Holy crap was that amazing How do you consistently get better?? (You’re already amazing) Like… I’m speechless.

Debs Badger

Great job on this one, G!

Victoria

Was just going to sleep when this popped up so...of course...have to stay up and watch it!!! It'll be worth the tiredness in the morning I know it!

Rachel Dempsey

Oh no! Had to be released in my final minute of lunch break! Come on end of shift so I can watch it properly!

Huldra Draco

That was AMAZING, Geoff!!! And that outro was hilarious 🤣🤣🤣

Eileen Parkman

Great song and wonderful commercial!! LOL

Grace Files

This was absolutely amazing, I'm honestly speechless because it is just that good. I will definitely be watching this a minute times. Thank you for always making beautiful music Geoff❤️

Lacy McCloud

This was absolutely incredible! Thank you, Geoff, for all the insanely hard work and the BEAUTIFUL MUSIC. I will def be listening to this on repeat for the foreseeable future. Great job! 👏❤

Kourtney Frantz

I would love access to your mind and HOW….JUST HOW…you do the things you do!!! Thank you, Bucky!! And I’m glad there’s a long list!!! That means LOTS more to come!!! Ohhhhh this is nicely average…😂

Tara Congo

First, I'm thrilled that I guessed right about you doing this song 😁 Second, holy guacamole was that ever great!! I loved the changes you made, but love most of all that you kept the vibe/heart of the original (I've adored the original for some time, so this had a lot to live up to. You nailed it!). The visuals are awesome, too. Love the lighting, costuming, editing, performance, and of course singing. Always great to see the return of the clones. Oh, and all the awesome sound effects in the background! There's so much going on there - can't wait for the karaoke version to be able to pick things out better. Kudos to the full team involved in this one. I have one nitpicky comment, if you'll forgive a small critique (although I haven't seen anyone else comment on it, so please take with all the grains of salt): the sub on 4:10 sounds louder than the rest of the melody in that line, and jolts me out of immersion every time. It just doesn't seem to blend to me, though maybe it's just my earphones. On the off-chance it's something that actually is a little out of balance, I thought I'd mention it.

Maryse B

Really happy to see again the geoffrettes and Daryl... Another song that I do not know and that I will discover day after day. Thank you Bucky!!! and to everyone working on this video! When do you open the Daryl Coffee Geoff?

Natalie Thompson

Wonderful as usual! Love the concept of the riders before they became Ghost Riders. Love the Darryl’s Cafe clip at the end. I wear my T-shirt with pride!

Tema Krempley

It gets better with each rewatch/relisten. I think I'm falling in love...

Mikki Fullerton

That is a really cool set, and I absolutely love the Daryl's Cafe plug at the end.

María Gabriela

FANTASTIC! WONDERFUL! BEAUTIFUL! Also the Daryl's café bit was funny as hell

Wendy Allen

Loved it! Never heard it before but very catchy. I'd enjoy a coffee with the dusty bearded Daryls any day.

MJ

Geoff you've been going off lately with music

Leonie Frenkert-Ghazi

Yes! Yes! Yes! That song is totally yours, Geoff! And my one, too. Well done! Beautiful! 🤩

Denaliland

I see many broken reactors...

Laura Pilkington

How many cowboy hats are you allowed to wear before you have to prove you can ride a horse? 😅 I liked the heartbeat effect; it was a nice transition. Props to Eli for the floor lightning strikes effect. And that stinger was hilarious

Jacky Friedman

Oh. My. God. That was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. Love Daryl's Cafe. Looks like a great place to hang out. His logo would look great on mugs and tshirts 😉. It's really cool. And thank you Bucky for suggesting this to Geoff.

Katherine Powell

Just listening to you explain the inspiration behind this one is already giving me chills. Crap. My neighbors are probably hating me right now. I saw that Daryl's Cafe Merch and I may have screamed..... Just a little. 🤣 This was so cool, Geoff. I don't know the song, so it always takes longer for my ear to absorb everything, but I am definitely looking forward to really getting to know this one.

Sue Armstrong

That was pretty dang awesome, cowboys! Spooky, dusty, and above average. Countdown to the Daryl's Cafe shirts begins.....

Sarah Borzelli

Wow wow wow! I LOVE what you did with this song - it suits your voice so well and all the tracks were worth it! All the sounds and choices you made are so perfect! The set looks amazing, great job on the costumes and the lighting is stunning (Eli gets better and better) That last shot looks so COOL and I thought, woah, Geoff is so COOL - but then you ruined your image with the "ad" at the end LOL! And I love you for that - you're great! ALSO your high belting is SO powerful! I am shaken!

Emma Yadkin

Does Daryl's have stale donuts to go with the coffee?

Shoshana Broussard

YOU might stand unshaken mister, but I’m shaking alright…

Lexy Wolfe (aka Pam)

...is there going to be a shirt? Daryl's Cafe would be awesome.

Sofia Alfenito

I LOVE IT!!!! ✨ ❤️daryl’s cafe❤️ ✨

Gretchen G

Well, I know what I'm voting for for the next session walkthrough. This is fantastic! So many layers to it. Daryl and the guys sound great. Super cool video too! Love that final shot of the shadowy silhouettes. Hoping for merch! 😀

Melanie Hobbs

Wow!! Don't know the original yet, but I'm sure this is better. You just have that magic about you! Thanks! this is soon to be a favourite, I think!

Alyssa Daniels

That high belt towards the end?? YEASH!! So good! Also didn’t notice it in the hidden premiere but OMG the one Geoff stirring his coffee with his gun at the end 🤣 dead 💀

Huldra Draco

Been wearing my Daryl's Cafe tshirt with pride!! 🤠

Gretchen G

The Daryl's cafe ad is hilarious 🤣

Ellen L Brownell

It was so nice that Daryl could take time away from his cafe duties to help out with this video.

Melanie Hobbs

Oh yes -- and another vote for Daryl's Cafe merch!!

Amelia

Lol. Daryl's cafe. Shut up and take my money! 💰

Knut Erik Vassvik

Holy coooow! That was amazing! The goosebumps are insane😍

Maggie S

Wow!! Definitely a keeper

Carol Franklin

I’ve never heard that before but I was mesmerised. Hoping for a Darryl’s Cafe T shirt sounds like quite a place!

Katherine Powell

Just listened to the original. Not what I expected at all. It has this calypso feel to it which feels an odd choice to me for a Western game, but I have never played it, so what do I know. I am drawn in by your version more, Geoff. You're so good at creating the atmosphere of a song.

Dorothy Rosenberg

Worth each and every one of the 100 tracks!!! Bottom’s up at Daryl’s.

ObscureReferenceWoman

That was amazing, as usual. I might have to slip by Daryl's Cafe soon! ;-)

Loretta Durand

That was awesome! So nice to see the guys back together again, and alive.

Jay Fritz

Love the ad at the end. It's a new song for me so it will take a while to "get it," It's way above average. Thanks Geoff for another one!

Crisstina Joubert

Lovely to hear your incredible voice and see the living Riders (truly a great idea)! It really was Epic, thank you - & Daryl’s Cafe, at the enda, was brilliant!!❤️‍🔥🤠

Lois McCray

Took me a minute but I think Geoff sat this one out to direct and film just the riders. L to R are Goff, Daryl, Jeoph, and Jeff. Am I correct?

Gundula Mayer

Wowww!! Just Wow!! What a complex arrangement 😱 and surprising voice acrobatics so perfectly set in scene 🎬

Jordi S

You are getting really good at doing product ads. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Mikki Fullerton

Commercials probably pay better than music, no? 🤣

Mikki Fullerton

You got it, yes! At least, if they kept the same names as last time and didn't get re-identified. 🤣

Anja Eder

I'm so happy!!! This is the Geoff to whom I have given my heart musically.... The first bars and a tear rolled. Yes! Yes! Yes! Thank you very much, now I also forgive you that "further on up the road" remained a short.... ;)

AmbularD

Very nicely done! But Geoff, now that you've made the prequel, you know someday you're gonna have to show us the riders' redemption.

Jordi S

I think that depends on the music 😄

HGeek

This was sooooo good🤓 loved the vocals (per usual ) you have a serene voice Geoff! The set was very different this time the aesthetics were beautiful and complemented the whole arrangement😇 loved the living riders and of course Daryl's cafe's commercial was epic😂

Cécile Roussey

I arrive about an hour after waking up (yes, in the middle of the night lol) and I see this video, the song with thunder, I love it!! <3 Thank you Geoff ^^

Amanda Hovendon

Sorry I missed the premiere p, but OMG ITS THE SONG THAT REQUESTED!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!! RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2!!

Nakeyae Street

We are getting a shirt, mug and others goodies from Darryl's Coffee place right?

Cloudy Skies

Mesmerizing. I will have to find the original so I can hear the arc that this song has taken. And I will be seeing y'all at Daryl's for a lousy cup of joe.

Melissa Elliott

The premiere was entertaining. I enjoyed following along in the chat. Now I'm going to listen again and just focus on the music!

Brontesaurus Rex

Musically, this is my favorite of yours in a while. Always glad when Daryl is allowed to come out to play :D

Kourtney Frantz

He jokes about things being just ok or average…so it’s just a throwback to his Wicked game comment😉😁

Lizzy Hite

So good!! Will definitely be listening on loop (And the ending, omw 😂😂)

Dexter R

wow, loved everything about this!! and that build up towards the end was fantastic :O

Cayden

Am i just tripping or did he drop a chest E1 in there somewhere?

Cloudy Skies

I also would recommend an alternate title: UNSHAVEN. heehee.

Amanda Hovendon

Daryl-Bill Williamson. Jeoph is definitely Dutch. Jeff/Geoff( far right) I’m thinking is either Arthur Morgan or Hosea Matthews ( judging by the style hat and the fact that he takes it off which makes it seem like a tribute to Arthur because he does give his hat to Marston as a farewell. Sorry. Spoiler there.) And Goff looks like he could be John Marston. Don’t mind me. Just fan girling a bit😂👍

Mary Benno

Thank you! I’ve missed the clones! Now all we need is Daryl’s homemade brew… This arrangement really tickled my ears. Also, thank you for the commercial. It brought. BIG smile!

Rachel Dempsey

Literally watching on the tram home. Trying not to fall whilst standing glued to my phone as the tram driver does his best to buck us around. Never heard the song before but the first game has been on my tbp list for a while. Love it!! 🥰

Amanda Hovendon

Now as for the setting. Valentine or Strawberry? 🤔

Tracie Schlaak

I would love to go to Darryl’s cafe.

D. Maenad Schluter

If that's playin on the gramophone Daryl's would still be the best place in town!

B Sprak

In general, Western is NOT my genre. I absolutely love this! It's epic. It reminds me of every Clint Eastwood western I grew up with. And thank you for bringing us news from Daryl's "it could be worse" coffee shop.

SunnyOutlook

Very nice! I have never heard of the song before. I did try to play the video game, but I had trouble controlling the horse. LOL! Loved the Daryl's Cafe spot. Maybe Daryl can sell some coffee like some YouTubers do. A nice dark roast coffee sounds good.

Karin Wolf

Those subtitles... 🤣🤣🤣.

Amanda Nott

I'm not familiar with the song, but I thought it was great! And I'm not a coffee drinker, but I loved the ad at the end for Daryl's coffee! I bet it was fun to put that together. Hope we get to see a BTS for this!

Emily Houk

Did anyone else have to take a moment and breathe? That was amazing! My young adult kids ran in here going OMG I LOVE THAT SCENE :)

Emily Houk

Oh wow! Do I need to turn on the subtitles? What am I missing?!?

Anke Bühler

Wow, just great. I love that Song.

Karin Wolf

Just fun. Have a peek! 🤣

Amanda Hovendon

Now it’s like I need “Unshaken” merch…

Jacquelyn Koh

Haunting piece.... 🤣🤣🤣 Daryl' coffee! You have had worse. But just barely 🤣🤣🤣

Jeanette Pencz

That was freaking awesome 🤩. The riders are back in town and I love it 🥰. Also I didn’t know that I need a Daryl‘s coffee shop in my live - asap 😂☕️😘

R. W. Hansen

I'm not familiar with that song but it was hauntingly beautiful and Darrel's café was just hilarious. Love your particular "brand of dumb" Geoff!

Joanna

The ad really cracked me up! 😂

Doroti 🤍

Wow wow wow. As a gamer for years I've always loved this song and now you made me love it even more (like, that was not an easy task!). Only now I'll have to mute the actual game soundscape and start this every time. THANK YOU! - Doroti

Anna-Lena Reidenbach

Yes 🤩 I love all about this. The Video is so cool and fits the RDR vibe, all the background sounds and harmonies complement the song soooo well and obviously -Daryl's cafe 🤣 😍

Yasmin Goosey

Oh wow! This was incredible! The detail in the arrangement and production is crazy! And the vocals in this one 🤯

Gillian Drysdale

and I want to visit Daryl’s coffee house! 😄

Stephanie Hall

Not familiar with this song, but that just means I get to fall in love with a new song (as is often the case with G and VP). Thanks for another amazing video. (I'll definitely keep an eye out for Daryl's when I'm in the area. I'm sure I'll need a cup of mediocre coffee when at the end of the world! Actually, I wish there was a Daryl's Cafe here in NI because I could use a cup now...☕)

Masha

Beautiful! Now I'm playing the game again 😆 thank you!

MEGAN FEAR

Never would have thought from watching Ghost Riders that Daryl owned a cafe in his past life!!

Janina

I actually forgot and it killed me dead 😄🔥

Tiina Nyrhinen

Oh my 😍 Instantly fell in love with this!

Sofia Guerra

I'm gona need that in a coffee mug, Daryl. Please and thank you.

Tine

What a cool suggestion from Bucky. It is quite incredible how much prosthetic facial hair, make up and costuming can make a person look so different. What an incredibly cool song with such a great vibe. You did it incredibly well and it fits your style so well. Thr sub in the first solo line throws me off a bit, but overall I really really enjoy this piece. Your voice sounds spectacular in this. 😍 those little cries and runs fit so well. LOL at your advertisement at the end🤦🏼‍♀️😂

Jennifer J C

When can I pop in for a coffee? 😃

Dani

I'll buy a Daryl Coffee cup if it has a mustach attached and comes with a revolver spoon. The song is definitively about and beyond "You had it worse" 10 Daryls out of 10 👍

Ditte Stina Jensen

Oh my g... what a way to start a song :) Love it! Love how you make every song you do your own. Your voice is spectacular an your skill is amazing including your ability to make us laugh :) I'm honored to be a patreon!

Riley

Bloody brilliant! And I too absolutely need a Darryl's Cafe Coffee Cup in my merch-collectin' life.

Els Peeters (=jopperke)

I bet the coffee at Daryl's comes with a splash of whiskey! 😁 Totally in love with the song and the storytelling.

Jamie T.

Oh my gosh, I love it and that ending - too funny! Please tell me Darryl's Café merchandise is coming soon!!

Filiz E

Absolutely amazing😍 and the ad was hilarious🤣☕️🔫

Ashley Zehnder

If I don't get Daryl's Cafe merch I might riot.

Lenka Z.

Oh, well... this one is not my cup of coffee. Next time, I guess. :) Although it´s really nice to listen to Geoff´s voice, as usual. I love his voice. And I love his creativity, whichever road it takes. Looking forward to the next one.

Jen A AKA Dravengal

That was fantastic, and now I know where to get my coffee this morning! I loved it! One note (heh) though, I think the CC needs some tweaking. Not only were there words in there you weren't singing (unless it was subliminal messaging), but on the humming and other repeated phrases, the CC block LITERALLY covered as much as half the screen! And at the end, it covered the WHOLE screen! And they wouldn't turn off! That may be a Patreon thing though, I haven't tried CCs on Patreon before, I don't think. But anyway, amazing job as usual Geoff! Now you and Voiceplay have done enough video games songs to make up a new playlist! Perhaps it will even top "Hoist The Colors" which I listened to over 43,500 times last year, according to Spotify! Yes, really! I sleep to it. Thanks for all the great songs, Geoff, and thanks Kathy for all your contributions too, they're huge! Be well.

Lynn M

Draven’s Gal, I don’t think Geoff has written the Captions yet, so those are auto-generated. Yes, autogenerated captions suck. Of all of the things the big Ai companies are doing I wish someone would throw some money at closed captions.

Karen & Lauren

So my guess appears to be right. Since Geoff was the narrator in GRitS, this is one where HE gets a break and we only have Jeff, Jeoph, Goff, and Daryl. 😂😂😂😂 Bout time you took a break. 🤪

Lynn M

I’m looking forward to someone time stamping lows and highs for this one. I don’t recognize pitches, but I suspect this one the range is “very”.

Amanda Hovendon

That was actually for the $45 tier for that year (2022.) But hopefully he’ll add more Daryl’s Cafe merch to the store so that everyone else can get it. Maybe update the year on the shirt to 2024

Amanda W

Ok, you actually had me laughing there at the end. 😂

Cindy Barber

I was NOT ready for the Daryl's promo spot at the end. I'm dying. Everything else was also great!!

Lisa Pockat Bork

Awesome! Love the Daryl's Cafe promo at the end too

Steffi Poe

I have to find a way to deal with so much facial hair 😅 The song is great anyway; cool, relaxed sound 👏

Biene

Sounds easy on the first listening, but listening deeper it reveals another level of dedicated work and skill in every sense. Not to mention the ad, I wasn't ready for this, absolutely hilarious.

Lynn M

The vocal gymnastics in this one are really impressive to me. The shifts between subterranean, low, mid, and the highs are so good. Then the costumes, set, and lighting are fire 🔥. That stinger though 🤣☕️

Virginia Small

Wow. I still haven't mastered the art of taking off my hat without having "hat hair." 🤣 And the ad was hilarious.

Skatemyway

You guys sure love your video game music! lol Really well done as usual. Very entertaining and a beautiful song!

Petra Harwin

That ad at the end brought a smile to my face. (Loved the song too!)

Deborah Krach

Love the song and the Daryl's cafe promo

Nicholas Hadshi

This arrangement of this song is such that you need to listen to a few times to fully appreciate what Geoff has done here (as per usual). the way the subs fit in with the highs so seamlessly and effortless is truly something. also I loved the commercial

Kezmet

Ok, now I want a shirt with the Daryl's Cafe logo on it! 🤣

Donate Zechiel

I’m absolutely, completely thrilled!! That is so awesome!! It was worth waiting for!! Thank you so much 😊

Sarah Martin

I have never played Red Dead Redemption before, but I have 2 boys that absolutely love it. One is 23 and the other is 17. First of all, I loved this song, even though I have never heard it before. Secondly, I couldn't wait to get my boy's reaction to it! They both absolutely loved it, even though there were a few tears shed by my youngest. He told me that I would have to play the game to understand. Well, I get motion sickness playing those games, so I guess I will never know...lol! Fantastic job as always!!

Badger77722

Oh, man - I really hope Daryl's Cafe stays in the video - I haven't laughed so hard in a long time!

Leisha Slaughter

Oh my goodness. That was so damn good. Daryl's Cafe ... had me rolling with that slogan. I need a t-shirt with that logo

Helen A

Now we know what caused the quartet to become Ghost Riders. They drew a big crowd of cowpokes to Darryl's cafe with their sweet sweet singin', but then folks tried the coffee . . .

Mikki Fullerton

This t-shirt already exists, and is the patron t-shirt you can receive for joining the One More. $45/creation tier!

Jacky Friedman

Can't afford to be that high. When I mentioned making a t-shirt and mug with the logo I meant in theerch store where its available to everyone.

Scott Bean

As ever, the labor of love done by the village is a gift to us. Please make the t-shirt available as merchandise. Thank you

Jen A AKA Dravengal

Well, the ones on YouTube aren't as bad as the ones on here. But sometimes they get the words wrong too. The worst one I ever saw was in an Asian horror film, and a character was talking about the Devil, and the subtitles said "Sedan (rather than "Satan") is coming for you!" I tell you, I was afraid to approach my Toyota Camry for a week! (Kidding, LOL!)

Grand Nagus

Bucky was in drunken Sailor too, right, pretty sure, the drunk guy, wasn't that him? So Unshaken is the prequel to Riders? Cool idea. Kathy always does an great job, wrangling or no. Daryl's Cafe logo T-Shirt WHEN?? Also EST. 2022 ??? Where did it hide all this time?

Gretchen G

The Daryl's Cafe t-shirt was originally a perk for the $45 tier. That's where the date comes from. 🙂

Dan Black

I love the Daryl's Cafe bit at the end! Oh, and the song's pretty good, too. ;)

Grand Nagus

Thanks Grtchen, i was a little puzzled about that, the more you know, the more people you know that can tell you, like the saying goes: "You don't have to know everything, you just have to know where to look."

Rhonda Davey

I would love to see more from Daryl's Cafe.

LaRae

Love the song and the video. Really well done! Also, loved the Daryl’s cafe bit at the end. Super funny. I do hope we can get the t-shirt in merchandise.

Shirley B Karr

Another song I've never heard before but instantly love. Thanks for everything that went into filming this beast. Including the commercial for Daryl's Cafe. Guess you were pretty rummy by the time you got to writing the captions. I laughed so hard, my cat jumped off my lap and left in a huff.

Doroti 🤍

Hier noch zwei Deutsche :)

Bill Frohnapfel

I'm eagerly waiting for the Daryl's Cafe mech.

Helen D

Love this. 😊
