Silje Hoel Sakshaug

Can you please please please do a low bass singer cover of Your Man by Josh Turner? That would be so amazing🫂🫂

Amanda Hovendon

How is the Sound of Silence coming along? And do you have any plans for Thanksgiving?

Angie Woollard

*reschedules music theory nerd meeting* See you Saturday, Geoff!

Justin Bush

Two quick questions; first, per the conversation in your last web chat, would you ever consider releasing a vinyl as some special thing? I don’t even collect vinyl but I’d make an exception for one of yours! Second, how do you feel about your fans saying they’d like to hear you sing with other artists? Do you enjoy seeing their ideas of dream duets? Thanks for your time!

Tracie Schlaak

How do you handle all the fame you are getting?

Rachel Blackthorne

If you could have a meal with any person, living or dead, who would it be and what would you want to have to eat? (Thank you for considering this question, Mr Castellucci, I appreciate your time...)

Jacky Friedman

Awesome. Can't wait for the replay 😁

Hunter

Happy Thanksgiving Geoff! I’m currently sick with a head cold. Any words of encouragement? By the way, how’s your stomach?

Eileen Parkman

Hi -- sadly, unless your chat time is after 5PM EST, I won't be able to attend. I'm curious as to your process for deciding on the visuals for a video. Do you often think of characterization or story first? For example, in GRitS, when you first considered how to present the song in video, did you come up with the progression of the presentation of the storyline of the song first, or did you envision Jeff, Jeoph, Goff, and Daryl first, then decide how they would illustrate the story?

Katie D

See you then! 😊

Dawn Ours

On the topic of fandom fantasy collaboration any way you are up for another wish? Like ohh show off the range of the 4 Best Basses Tim Foust some fella named Geoff Avi Kaplan and I guess you can pick the 4th I'm clearly partial to HF Chance but Tommy is great. Chuckles I know can't leave me with the option to Chime in. LoL hope to see you Saturday!

Gretchen G

So . . . WHY did you decide to eat the spicy triangle of doom? Judging by the video, I'm assuming you weren't expecting it to be as intense as it was. So what were you expecting, going into it? (Also, how long did your tongue stay blue?)

James M.

Would love to hear an arrangement from you of “Stranger on the Shore”!

Stephanie Graham

Hi Geoff! I hope you are feeling better. My question is when you are putting together an arrangement for your solo work, do you get video ideas during the arrangement process, or do you focus on the arrangement first until it’s finished, and then focus on the video ideas? Does Kathy give you suggestions once she has heard pieces of the song? Thank you for all you do! 😊

Alisha Watson

In the past few chats I've noticed you have a blue light near your door. Is it just for aesthetic reasons or does that light have a purpose, such as letting Kathy know you're recording?

Shirley B Karr

Having used a red light to let people know not to open the dark room door while I'm printing or developing film, I've wondered the same thing. Seems like it would be more effective to have the light on the hall side, though, if that's what it's for.

Alisha Watson

I figured it's bright enough to potentially be seen through the crack of the door, but who knows.

doug muchow

I would like to say that you are one of the most talented vocalists I have ever heard, and was wondering if you have been approached by any of the major recording agencies? You are are certainly worthy!

Shirley B Karr

Apparently this month we're burning up with curiosity about your creative process. I'm wondering at what point do you usually cast the clones? When you're recording the background vocals, do you know which track will be represented by which clone? Or is the casting and characterization something you decide on closer to filming time? After Sunday's stunt, I hope your stomach fully recovers in time for you to enjoy Thanksgiving.

Randiskye

Apparently he stays grounded by cleaning up Clayton's *ahem* gifts. That will keep things in perspective for anyone.

Sarah Borzelli

Hey I'm glad to be a new Patron of your greatness! Besides of your obvious singing and producing talent, which blew me away, as a dancer and choreographer I see that you have a very good connection to your body language - so I would very much like seeing you dancing more - can we all agree on that? I heard you mention that the dancing isn't much your thing - but that might be because you have to learn other peoples moves instead of just doing what your feelings are telling your body to do (which with some people it happens naturally) - that being guided and shaped by a choreographer...too sad I live in Switzerland but I'm sure there are plenty of such choreographers at your place

Tine

See you then!

Judy Wilde

Sorry, but Kathy did not sing in that video. I think it’s a little disrespectful to keep asking her to sing.

Alyssa Daniels

Do you ever listen to other bass singer covers for fun? Have you listened to anything by The Bass Gang? I know all four of those guys see you as a role model and I’m curious to hear your thoughts on them and their arrangements. Especially since they have to mix four different vocal timbres whereas you are only mixing your own voice.

Angie Woollard

…or there’s a light on both sides of the door…

Mimi Nator

Will we ever see a Geoff and Tim Foust collaboration? THAT would be epic! 😁👍

Chris Gregory

Do you have any tips to succeed growl technique ?

Ashley Evers

Your costuming is always excellent, and I've been trying to figure out whether it's you or Kathy who is more responsible for that element. Or is it too collaborative to tell? Which of you decided that you would never fully button up a shirt again? It seems like as your hair got longer, your necklines got plunge-ier :)

Christine Stromberg

We're well used to the various ways people pronounce Geoff but recently I've been hearing some mangled attempts at Castellucci, including Castelli and Calousti. I usually try to help.

Jacky Friedman

Congratulations on your 1.3M for Ghost Riders In The Sky. Yo did a fantastic job on that one. And it's apparent everyone else agrees. Can hardly wait till this months video. Love you 😘💝

Jacky Friedman

💯% behind and agree with Shirley on the question and concern.

Jacky Friedman

Castalucy. I do too. The reactors appreciate it. One time I was watching a reactor and they said Eli's name wrong (as usual). A person made corrections in the comments. Another chimed in and scolded the person for correcting his name saying they were being rude. Needless to say myself and quite a few other people scolded that person for scolding them. Geoff. That's a good question to answer. How do you feel about people correcting reactors for mispronouncing your name? That's a question I'd like to ask in the Voiceplay chat as well.

Amanda Hovendon

I must know. What are your thoughts on Henry Cavill leaving The Witcher?

TheMarauders

Finally someone asked the question 😂🤦

Find

All I can say is thank you. I’ll be a patron for a year in December now. Thank you for doing all that you do. I’m glad that I’m able to support you.

Cynthia Ross

Thank you! I’ve been arguing his “I’m not a good dancer” opinion for a few years now.

Sarah Borzelli

oh I see! no no he is! people tend to have a certain opinion about what dance is and most of the choreographers tend to be so proud of their moves so they just impose those on the dancers instead of shaping what the dancers offer.with professionally trained dancers that works well but with non-dancers you better tickle out someones feelings to manifest in their body soo good Cynthia continue arguing-we'll have to convince him!

Sarah Borzelli

Question: Have you ever experienced a weird situation with a fan? Or did Kathy? (My husband is an artist/painter and he gets recognized all the time - so often "fans" will approach him and "fangirl" and won't stop talking - so I just stand there and feel superfluous)

Gillian Drysdale

if you could go back and give some advice to your younger and less boring self (your words not mine!) what would be that advice?

Larry Haynes

Richard Sterban recorded a song with the Oak Ridge Boys many years ago called Down Deep Inside, really cool tune for a bass. Would be great if re-imagined for this decade

Brontesaurus Rex

Recycling my last question--green screen was clearly a steep learning curve. How did it compare to the first time you edited the clones together in the usual way?

Mona Iren Hugaas

Hi, Geoff, I hope you're feeling better after the 'the chip of Doom'. Going back through the podcasts of VP, hearing that you played DnD and was the storyteller, the DM, I was courious ; do you tell or make up stories to your lovely son at bedtime? Best wishes to your family and VP and friends. Love from Mona from Norway. Oh, and 'Old man River' or 'Kisses sweeter then wine' are good songs to cover, right? 😁

Ilona Dever

Kisses Sweeter Than Wine, yes!!

Amanda Hovendon

Fortunately I will be able to make this one after all. I had to call out of work cause I’m feeling under the weather. I think I’m experiencing some symptoms after I got the updated Covid booster vaccine.

Amanda W

I wish I could be there, but I promised myself I would keep my expenses done while I'm out of work. 😥 I'd also like to know how you're doing after that horrid chip.

Lori Templeman

I don't think those lyrics aged well...
