Also, LOVE the game of the year debates. People have started to move on from debate style GOTY and I think it's a bad idea. People politely debating their favorite games is fun.

So I listened to the last three podcasts and the pissy zone. I get having a hard cutoff date is stupid because if a game came out in 20XX, it should be on the 20XX list. So I've got to ask: Why don't you just push back the deliberations as needed? Like, in October, see if there's going to be SOME game that comes out in December. Lock in having the deliberations 3-4 weeks, from that day. Or maybe there is no notable December game, and you can still just keep it in the middle of December. Work with what ya got. It solves a problem that, according to what Kyle said, you all have been dealing with for over a decade.
