Nice.

Tolkientaters

Also a Tolkien lore nerd I kinda lost interest in Season 1 of ROP around episode 6, it just seemed unfocused . Also I wasn't a huge fan of how they treated Galadriel in the show, she just seemed stupid for being a millenia old elf who had been involved with a really violent elven conflict at least centuries before the show started. She had to be given an extremely basic political lesson as if she wasn't a leader for several centuries already.

I did like Elrond a lot, honestly his portrayal in this seems closer to the books than Hugo Weaving's in the movie. Also Adar was an interesting addition, expanding an aspect of Tolkien's lore that he basically couldn't make up his mind about.

I’m not sure the potential Tencent buyout is the Ubisoft change in leadership we were looking for. But if companies are going to continue to run IP into the ground, bleed talent to save money, and chase trends that are already past their prime we’ll probably see more of this.

I seem to be one of four people in the world who doesn't view The Penguin as the best show currently on, but I just can't really be bothered by anything that's happening - which is a shame, because I liked The Batman very much. I will stick around for the remaining episodes, but it's probably too late to get invested now.

The exclusive monthly is my favourite cane and rinse installment. 3 hours of waffle? I'm here for it. It's the sort of thing I like to listen to on a Sunday while cleaning the house or doing some DIY. Also, have you thought about doing a black mug with white text? If so, I'd snap one up.

I can't remember the specifics, butbon the August monthly Jay was talking about BBFC ratings and the topic of Starship Troopers came up. Starship Troopers was actually a 15 when it was released in theatres, but an 18 when it was released on video. I was disappointed as I was only 14 when it came out, so too young to go to the cinema to see it, so saved up my birthday money to buy the VHS when it came out, only to find that despite turning 15, I was still too young to buy it as the rating changed! Luckily my parents were fairly easy-going when it came to movies as long as it wasn't *too* graphic, so bought it for me later. Still a great film, even today. Love the monthlies, it's like hanging out with a couple of mates talking absolute cobblers 😆 keep up the good work! James x
