Generally, diving is prohibited in public swimming pool. Jun might attract the lifeguard.

Probably another creative liberty. Jun is the diver (competitive, not underwater) of the cast so it’s a way to highlight her addition to the story. Obviously the main draw of Five Minute Summer is freediving, so Jun being so unimpressive in that field compared to the main cast could make her feel redundant, or even unnecessary. But just like when Eri was introduced, it could be in service of improving our girls past the point they’ve plateaued at. Eri is also relatively unimpressive compared to the core three, but she was able to add to the story by being a teacher. I imagine that’s very similar to what Savaster is trying to do with Jun.

Eri is not unimpressive I would say like remember how she did beat Chihaya in the first breath hold duel she had with the cousin

Impressive at the time. If you recall, the first time we were introduced to a diver beyond Aya or Chihaya was Saki, so compared with her introducing Eri might have seemed like a bit of a backslide in terms of ability. These days there’s diminishing returns that Eri can continue to offer our main trio. She has her point in the overall narrative, I was simply trying to illustrate that the role can grow and evolve over time. Not every girl (or boy, now) in the group can be as gifted as these three. It kind of waters down the pool of impressiveness. Like an old villain said “when everyone’s super, no one will be.” Besides, I keep asking for Eri’s dive with the cousins down to a wreck, and we have yet to see even that.

Yeah I know that not everyone can (or should) be as gifted as our main three. But we have a sort of ranking system. Where Misao is at the top, below that is Saki and Aya. And under that is Chihaya and Eri, and perhaps Yuri. At the near bottom currently I would say that Saki’s new friends/classmate are, together with her brother Tomokazu. I think that Jun would be placed last as we have not seen enough of her. Unless we count Ken as well. Also yeah I would love to see more of Eri diving with the girls. As we only have those special Christmas drawings of them all four in the wreck together

As much as I would love to see Eri accompanying the girls down to a wreck (if for no other reason than her being exasperated at just how far they can push themselves), at this point I’d even settle for Eri in a bikini. Show us some of that underwater modeling she loves to put others through. But if I had to choose between the bikini and her diving to a shipwreck as part of the story, I’d definitely pick the latter. I want to see her limits as a freediver, and a wreck should illustrate that quite nicely.
