Dear patrons!Firstly, let me offer my apologies for taking a little longer than anticipated in getting this here monthly into your feeds.

My time was limited over the last week since I had to twat some dragons that have been harassing some villages in Vermund and honestly, that felt more important than having to edit two ageing gobshites waffling on for almost three hours!Anyway, it's done now, so now I can once again get back to the task of ridding my world of giant scaly murder-reptiles and making my pawn a total badass!Enjoy (Jay)!

Tremendous timing - I am flying to the US tomorrow and some good chat will make that journey significantly less intimidating.

Hey who said this was a little podcast. It’s nearly 3 hours long that’s massive

New Cane & Rinse merch. It's what Jesus would have wanted!

Jay, you’re forgiven. Dragon’s Dogma 2 is that good. Rolled the second credits at 113hrs and then loaded directly into new game plus myself just the other day. I love it in all its weird little jankiness, and so far have only had to toss my pawn in the brine once, surprisingly, but every night I do a quick spot check at least once on all pawns in my party to make sure they aren’t getting red eye.

Good listen! Please pronounce 'premise' as premiss ;)

Leon I sympathise with you re idiot fellow football fans. I sometimes go away with Newcastle and it's worse now because of increasing cocaine "gear" usage and useful idiots for sportswashing. It's why I'm considering focusing on attending Women's game with my kids

Loved the discussion on Perfect Days, it's the movie I've seen this year and similar to Jay I found it really affecting.

Speaking of catching up with films, Oppenheimer was recently released in Japan so I finally got to see it (opinion: it was great). My viewing had about 60 people there, so there was an audience and watching it in Hiroshima was incredibly eerie. Jay mentioning Spy Family was interesting as when I arrived in Japan it was, and still is, everywhere and I had no idea what it was. I think a lot of westerners go to Japan expecting it to be full of Dragon Ball and One Piece (which it sort of is), but you're more likely to see the likes of Detective Conan, Demon Slayer and Slam Dunk. I did manage to get through Nier and it was basically a slightly more polished version of the game I remember, but still suffered from the annoying repetition that Automata dealt with excellently. I'm still of the opinion that Yoko Taro should be given a Final Fantasy game to play with because he's proven that when he has the budget to match his creativity, he makes life-changing art.

I absolutely loved Killing Zoe back in the 90s when I first saw it. I rewatched it a couple of months ago actually and to be honest, still enjoyed it, but some of the language used and slurs towards various groups of people hasn't aged well to say the least. Regarding Tarantino, I did a big rewatch of all of his films (and his adjacent films) when Hollywood came out. I still enjoyed all of them, but The Hateful Eight remains my firm favourite. I was surprised to see Jackie Brown climb so high up my rankings though. I never really liked that when it first came out, but watching it now, older, perhaps a little wiser (eh, debatable) I appreciated it a whole lot more. He's still a director that excites me and I'll always be interested in what he's making I think.

I enjoyed the chocky chat. Have either of you tried the Choceur brand (I think) exclusive to Aldi stores? I reckon the plain milk is the best on the market, and considerably cheaper than the bigger brands.

Got through my work trip to the US and back. The good chat helped pull me through. Jay has definitely got me excited for Dragons Dogma 2.
