Hearing the context for the "replacing Ben" question makes me feel bad for picking "no!" If Ben wants to do more "external" content, I don't want to doom him to something outside his comfort zone forever! Happy for Ben to host as long as he's happy to host, but MinnMax has an embarrassment of co-hosts I enjoy, I'll buckle up for whatever ride you'd like 🫶

Before I keep listening, the numbers don't add to 100% in the ben question (and maybe others, I don't remember) probably because it was a multiple check answer, not select one, so maybe multiple people checked both for whatever reason

I can appreciate if you want to do other external productions Ben, but it has to be said, I have been singing your praises specifically as a host for almost a year now to anyone who will listen. I think you have an amazing talent at keeping the show rolling without feeling too pushy/getting hung up on something, and you make the whole operation run so smoothly. Respect to the guest hosts but honestly Kyle Bosman does NOT have that talent, and frequently gets stuck on something and feels that personal need to dive in to it when I know you would be frothing to move the conversation along. Or Alanah not having the drive to push people to the next topic, so things linger for too long, making the show uneven. Though shout outs to Haley who I think does the whole host thing almost if not just as good as you, probably running bonus pod has given her a lot of experience. Im just saying! Anyone can do it, but I dont think anyone would do it nearly as good as you man. Its a serious talent that you should at least give yourself props for/acknowledge that you have. Not everyone has that host personality, but you do, and its excellent to listen to. Especially in the sea of gaming podcasts filled with hemming and hawing and talking over one another, no one person wanting to take the reins, its so fucking refreshing to listen to you do your job as well as you do it.

As a single data point, I absolutely love the end of the year game debates. At the end of the day, where something ends up doesn't matter much to me, I just love hearing y'all wrap up the year. Literally one of the things I look forward to most when December comes!

The long format for two tens is one of the main reasons I love MinnMax so much. Hearing everyone's take on each game is super interesting and after listening to this year's debate, I have gone back through the videos for every year (including 2019 which was slightly different in format) to see if there are any games I missed that I should check out. Doing that I have to call out that you have gotten better every single year and this year's debate was so smooth in comparison to the past. I am one of the data points of a person who upgraded just for the pissy zone and it was well worth it!

Thinking about the male/female breakdown %, while I don’t know what the average is for other gaming focused content online, it actually makes sense that by gaining a lot of new followers MinnMax’s breakdown would trend more towards what is typical for the niche or at least for places where people are likely to hear about MinnMax in the first place.

As a podcaster myself, Riverside was such a huge jump of audio quality for me, that I am extremely excited to hear how it works for you all. It truly is a huge difference, for real. Just skip all their AI promotion crap, it's not necessary at all!
