It could have been Sonic 3D, but the tech wasn't ready. In fact, the game itself wasn't entirely ready when it was due to release, leading to Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic & Knuckles coming out on separate (full-price) cartridges. Leon, Leah and Tony - along with community contributors - dash into the eventual complete title, Sonic 3 & Knuckles.Music featured in this issue:1. Sonic 3 Title by Tomonori Sawada2. Theme of Knuckles by Brad Buxeredited by Jay Taylor

Just had to come in and say that Leon had me cracking up throughout this episode. I don't know if Tony and Leah just couldn't hear him or if they were distracted every time, but the awkward silence was filled on my end with my literally laughing aloud. The crack about spicy Tails fan fiction and the description of Angel Island in San Francisco as a real-world, 2-dimensional place were comedy gold.

Excellent podcast guys took me back I was one of those children blown away and bewildered by the power of lock on technology! Can we start a petition for sega to add a furry gateway zone if there’s a sonic mania 2?
