Hmmm, what to write for this month's blurb?Oh, sod this! I've just started new game plus in Clair Obscur and I've had to listen to these two old farts waffling on about what they've been doing/watching/playing for the past month for over THREE BLOODY HOURS!

Good show as always. I liked the excitement about the State of Play etc, as it was the same feeling I had. I'm tired of the constant negativity at the moment, especially every YouTube Gamer claiming to never buy anything Nintendo again (spoilers: they still will), so this was great to hear. Just to add, I use Pocket Casts (sorry), but I've never had issues. If I did, I would change app or just use Patreon.

Jay I can't believe you got that far in Clair Obscur without luminas. I relied heavily on a counterattack build using specific buffs. Really enjoyed how the gameplay changed because of it

First of all, congratulation Leon on getting the OLED TV and the Nintendo Switch 2. Although I personally perfer Sony TVs because they are more console friendly when it comes to PS5 and other current gen consoles. However, LG C4 is an excellent choice.

Wow, what a shit comment that person left as you started this monthly up. There are some negative pods you've had, but never undeserved and if it was an "infamous" game usually done with laughter in the beginning, as if to acknowledge having to play through a crap game. Also, as an actual criticism, I really feel like that person was missing the point that this is a granular look at games as that's a big part of the podcast?

Just as a quick follow-up on my Clair Obscur experience: I did end up being able to play through most of the content since I cobbled together the pieces of the Maelle “Nuke” build and one of Verso’s builds out there. After that it didn’t matter who the third was because those two could beat almost everything. When I got it, I wondered why in the hell you would want an auto-death picto. Apparently it was so that Verso’s build could sing.

On Clair Obscur, the Luminas / Picots system is almost identical to the Equipment Ability / Skill Point system from Final Fantasy 9 if you are familiar with that. I don’t remember if either of you were on that show but I am too lazy to check 😝. Fantastic show as always

I went to a switch 2 midnight launch! It was very nice, good atmosphere. Lot more kids than you'd expect for midnight on a Thursday in a dark retail park. Course I inevitably ended up getting home at 2am, and barely was able to download the update, and play a single track of Mario kart before needing to go to bed. I'm sure you guys will touch on this in the show, but given all the game industry talk recently, id love to hear what you think about the Microsoft gaming job cuts today, and the cancelling of perfect dark. Pretty gutted we're not gonna get it!

Speaking of moaning, it is actually really good to moan. It connects you with other people really well. Moaning about the weather, about how things are becoming expensive, taxation, etc. Moaning about different things develop friendship with strangers. Moaning to taxi drivers makes the journey more fun. Thats my two cents in this matter. Moaning is good.
