I think that what define a real diver is not what they wear. But rather what types of dives they do. Just look at Saki who dives with a bikini. But still goes on deep dives that most scuba divers would not be able to do

Agree, I think though she has not pass OWD yet, she must have been hiding her abilities in free diving.

Saki’s bikini has always been a symbol of her skill, her confidence, and her freedom. She’s able to wear it even in the deep sea because of her training, and it serves to both connect her with her mother as well as define her dives going forward. It’s why I can’t imagine her taking the plunge in an actual competition or other important dive in anything other than that.

Whatever happened to Risa? We were introduced to her briefly during swimming class on the island and then she just kind of disappeared. We’ve kind of been circling the drain in terms of narrative progression since. The cousins haven’t been in the water together for three real life years and Saki’s only been on a singular shrine dive with her brother that isn’t even done yet. I guess I want to see what happens next in their stories, not just one off pictures. More underwater adventures, not less.

Yeah exactly which is to showcase that the skills is what makes a diver not any fancy equipment. Plus speaking about Saki connecting with her mother. I wonder if Saki will dive with a similar one piece suit as her in the future?

I understand where you come from as what I’m most looking forward is the stories where the characters are underwater. So seeing SakiTomo only briefly return I’m a bit unsure what to feel about. As don’t get me wrong I like these one off pictures. But my favorites are the storylines which involve free diving. Also we saw Risa four days ago but before that it was a while since she was introduce. I hope this does not mean that the cast is starting to get too bloated to fully keep up with

I hope not. Saki’s bikini was given to her by her mother, and has been a companion with her ever since she learned to dive. I’m not against her wearing other suits (she can make any suit look beautiful) but on especially historic or dangerous dives she should stick with what she’s good with.

Fair enough, maybe I was just blinded by how good I think that Misao was looking in her suit. That I wanted to see if Saki would look as good as her mother 😅
