I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday break and are still enjoying the glow of it all. As for us... well, we're already back to work because there's just so much to do and there's only so much year in one year. There's just NEVER enough year, ya know? With that in mind - What would you like to see me tackle this year? What's on your "Geoff Wishlist"? If it's anything like my Amazon wishlist it's probably full of camera gear and cookbooks.

Cheers to 2024 and drop me some comments below!

My Geoff wish list is just…more of what you’ve been giving us, please and thanks! I love your spin on old classics, your “just for me” projects, your new short format pieces, everything you’ve come up with is exactly the content I’m looking for! I’m really looking forward to more audio session walkthroughs as well! A song popped into my head the other day that I thought might be cool with a Geoff spin on it: Summer in the City by Lovin’ Spoonful. Thanks for all of 2023; looking forward to seeing what you cook up for us in 2024! 🥳

Find

Natural by imagine dragons.

Lacy McCloud

I would love if you would sing Hallelujah. It's such a beautiful song and it would be even more beautiful in your voice Happy New Year and all my love to you and your family ❤

Mikki Fullerton

Geoff Wishlist? All music, all the time, lol! Lots of that quiet instrumentation piano-heavy crooning music especially. If you want song lists, I've got those, too! Blake Shelton - Ol' Red, Sam the Sham - Little Red Riding Hood, Real McCoy - Love & Devotion, Johnny Cash - I Walk The Line, Phantom of the Opera - Music of the Night, Anastasia - In the Dark of the Night, Sinatra - Old Devil Moon, Gene McDaniels - Tower of Strength, Adele - Rolling in the Deep, too many more to type...

Dorothy Rosenberg

Please continue creating the performances which you enjoy. It’s obvious that you know best (AIWFCIY proved that). I now want Baby Driver - since you brought it up. HAVE FUN!

Renee A. Butler, LMT

Happy New Year!! First, I wanted to ask if there's a term we use to refer to ourselves as fans of yours - like VoicePlay has VoicePlayers? If there isn't one, I would like to offer a couple options, either Castellunatics, or Castelluchadors 😜 Would love to see the last of the Hobbit trilogy as the dwarves return!

Carol Franklin

Happy New Year to you all from London. I will love anything you do but if you get the urge to do a full Your Man or any more Marty Robbins I’m here for it.

Lacy McCloud

Would also love a full version of Be Prepared from The Lion King because, damn, that clip from the Villains medley is just not enough!!

Sarah Borzelli

Hey that is funny to hear from you right now as I was filling out Sarah Reach's - bingo wishlist So I have some things ready: Photograph - Cody Fry The Edge of Night (Pippin's song) - from Lord of the Rings Ring of fire - Johnny Cash (yes, yes, I know HF did a good version but hey the world always needs a Geoff version!) She's like the Wind - Patrick Swayze Wanted Dead or Alive - Bon Jovi I'll be Home for Christmas - Bing Crosby Scarborough Fair - Simon & Garfunkel A Geoff original (yes, yes I know there's never enough year in a year - but one can dream right?) and all the Geoff'n'Piano style things like 'Further on up the Road' as those are just gorgeous! Have a very pleasant, satisfying and successful 2024!

Knut Erik Vassvik

Happy new year Geoff! I would love it if you covered "toss a coin to your witcher" from the witcher. As with everything else you do, I think it would be awesome!

Jordi S

More of what you've been giving us but would love to hear Scarborough Faire

Rosa Vela

happy new year to everyone from Mexico. Personally, any song you make will be fantastic!!!!!

Ashley Evers

You mentioned King of the Road a while back, and I thought that was a brilliant idea 😁

Gillian Drysdale

how about going real old school and doing under my skin?

Audrey

Hop on the Wonka trend: Pure Imagination

Jen Shymanski

King of the road is my standard request

Sadieee

Happy New Year to you and your family! 🎇🎆 Here are some songs I'd LOVE to year from you or Voiceplay! Life on Mars? - David Bowie Take Me to Church - Hozier Hell's Comin With Me - Poor Man's Poison It's Called: Freefall - Rainbow Kitten Surprise Hold Back the River - James Bay

Sadieee

Yes, that would be incredible!

Amanda Hovendon

I would LOVE a new video with some new camera gear❤️. And I still want you to cover Desperado by the Eagles. It’s my first song that I requested when I first joined your channel❤️. And maybe a short cover of “Tiny Dancer” by Elton John? Cause I’ve been getting into his music more and he played that at the Rockin ‘N Roll Hall of fame special that aired last night. Would love more piano videos from you❤️

Ashley Evers

Johnny Horton's Battle of New Orleans might make a good short.

Tara Williamson

Happy New Year! My Geoff wishlist: Lefty Frizzell's "Long Black Veil" The Jeff Healey Band's "Angel Eyes" The Mamas and the Papas' "California Dreamin'" "Evermore" from Beauty and the Beast (2017) "If I Can't Love Her" from Beauty and the Beast on Broadway Johnny Mathis' "The Twelfth of Never" Jim Croce's "Time in a Bottle"

ObscureReferenceWoman

Ooh, a cooking video? I'm trying to think how to make it musical. "When the moon hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's amore!"

Tara Congo

Happy new year, Geoff! I'm always going to recommend Wicked Game as I adore it, although I know you've stated it's not exactly your favourite song ever. Also recommending The Chemical Workers' Song, because it's awesome.

Celia

Feed Me, Supper Time, Mean Green Mother from Outer Space sung by Audrey II😜

Rachel Blackthorne

My request is simple - a song that will break our hearts...make me cry, Mr Castellucci...

Karen & Lauren

Well The Last Goodbye is top of my list to finish the Hobbit trilogy, but I would love a bit of actual planning on your part to duet with either Kate Lott, Liz G., or Ashley Diane and do Jackson by Johny and June Cash. (I did do a bingo card on insta and tagged you.....)

Gretchen G

Happy new year! Thank you for all the beautiful music in 2023! Suggestions for 2024: 1. Whatever songs you are excited about. 2. Something by Johnny Cash, Billie Eilish, or Dermot Kennedy 3. Hell's Comin' With Me by Poor Man's Poison 4. Music of the Night

Amy Kutnerian

Happy New Year! I was thinking recently I'd love to hear your version of Billy Joel's Piano Man (another excuse to show off your lovely piano-playing skills!)

Amy Kutnerian

Adding to this thought, I think "She's Always a Woman" would also be lovely in your register

Karen & Lauren

Have you not heard Once Upon an Ever After's medley?

Michelle and Quincy

In the last web chat, we learned you’re on a list for a puppy adoption. How about reliving a Disney classic and becoming a singing waiter for Kathy and the new pup while they enjoy a plate of spaghetti.

Ilona Dever

I'm almost old enough to be your grandmother so, Scarlet Ribbons, King of the Road, Cain't Roller Skate in a Buffalo Herd

Donate Zechiel

Happy new year to you as well, Geoff! And thank you for your greatfull songs. My personal favourites are all of your “ghost songs” and Sound of silence and Ain’t No Sunshine and…. 😛

Brontesaurus Rex

There is never enough year in the year *empathizes in teacher* I'd love a short of "Where Did You Sleep Last Night?" :D

Sarah Borzelli

If it's not his favorite, he has to make it his favorite, right?

schlumpfinchen82

Happy new year 🎉 from Switzerland to all Geoff versions inside you and your lovely family. I wonder how *Sweet child of mine* would sound with your voice 😊

Patti Lucero Grace

Happy New Year to you and yours. Here a a few suggestions for 2024: • David Bowie: Space Oddity or Heroes • Joe Cocker: Leave Your Hat On • Piano Man by Billy Joel • Jim Croce: Time in a Bottle • The Beatles: And I Love Her; I’ll follow The Sun; Lady Madonna; Let It Be; The Long & Winding Road; Paperback Writer; When I’m Sixty-four, Yesterday. • Highwayman by the Highwaymen

Merryl Short

I think a Geoff version of "True Love" From the movie High Society would be lovely. Originally sung by Bing Crosby in the movie

MJ

Mayday by cam

Annette Corrado

Beth Walsh: Yes, both would be covers that Geoff could get creative with and make very special.

HGeek

Wishing you and your family a very happy new year Geoff 🎊. One of the highlights of 2023 for me was discovering Voiceplay and of course your music Geoff ( it is phenomenal!) . I know it may be, rather it is experimental, would love to hear -I just called to say by Stevie wonder or every breath you take (the police) in your wondrous voice.

Karin Wolf

With respect to Rachel Blackthorne six minutes ago: My request is simple - make me laugh Mr Castellucci! 😂😉

Agnes EvaR

Happy New Year, Geoff! I love Kissing a fool by George Michael, and I think it would be a good song for you.

Annette Corrado

Ashley Evers: Yes, Geoff could do something very creative and special with "King Of The Road".

Candace Berg

I second Time in a Bottle, Heroes, and Let it Be! Patti knows what she's talking about.

Candace Berg

Every time I think I have a unique suggestion I scroll past someone who's already suggested it hahaha. I would love to see this as well.

Karin Wolf

And still: To see you as an Elf would be gorgous... whatever song there is in any of the Ring and/or Hobbit films...

Roxanne

Dreamweaver by Gary Wright

Candace Berg

Lovely by Billie Eilish and Khalid could be really cool if you have someone you'd like to maybe do a duet with. It wouldn't be strictly necessary since you are capable of singing all the parts, but I personally feel the piece would benefit from a female voice as a duet partner for you.

Annette Corrado

I agree with the "King Of The Road" suggestion dropped here (an old favorite that we older woman remember our dads always whistling or singing when we were young). I like the idea of a Billy Joel or Elton John cover (Geoff's voice is much better) that showcases his piano playing skills. "Wicked Game" would be a great cover for Geoff's range.

Helen A

I'd love to hear you cover a classic crooner. Sinatra, Crosby, Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, etc. The big band Era had a lot of amazing songs. Or, if you want something more modern, how about Gravity or Last Train Home by John Mayer.

Janis Carney

Happy New Year! Thanks for all the hard work, the results are always amazing. Best to all for a great year.

Sarah Lauer

I would love to hear you cover Blowin in the Wind by Bob Dylan

Angelic

I would love some more upbeat Elvis, I would love to hear you sing some Billy Joel, Don't Mess Around With Jim, and Bad Bad Leroy Brown (Jim Croce)

D. Maenad Schluter

The Simon and Garfunkel version with the other song behind it would be amazing, but better for VP than as a solo I think

Leah Hanson

The Chemical Worker's Song (Process Man) by Great Big Sea Godzilla by Kesha Somethin' I'm Good At by Brett Elridge one of the songs the king sings in Hamilton (You'll Be Back / What Comes Next? / I Know Him)

Annette Corrado

Yeah that would be great- a video of him singing something while cooking.

Annette Corrado

Yeah, a cooking while singing something video would be great.

Rnixon

I would love to year you tackle some doo-wop. Billy Joel's 'For the Longest Time' or December 1963. (Arranging Frankie Valli's vocals for your range would be a trip!)

Angie Woollard

The Eagles are pretty darn sticky when it comes to covers of their songs, unfortunately 😬

JulieAnn Spartz

Happy New Year Geoff! Any song you sing will be awesome as always.

kris ivy

Happy New Year! If you decide to wrap up the Hobbit trilogy songs this year, please consider The Song of Durin. I know the Last Goodbye would be easier on you and it is pretty. To me, it doesn’t pull on the listener like the Song of Durin. Colm McGuiness’ version is stirring, but I know that you could make us cry ( Watch the last film, believe me that crying is the goal).

Dawn Wilson

Happy New Year! Way Down - Elvis! I think you could have SO much fun with this song and I'd love to hear it!

Purple Butterfly

Honestly Geoff, you have opened my musical horizons. Songs I would not have listened too and songs I would not given a second chance ( country roads) you have given me a new appreciation for all types of music. You keep doing what brings you joy and I will enjoy the education. Happy new year 🎉.

Leonie Frenkert-Ghazi

Yes, Geoff. A difficult question. You sing classics very well, they have already been mentioned many times in the comments. Personally, I would like a full version of the title "Further on up the Road". Now I recently heard that you are interested in “Rammstein”. Till Lindemann certainly has a good voice, but his texts in German are often ambiguous and can only be understood in the original version. The translations into English are inadequate. There are so many good German-speaking bands and singers. If you are interested, contacts can be made. Stay as you are, Geoff, and do what you like best. Then you are unbeatable.

Mythos Myths

😎 Jim Croce "Time In A Bottle". Hope you have a better than average New Year.

Kaleigh Henderson

Top of my wishlist is Rainbow Connection from the Muppet Movie. 🌈🌈🌈

Lynn M

Hey Geoff wishing you a happy, healthy, and fulfilling 2024. Thank you for opening the “suggestion box 🗃️ “ I know we threw a lot at you last time 🤣. I have two additional suggestions that I think will work as minis. First would be Conway Twitty - either Slow hand or Lay you down (am I possibly trying to break the internet 🤷‍♀️?). The other is You Never Even Call Me by My Name - by David Allen Coe ( particularly the last added verse since the bridge from Blue Christmas was a perfect condensed country song and this would match it)

Cloudy Skies

Something ZYDECO! I will beg until it happens.

Maryse B

My happiest wish would be a song with a verse in French... Yes I know I love to dream AND i HAVE THE big big big DREAMS! hahaha... but as they say, if nothing happens and nothing happens...

Carcidon

Into the West - Annie Lennox (Lord of the Rings vibes as its a credits song for ROTK but I love it on its own merit and would be really curious to see what you'd do to it) ❤️

Cloudy Skies

'Morning Has Broken' would be lovely.

Carcidon

You may not realise but Geoff has already done this one and it is amazing! Go search his youtube (and then come back and watch the bts. You'll laugh, I promise!)

Dawn Wilson

It seemed like I'd already heard him do that as I was typing it in, lol, just forgot. Now I can watch the bts though - that will be fun! thanks for the reminder!

Zeleste Rosaline Zafina Søndergaard

🤔 On my Geoff wishlist🤔 Baby driver - it sounded fantastic in the chat so I would love to hear a full version A Geoff original 😶 maybe for the end of the year…🍀🥰 More narrations I don’t have any specific 🫣 Whatever you end up doing I know is going to absolutely amazing, so I’m just looking forward to see what you choose to release.☺️

Cécile Roussey

What beautiful words filled with love.. Thank you Geoff and Happy New Year to you, your wife, Kathy and your son, William... In fact, seeing as you know how to do 4 octaves, it would be nice if you sang "SOS d'un terrien en détresse", but it's in French... and then, if you sing it, OMG!! it will be magnificent^^ And also seeing how you show your house, give us a little guided tour of the house where you live with Kathy and William;-) well, if you don't mind... sorry lol

Mikki Fullerton

I almost put Nat King Cole's When I Fall In Love on my list also.

Gretchen G

The Last Goodbye would be cool too.

Tara Congo

How did I forget about this one?? I love that song.

Mikki Fullerton

Oh, I also still want you and Layne to duet Devil Went Down to Georgia with you narrating and him playing fiddle. Plenty of screen time for each of you to shine.

Hwyla

I would really love to hear you sing the Doors’ “Riders On The Storm”. And I must admit I would also love to hear “Light My Fire”. Between your low notes & highs, I can almost imagine it! I will also suggest “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole. That would be magnificent in your voice!

Filiz E

'there's only so much year in one year' truest words of wisdom!! I don't have a specific song in mind but I am always up for more Geoff and piano pieces💙 and I know it's a lot of work but a Geoff original would be awesome, one can only hope🤞!! Have a wonderful year!

Tema Krempley

Happy New Year Geoff! You and I have VERY different concepts of time, but that’s a story for another day. I’d love for you to do Blue Moon. Frank Sinatra’s interpretation is the version I would love to hear you tackle. Ten Minutes Ago by Rogers and Hammerstein is another I would love to hear. Finally, I want you to do Baby Driver.

Zena Darling

My forever request is St James Infirmary Blues! It's a cool old classic that lends itself well to stylistic variation, I'd love to hear your take on it! That said, I'm looking forward to whatever you share with us this year! Happy 2024!

Karen & Lauren

It's more than what's in the villains medley. 🤫

Karen & Lauren

There is a NEW Lion King movie slated for release this year, if you didn't know........

Lisa Kettlewell

Songs from paint your wagon: I talked to the trees They called the wind,Maria I still see Elisa (worth watching just to hear Clint Eastwood sing 🤓) Wandrin’ Star Singing in the rain Make ‘em laugh (VP) Moses Supposes (VP) Good Morning (VP) Songs of the old west Happy Trails Don’t Bury Me on the Lone Prairie Yellow Rose of Texas Springtime in the Rockies Nighttime in Nevada Tumblin’ Tumbleweeds Home on the Range Cool Water Red River Valley Down by the Old Mill Stream Apple Blossom Time Etc… Patriotic Songs Military Anthems Ballad of the Green Berets Some gave all Ragged Old Flag Have you Forgotten? Carmen Gagnon

Detroit City - 1963 Bobby Bare/Mel Tillis

Melinda

Barbra Straisand: The Way We Were Vic Damone - Windmills of your mind The Rolling Stones - Wild Horses Adele - Turning Tables George Ezra - Paradise

Shirley B Karr

Little Red Riding Hood by Sam the Sham is still on my Geoff Wishlist. I had never heard of Baby Driver until you mentioned it in a chat, so I looked it up. Meh. But I felt the same way about Sound of Silence, and I love your version, so I'm confident you could make me like Baby Driver, too. But I really, really wanna hear you howl like a wolf...

Jeanette Pencz

Happy New Year Geoff, Kathy and William. And a Geoff wishlist? I love everything you do but I am totally obsessed when you play the piano 🎹 I would like to see you singing „In the Getto“ from Elvis Presley - a piano version 😉

Sue Armstrong

Happy New Year! Wishlist, hmmmm. Definitely The Last Goodbye, Maybe Big Rock Candy Mountain, if you're up for another hobo song.

Achim B.

Hello Geoff, do you know the song "Wand'rin Star" by Lee Marvin? It's from the movie "Paint Your Wagon" (1969). It could be great if you edit it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=El9eCRisbDo ... and of course a Happy New Year to you, Katy and William.

gloomy

Happy New Year to you and your family. How about going classic Hollywood: "As time goes by" for the man with the piano.

gloomy

And because I'm a little weird and my musical taste is all over the place: you would make a great Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde from the Musical. (especially "Alive") Halloween is only ten months away.

gloomy

A piano version of "Love of my Life" by Queen would be lovely as well.

Jacky Friedman

These 3 George Micheal songs are my favorites of his and would love to see you do one or all three..... "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me". This was my absolute favorite in high school. I had a denim jacket I embroidered mountains and the sun going down behind them. Then embroidered the title around the mountains. "Father Figure". "Faith". Would greatly appreciate if at least Don't Let The Sun ____. This i think would also be a great one for Voiceplay.

Jacky Friedman

Rawhide and Daydream Believer are great ones for Voiceplay too.

Amanda Hovendon

Hmm true. But I still think that Geoff would make it even more beautiful ❤️

Amanda Hovendon

I just watched the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Induction last night and I totally agree with you on those George Michael songs❤️❤️❤️

Jacky Friedman

Agree on the Hobbit trilogy suggestion. Also agree Geoff fans need a name.

Nathan E

I would love to hear your take on “Amazing Grace” your voice would suit it perfectly!

Jacky Friedman

Time In A Bottle is my favorite Jim Croce song. So beautiful. Geoff could definitely do that one.

Jacky Friedman

Love both ideas. Making a homemade pizza and singing the song. There are lots of food related songs out there Geoff could sing in his cooking videos.

Jacky Friedman

That sounds like Lady and The Tramp. My daughter used to sell Scentsy products so I collected Scentsy Buddies. A couple years ago she gave me Lady and Tramp buddies for Christmas. Their mouths have magnets in them so you can put them together to look like they did in the movie when their spaghetti met.

Carolyn Bryant

Dance Me to the End - Leonard Cohen. I'm new to the Patreon clan so forgive me if it's been mentioned before, good or bad. I'm not sure if you'd be drawn to it but believe you would do an amazing transformation. Different and even more moving. Gratitude for your creativity and generosity!

Shelby

The Dolphin cries by Live. They have a few you would do well with, particularly with a Geoff twist.

Jacky Friedman

He already did Way Down June 1½ years ago. It was hilarious. He portrayed 3 janitors and a supervisor. That's when his main 3 clones got their names...... Jeff, Jeoph and Goff. Geoff got down to a C1 just like JD Sumner did in the original. Lots of Elvis moves. And a few other surprises. 2 months after he did "Rains of Castemere" from Game of Thrones.

Dawn Ours

Hmmmm Some Don Williams. maybe even a tribute medley with VoicePlay or huh IF Only you had a bunch of Friends more familiar with Country music ? ! ? *wink* With Don there are no duds so it's big catalog so lots to chose from. Love songs for valentines day? Some Gospels, some every mans observations of life like Good Ol Boys like Me. Lord I hope this Day is Good., If Hollywood don't need you, I believe in you, Sing Me Back Home (you could even return to the Prison shoot for this one) Reimagined they can all be funny or lighter side Don would love it RIP to the gentle Giant it's been a good long while and he is still missed.

Jacky Friedman

Agree. Most anything by Adele. I love all her songs

Tara Williamson

Oh man, Simon & Garfunkel's "Scarborough Fair," with the clones singing the Canticle part? Pure heaven.

Tara Williamson

Ooo, "The Longest Time" would be so good in his voice!

Jacky Friedman

I saw a couple people mention Adele songs. One that came to mind and is my favorite of hers is "Skyfall". From James Bond's movie Skyfall with Daniel Craig. The first time I heard it I thought "this sounds like it could be a spy movie theme song" I never even heard of Adele at that time. So I went to the library and looked it up. Sure enough it was a James Bond song. And I checked out an Adele CD. She became my favorite female singer. So if you can do anything by her that would be awesome as well. Especially from her first album. Or Skyfall.

AmbularD

Billy Joel, definitely

AmbularD

Live Like You Were Dying - Tim McGraw

Gaisha Ziapour Edwards

Well, there are plenty of ideas here already, so my wish is that you and your helpers stay healthy and happy to deal with the list. 🌻💕

AmbularD

Through the Years - Kenny Rogers

ML Seremet

Recent joiner of your Patreon crew. Saw someone mention Wand’rin Star by Lee Marvin. Excellent choice! And Happy New Year to you and your lovely family.

AmbularD

Almost Home - Craig Morgan

Debs Badger

We already named ourselves Castellunatics at the beginning of his Patreon campaign in 2020.

Nana Koranteng

I was thinking to myself ‘man wouldn’t it be cool if Geoff made remixes of his arrangements’ I think it’s a cool idea

Debs Badger

Regardless of how pretty he could make it, I doubt it's worth a copyright strike to his channel.

Jennifer J C

How about Wonderful Life by Black?

Debs Badger

December 1963 isn't a Valli lead (he only sings the bridge).

Ashton Lee

I think a full cover of "I've Gotta Walk That Lonesome Road" by JD Sumner and the Stamps would be AWESOME!

Grace Files

Happy New Year Geoff!!❤️ I am so excited to see what you do in 2024, I would love for you to do more of the same stuff because I love what you have been doing recently!! But if I were to make a few song suggestions they would be Home by Phillip Phillips and Beyond the Sea by Kevin Spacey. Thanks for being your amazing self and for being amazing!❤️

Amelia

I've loved everything you've been doing. Keep it up! Also any older titles people may not have heard. Or not heard for some time. :) Some of your covers are music I've never heard before. I've heard it now because you did a cover and it's awesome. 😎

Angie Woollard

I’d never heard Baby Driver so I’m listening to it as we speak and just got to the chromatic bass walk down and I AM IN. 😍 The Elvis-y/Beach Boys vibe of this song totally fits the style of other songs you’ve done.

Angie Woollard

Also putting in a vote for Born to be Wild by Steppenwolf ETA: Aaaaand while I was looking that one up I also came across Magic Carpet Ride so I’m throwing that one into the hat too.

Debs Badger

Suspicious Minds - Elvis Presley

Mikki Fullerton

Delicious, is it not? Chromatic descents are one of my kryptonites...

Angie Woollard

Mine too. But of course you knew that already…

Eileen Parkman

Oh, there are so many! Here's a few of my favorites with YouTube links: One Last Dance - Us the Duo 2016 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axnQugFtB0g They Call the Wind Maria - Harve Presnell Paint Your Wagon 1969 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByqYEzugleE We Must Believe in Magic - Crystal Gayle -The Muppet Show 1979 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tFaw4giiWvM And you KNOW how much I'd love to have you cover Spooky, Scary Skeletons for Hallowe'en, or maybe Bad Moon Rising by CCR

Cara K

I'd absolutely LOVE to hear your version of Tracy Lawrence's "Just You and Me." Your vocal range is perfect - from his higher notes to the LOW growl.. It's made for Geoff!

Brontesaurus Rex

it's like the only thing I want lol I will never shut up about this

Hallie Heller

I would love to hear "Hallelujah " by Leonard Cohen/Jeff Buckley. Especially with your pianist skills and your wall of sound harmony!

Skatemyway

I was thinking Frank Sinatra!

Cara K

Also, Bill Withers' Lean On Me

Scott Boa

ABBA's classic TAKE A CHANCE ON ME. Either you with your clones, or VoicePlay.

Debbie Casler

An old favorite from Perry Como, “ And I Love You So “.

Debbie Casler

“ It’s Impossible “ another song by Perry Como.

Debbie Casler

Or maybe “ Till the End of Time “.

Debbie Casler

Song sung by Mr. Nat King Cole, “ Nature Boy “.

Sofia Alfenito

Debs Badger

I've Been Everywhere - Johnny Cash's cover

Angie McDougle-Curl

I just want to see more stuff that is unexpected. Things no one asked for.. Maybe things out of your comfort zone. I kinda just want to be surprised. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Jamie Marcus

1.Alice In Chains : Don’t Follow. 2. Pearl Jam : Nothingman. 🤘🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Frances Smith

Voiceplay—Scarborough Fair and Knights in White Satin by the Moody Blues You—2songs from Paint Your Wagon—They call the wind Maria and I was born under a wandering star. The Impossible Dream from Don Quixote. There are many others, but there a some absolutely great songs from musicals—stage and screen.

Hwyla

Back again to echo other suggestions. “Magic Carpet Ride”, “King of the Road” or “Morning has Broken” and add another “Stormy Weather”

Biene

I'm still in favour of Bon Jovi's "Bed of roses". I'll never get tired of suggesting it.

Silv E

Mostly I'd just like to see you do what *you* want, but I have kinda been wishing for a full version of "Further on up the road". Loved that one.

Sarah Borzelli

I would die happily if you found a duet partner to do 'Hey little songbird"

Marie-Christine Fournier

Happy new year! Nothing specific on my wish list, as I lile to discover many songs, but I wish you project and songs that you like and are excited about, because that's the most important thing! Doing what you like, and I'm sure we will enjoy it!

Denise Finning

I would to hear you reading more Edgar Allan Poe.

Lori Templeman

How about Follow You, Follow Me by Genesis?

Erma Payne

Happy New Year, Geoff! You asked so I'm going to tell you. I would love to see a compilation of your best singles on a DVD. There has been so many times when I have just wanted to sit down and watch your video's with friends, and it's not as easy to do on a computer. People need to see you and what you put into your music. You have such immense talent! It never ceases to amaze me.

I just heard Hugh Laurie's version of Unchain My Heart and I thought of how awesome a low bass cover and your unique spin would be!

Melinda

In the Big Bad John comments on Youtube a 75 year old gentleman or lady (the name didn't give it away) was asking for Old Man River, I thought I'd add it to the list here for him/her.

Elena Georgieva

Happy New Year everyone! I've already seen most of my suggestions (Ring of Fire, Wonderful Life, Where the wild roses grow, Summertime, Mayday, She's like the wind, Forever Young). I would add Love me tender by Elvis Presley. My challenge to Geoff (as someone with Italian roots) is to cover his favorite Italian song. (I'm sure there is one).

Hwyla

Sorry - I keep thinking up more songs! How about “Fast Car” by Tracy Chapman?

Ruth Ballinger

Happy New Year! Here's to a great 2024. I only have a few wish list items---Human- Rag'n Bone Man, Song of Durin, Poor Wayfarin' Stranger, and more narrations Please!

It just popped into my mind that I would like to hear a slower deeper version of Glen Campbells "Gentle on My Mind".

Gail R.

You mentioned wanting to do "Baby Driver" by Simon & Garfunkel. I always liked it and think it would be fun to hear your version.

SunnyOutlook

1. Did You Hear the Rain? by George Ezra 2. Cats in the Cradle by Harry Chapin 3. Wicked Game by Chris Isaak

Tine

YES, I cannot echo this any louder. Love both Hugh Laurie's choice in music and Unchain my heart (originally by Joe Cocker) so good.

Tine

I thought of some ideas now. That's life - Frank Sinatra Wicked Game - Chris Isaak Faith - George Micheal Poor Wayfaring Stranger (I personally really like the version by Poor Man's Poison)

Diane Holland

I’m a little late to the party, but I would love to throw my 2 cents in. Sweet child of mine — Guns n Roses The Rose — Bette Midler Here come the Sun — The Beatles Annie’s Song — John Denver Little Deuce Coop or 409 — The Beach Boys They Call the Wind Mariah— Paint Your Wagon

Christine Stromberg

I also suggested Love Me Tender, a long time ago, and now someone else has recently covered it. So here goes again. I believe it can use some beautiful harmonies.

Mollie Marie

sweet child of mine would be amazing!

Tine

What about Billie Eilish's What Was I Made For. I think a bass cover could be so stunning.

Frances Smith

I have read thru most of the suggestions and have added my votes to many. However, one that I have requested from you time and time again has also been showing up on many lists. That is “I was Born Under a Wandering Star” sung by Lee Marvin in the movie “Paint Your Wagon”. It was a musical which has much wonderful music and songs that would suit your voice and your creativity. I urge you And Kathy to watch it.

Tema Krempley

This one just came to me: Sympathy For The Devil-The Rolling Stones. I think it would be fun.

Mary Benno

Georgia on My Mind (Ray Charles), Will the Circle Be Unbroken, The Thrill is Gone (BB King), Come Rain or Come Shine, Feeling Good, Go Rest High On That Mountain

Kourtney Frantz

Gordon Lightfoot Sundown Looking Glass Brandy

Shirley B Karr

How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You) Fell down a rabbit hole listening to the Time Machine album from 4:2:Five. At the "sweeter than Twinkies in my lunchbox" line I wondered how you'd do it now as an adult low bass instead of a kid singing tenor. (The tenor/baritone was mellifluous; I just like the way bass rattles my bones.) If not for us, maybe for Kathy on your anniversary? For anyone wanting to go down the same rabbit hole: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXl2m_EInHM&list=OLAK5uy_nJwf3xllmHdzVXsB1uAkE6aYeaq_FXvKY&index=7

Well, if after 'Paul Bunyan' you might want to try some other rather obscure Thurl tracks: (From the Disneyland album for kids rather than the actual soundtrack from the 'Babes in Toyland' movie) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQ8KCwOyzGE 2:38 We Won't Be Happy 'Til We Get It (I think it might be Bill Lee, one of his fellow "Mellomen" doing the other part?) 7:28 Slowly He Sank Into the Sea 10:35 Castle in Spain

Lisa Kettlewell

Why not get j none in there to play one of the fiddle parts. It would be fun seeing them play together again.

Angie McDougle-Curl

Life on Mars or Space Oddity? I do love Mary Benno’s suggestion for The thrill is gone and Come Rain or Come Shine. Something 90’s rock.. Pearl Jam or Soundgarden? Something different 🤷🏻‍♀️

Silv E

And also, I definitely DO want to hear you sing Baby Driver :)

Olivia Clark

I would love to see what you do with Silent Lucidity from Queensryche!

Piwakawaka

I'd love to hear you do a low bass cover of 'Ruthlessness' from EPIC: the musical!

Angela Scheiber

More narrations, I never get tired of your voice! As balance something creepy like Poe and a young adult/children short story? Also musical of any kind would be awesome!

SunnyOutlook

I'd love to see Geoff do Annie's Song by John Denver.

Stacie Taylor

I meant to comment closer to when you actually posted this, but: Bruce Springsteen? (Even just something he's written like Because the Night.) And/or David Bowie?

Jahnie Khoury

I would love to hear you sing I Am the Highway by Audioslave.

Trisha Glass

I don’t know if you will look at this post because it’s older but would love to see your take on “Devil or Angel,” by Bobby Vee. Cheers!

Cara K

One last request - Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd Oh MAN! You could just make this your own bigtime!
