Sarah Borzelli

I like Thorin because he sees fire 😍!

Tine

Definitely Thorin close. Seems to engage more with people who may not know you, and entice fans of the movies more..

Amy Kutnerian

Regardless of which one is picked, I think the white text loos better than the yellow

Maria Stoycheva

I voted for the wide shot and I really like it but something about the text bothers me. The yellow is slightly off (it is very difficult to find a good colour for text on dark background, I know!) and the F in Fire is smaller than the S in See somehow? I am sure someone with more graphic design skills will suggest the perfect improvement ^^

Maria Stoycheva

I like Thorin a lot, but isn't he just a tiny bit blurred?

Sarah Borzelli

we're not supposed to try to think what other people who may not know him might think if they just scroll by without knowing of his existance😉🧐🤣...no all good, Tine we will try to do better this time haha

Maria Stoycheva

also, is it just me, or does anyone else also read the "You know the routine by now. Surprise me!" in Geoff's voice in their head? XD

MtheHell (Marcel)

For me it's Thorin, because the shot corresponds with the single person "I see fire" and keeps the other dwarfes hidden from non-knowing viewers.

Jason Cranford

Def the wide! See them all in all their glory!

Angie Woollard

Thorin close. Folks like to see your face.

Tine

Despite that, to me it is still the most interesting shot for a thumbnail😊

Tine

Hahahah🤣 that's how I always approach it. Try to not be too biased (which is impossible)🤣

FerretMom

WIDE SHOT, I CHOOSE YOU heh, get it? Like pokemon? OK anyway 🤣💜

Greta Petersen

Love the wide shot and it will appeal to those who have seen mysty mountains. The yellow bothers me as well a bit. What would be awesome if somehow there was some flames going from the fire to the letters and the letters would go gradient from red to yellow. No idea if that is posssible but it would we fire! 😇

Mikki Fullerton

Thorin close please. Everything in the wider shots aren't that clear in a tiny thumbnail anyways.

Victoria

Could we not have the opening shot from the teaser trailer that was posted (the one that looks most like Geoff) with white text maybe?

Alyssa Daniels

Definitely the wide because it captures the attention better. But I would change the lettering to white, maybe with some kind of outline. The yellow is a little off-putting.

Ashley Evers

Can we see the Thorin shot with the yellow lettering? I feel like it grabs the attention better. Or was it too hard to read?

Jacky Friedman

I like them all. But I think the best thumbnail would be the wide of all 4 of you. For the same reason as Man of Constant Sorrow. People will recognize you in that one but not in the other 2. Also because you already sent that teaser video with all 4. And when I comment on posts about this I mention that You're bringing back the 4 Dwarves from Misty Mountains Cold. Don't say any more than that. I agree about the text though. It should be white instead of yellow. Or even make it look like or be in "fire" colors. And not just Fire but the whole title.

Lexy Wolfe (aka Pam)

I lean towards Thorin Close because it's easier to see on smaller images, but the text would look better yellow like the others. Second choice is medium. Honestly, all work. Enough contrast with the title to not lose it.

Huldra Draco

I think Thorin is best, close ups of faces always seem to work best. But the yellow text from the other pictures are in my opinion better, they are way more eye catching!

Bonnie Wells

I think the 4 of you is the best one. (The one way over to the left)

Victoria

No, I was meaning Kili...the first one they shot.

Randiskye

I agree that one is most recognizably Geoff and is closeup enough to grab those who know him while also still giving a LOTR vibe.

Katherine Powell

I chose the wide shot because your thumbnail for MM is a wide shot, and I think it's also a good call back because you immediately get to see all 4 characters again. Though, they are all engaging, and I know you like close-ups, but I made my choice, as per the assignment......demand?...... :D

Novi Hallberg

I think the closeup on Thorin looks best as a small thumbnail. I like the way the "fire" reflects on half his face. If anything its the text color that feels a bit too "contrasty" im not a fan of the yellow either, (coz bläh, yellow 😅) but it sure is catching the eye. How about some orange, like the autumn leaves 🍁🍁🍁

Miranda Rakers

Made a choice but also maybe address the I S and F, the size and spacing is wonky and off and makes my eyes feel googily

Sabine W

Wow, first time I'm not with the majority on one of these, I chose the medium 2 shot 😅 I would space the "I" and the "SEE" further apart, but otherwise you're good with any of the choices 😊👍

C. R. Smith

Thorin with yellow letters would look the best. The yellow adds more substance without excessive contrast and is close to gold. The other two shots are a little unbalanced when considering the reflection of fire on Thorin's face and the lack of the same or a gradient on others.

Ilona Dever

I would always choose clean shaven Geoff, but since that's not an option, I chose Thorin, the better to see you with, my dear!

Tara Congo

I like the Thorin shot best, followed by the wide. I'm with a few others on preferring the white text over the yellow. Maybe the yellow would look better if it looked more aged instead of so bright? I am absolutely not a graphic designer, though 😅

Lori Templeman

I voted for Thorin, but agree that a closeup of Geoff as Kili would be my preference,

Laura Harris

I'm not sold on the yellow lettering, but photo-wise I'd definitely use the wide shot! Also a nice callback to the MMC thumbnail, where you have all 4 dwarves visible.

Adam Podjarny

I think the wide one is best, but the text could be a little more subtle (darker, gradient, more transparent etc) but it's your video do whatever you like!

Amanda Hovendon

Wide. Get all of those dwarves in there❤️❤️❤️

book

I like the wide font but the pic of 4. Either way, excited to see which you pick!

Julie Gallagher

First reaction, I like the wide shot best, but I also like the close up, which I think would show up better as a thumbnail.

Veronika Troll

Come on people the medium 2 shot is the best:))

Rosie Boughen

This one needs all of the Geoffs ☺️ Could you add an extra space between the I and the S? I kept reading it as “IS ee” and was confused, haha.

Barbara Binney

Thorin seems blurry in all 3 shots. With that being the case, I went with the Thorin close shot. I just think that one person, close up, makes the thumbnail easier to see. The wide shot with all 4 Geoffs was a close second. It doesn't seem to be a popular opinion, but I prefer the yellow lettering over the white.

Amanda W

At thumbnail size, I don't think the wide shot works at all. Thumb 2 pops out more than the close up of Thorin, because of the background. I'm not completely sold on the text, though the yellow does stand out more than the white.

Gretchen G

Thorin close is good, but seems a tiny bit blurry? I voted for wide, but would suggest changing the color of the title.

Diane Holland

I believe that the wide shot works best. This will show fans of “Misty Mountains” that there is another song. You definitely need to put an extra space between the I and S to separate them more. The yellow font is very bright. I would suggest making changing the tint to make a golden color. To highlight the words, add a small (1 pixel) outline to the letters.

Shirley B Karr

Wide shot, with the text in the same font and color as it is for MMC. And a scooch more space between I and See. ETA: The white went with Cold and the yellow goes with Fire ... but I find that shade of yellow jarring, especially next to the fire on the ground that looks pink next to the text. Thorin close is good but my first thought was I See ... dead people.

Gina Wever

Wide....no doubt about that hahaha😉

Suzy Bailey

I like Thumb 2 best because of the contrast of the background but you've said people like to see faces and eyes so I'm choosing the close-up of Thorin. There definitely needs to be a smidge more space between the I and S tho' and if the yellow text is used, it's a little jarring, so maybe a shade darker or a more aged look to it! 🙂💜

Dawn Ours

I choose Thorin close Because It might help keep it a surprise that it's 4 Geoff's

Mary Benno

I picked the wide, but the font size is too large and the yellow doesn’t fit.

Karin Wolf

I like Thorin close best. But you can do better with the text... flamecoloured? more ancient looking? dragon gnawed? burnt at the edges?

Karen Grace

I pick Thorin close because it's an amazing pic. I also like the 3rd choice. The wide is good, but it bugs me that Thorin is so far to the right that part of his arm is cut off.

Jay Fritz

All four of the exceptionally tall dwarves is will make people who like Misty Mountains want an encore.

Maria Dorman

I chose the close one because I didn't want people thinking that it was MMC at a fast glance and skipping over it.

Brontesaurus Rex

Good as wide shots look, I don't think they thumbnail well.

Katherine Powell

That's a good point. I was thinking the wides paired well together, but I could see it also being confusing.

Erma Payne

I love the wide shot but all 4 need to be completely in the picture. Font could be a tad smaller, and I do like the white lettering better. I like the close shot just as well so it was really hard to choose.

Debbie Casler

You asks us to choose as eye click bate. My eyes where drawn to the many characters and the scene. Making me want to know what was going on here and what it’s all about. However, the color or size/shape of the font, puts me off some way. Not a fan of the color for sure. Over all of them the wide shot is the most intriguing. Someone commented about making the font flamed colored, dragon gnawed and or burnt on the edges. That might work.

Jacky Friedman

Agree on the lettering. With the I and S being so close and same it looks like it says IS ee Fire

Jacky Friedman

I like your font suggestions. Very cool

Maryse B

for me, all the characters are important and as they can all die together in battle, we must put them all forward to present the video.

SunnyOutlook

Wide shot, but they are all good.

Lady Payne

I looked at them in a smaller scale and I think Thorin Close would better at that level.

Lady Payne

This was a year ago. Whoops
