Chihaya really is on the warpath with Jun here now lol XD Also Chihaya is a bit scary with those dead eyes, but I love that look on her

Titan1017

Underwater diving? Chihaya wins. Surface diving? Probably Jun wins. But you could also give Jun a handicap by sending her down in half full scuba gear, or putting Chihaya under for five minutes before Jun starts. I’d want to see how Chihaya deals with such an obvious disadvantage.

Titan1017

Also I got a notification late the other night that Tiger Lily 195 was posted? I’m guessing that was in error. I do wonder if that’s where we’re headed though. I have something to say about it.

Didrik Svahn

I saw it in my email notifications as well. And the page there gives some questions and theories

Didrik Svahn

Well the cousins and Saki all seem to be for underwater diving matches. So I guess it would be related to this, plus that look from Chihaya. Tells me she is not looking to give Jun a fair fight

savaster

(´・ω・`)? Not sure what you are talking about…

Didrik Svahn

Don’t worry I will try to not go over my theories until that page is officially posted ;)

lisenke

They will duel with underwater diving. In Japaneses version Chihaya said "潜水". The platform/springboard diving in Japaneses is "飛び込み".

lisenke

It's different from what I though, I had guessed Jun would challenge Eri to a diving. If she win Eri must leave her father.

savaster

(Breaking) Chihaya is now the supervillain of the Five Minte Summer franchise…:-)

Didrik Svahn

Honestly I would not be against this reveal XD

lisenke

Let the supervillain Chihaya reclaim her final salvation in deep seabed

Titan1017

Ooh! Then I’m even more excited for the possibilities. Chihaya was bragging about her new record to Aya, so you probably want to drag either her or Saki along (the only ones who can keep up with Chi). This is all assuming we actually get to see the diving match. Eri’s right there, so she probably tries to talk Chihaya down. And even then Jun would have to accept.

Seawolf

Uh oh. Yandere mode definitely activated

I have a feeling things are rapidly headed to a rather dark place.

While I'm not as big a fan of Yandere Chihaya as you (the friendship, adventure and coming-of-age have always been a central draw for me), I have to admit it is interesting from a character perspective and may not be much of a stretch. Chihaya has a history of self-doubt and a tinge of masochism, but this has typically only been shown in brief stretches that, at least in the moment, seemed more rooted in something bigger - she is more of an introvert and thus more prone to negative self-talk, boundary pushing is just part of part of the cast's extreme freediving, and so on. Whether "Yandere Chihaya" is some "truer" expression of her overall personality or not, one can find small antecedents in the past.
