 'cheat sheat'), and organize a GRiTS auction to raise the money you need to either upgrade or outsource the rendering.

Amanda Hovendon

Your Jimmy Fallon/Barry Gibb Saturday Night Live thingy was spot on LOL

Mikki Fullerton

First thing that popped into my head, also!

Raven Winters

Absolutely loved the video and the bts. Hope you are all safe from the weather heading your way.

Tracie Schlaak

Thanks for sharing. What happened to your other brother Daryl?

Arlene Jacobs

Thanks for showing us the process! And for the insight into how the green screen works. Hopefully Ian stays away from you guys!!

Cynthia Ross

Ok. Now you have to find an excuse to get Layne in a beard like that. 😄

Jay Fritz

This is amazing, Geoff. I can't imagine all the stress and frustration, but the finished work is beyond great. Thanks so much for all you do!!

Åse M Bruun Lagnestål

Oh, that was a hard one. So thankful you kept going because the video is FANTASTIC! 👌😍

Veronika Troll

So much hard work! Thank you for showing us, always appreciated :)

Tine

This was super interesting to see. Thank you both so much for this! That processing is a pain in the *** for sure.. Glad that we didn't hear you destroyed something in the process, that must have been endlessly frustrating to wait around to then see the result is not what you wanted it to be. You can be proud of your final result, Geoff! Kathy, I just love all the things you do, but I really liked your Pinky & The Brain reference :D Thank you as always for showing us these glimpses behind the scenes, truly some of my favorite perks about this whole thing, to get to see how it is made. I loved seeing the conceptualization of the costumes, and just overall the amount of work and dedication you all put into it. I also really hope your bathroom is now remodeled, finished and that you are pleased with the final result, and if not, that it is there soon. Well wishes for your father Geoff and a quick and good recovery from his surgery, yet again, hopefully without complications afterwards. Thank you both, so so very much; I am very grateful.

Carol Franklin

Firstly please know we appreciate all your hard work & the end result is incredible. As the owner of a Jeoph t shirt I’m glad he turned out to be the cool one lol. Those blue contacts scare the c out of me btw.

Del Rhea Watson

Randomly: apparently I need to up my Patreon tier, because this BTS was gold!! I would also pay excellent money for an autographed picture at 6:02. That raised eyebrow gave me chills, and he’s not even my favorite Geoff! 😆 May I also say that any Pinky and the Brain reference is highly appreciated by this particular Patreon, thank you, Kathy!! Finally, the insight into the sheer tedium of the artistic process is incredibly illuminating. It highlights the brilliance of the finished product in an amazing way. Kudos to all who helped make this a favorite of mine. ❤️❤️

Eric

Okay, this was amazing, so much fun! Thank you so much for this and your hard work, too! (and I do hope we're going to see Daryl again! :D )

Tara Congo

Hope you and your loved ones stay safe with Hurricane Ian moving in!!

Caroline Larochelle

Holy cow! That was a huge amount of work for a ghost song! I'm really impressed. I learned a lot of things here. Thank you for your generosity towards us.

Caroline Larochelle

We all noticed that Geoff was wearing blue contact lenses while he was shooting this video. So, how many precious minutes have passed before putting on those evil coloured contact lenses correctly in each eye? :)

Girl On Fire

Even with the technical difficulties, I’m sure we’re all very happy that this video turned out at all, let alone as well as it did. 🙏Everyone should cut themselves some slack. Also, Geoff gets a pass for doing such a hilarious Barry Gibb (specifically SNLs Barry Gibb Talk Show) impression. 🤣 BRAVO to all 👏👏👏

Brontesaurus Rex

Glasses! 💜 No I don't know why that makes me squee.

Anne

Congratulations!

Huldra Draco

Geoff, Kathy and William, please stay safe in the coming storm, fingers crossed it passes by without any damage to your loved ones or your property. ❤🤞 Also, please give a sign of life after the storm passes by, just a little tweet or something, so we know you all are safe and sound. We're all really worried and hoping for the best ❤

Sabine W

Yaaay, success! 🥳🎉

Liz Munro

Goff reminded me of Loveless from that Will Smith movie Wild Wild West

MILADA VRABKLíKOVÁ

Wow, so much hard work of talented people !!! Perfect, I am glad to see it, to see also Katy !!! Have a nice time !!!!

Jacklinka

Thank you for sharing all the odds and pleasures, Kathy! This is wonderful, it gives the feeling you take part in the whole hard process and I wish I could really help.

Jacky Friedman

And the super high singing effortlessly. WOW!!! Pretty dang good for a bass/baritone!!

SunnyOutlook

I look forward to the behinds the scene as much as the music video. Having been involved in some small projects, I know how much work and worry goes into a creative process. The care and attention to the makeup and costumes adds so much and this was on a whole other level. Even though we know who all the characters are played by, I get the impression that they are their own unique person and personality. By the way, Daryl's look appeared more beefed up than the others for some reason. LOL! Jeoph is my favorite, second only to Geoff, of course. Thank you so much for sharing and including us in the polls and special premiers, etc. It helps me feel like I am a part of something amazing even though it is in such a very tiny way. Keep the creativity going! Thank you!

Amanda Hovendon

🎶Talkin it up! On the Barry Gibb TALK SHOW!🎶 Had me cracking up 😂 😂 😂

Susan Zoe Bella

Watched it again without sound. Amazing detail. I suspect you enjoy the theatrical aspect very much! It's very cool and you guys must be really intelligent to do all this and Master all that equipment. Thank you for sharing the BTS, nice to see the real side, too. 💜💙💜

Shirley B Karr

Wow. As difficult as I thought this one was to pull off, it was even harder. Thank you for not giving up on it. The end result is fabulous -- to watch and to listen. Now we know what happened to Jeff for eating popcorn out of the dustpan, and to Jeoph for licking the toilet brush. Consequences, man. 🤣🤣 Oh, and that Goff borrowed Geoff’s glasses.

Els Peeters (=jopperke)

This one made me giggle, snort, aaaww, spit my coffee and most of all tip my hat to you! This was truely Sisyphus labor, but what a result!!!! To be able to keep going, keep striving for that quality, all amidst a bathroom remodelling, slooooooow computers, family-business and Voiceplay stuff (not even mentioning cat-related 'stuff'): wow, just wow!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Sandra JB

I am so happy to be able to see the BTS videos now. It is amazing to see what goes into your finished videos and how much time and work is required. Thank you so much Geoff and everyone else who took part to make it a reality. Please give us a note in the aftermath of that terrible hurricane that you, Kathy, and William are safe.....as well as your Voiceplay members.

Anna L

Lol, Layne having beard envy. XD
