My youngest son and I are both extremely excited about the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy movie!

Also fingers crossed y'all will one day cover Skyrim and Oblivion (thinking the remake on this one).

I’m sure both you two will be aware of this one already, but Sam raimi’s send help was great! And right up both Leon and jays street.

I also picked Space Marine 2 up on the Christmas sale and played it with my fiancée. We loved it but I can see what you mean Leon. Also, was wondering whether Jay is any excited for Nioh 3 or if he’s reserving his time for Crimson Desert perhaps 🤓

Couldn't help but smile at the Space Marine chat. I picked this up around release time as a birthday treat for some brainless fun, clocked it quickly in single player and thought that was fun. Then I went down a Remnant 2 rabbit hole for about 400 hours. Again I played solo before building up confidence, increasing the difficulty and playing online which I normally never do. Once I'd rinsed every drop out of the DLCs and played around with different builds, I made the conscious decision to play anything else. September rolled around again and although like Leon, I thought the campaign was a bit simple I too wondered if the operations had a bit more substance. I strongly urge you to give it a few goes; it is like playing a different game. The skill requirement ramps up, there are different abilities, loadouts and passive skills so you can make builds and you will be swarmed with enemies and shot from metres away. There's no cover because you are expected to lose shield (and possibly health) which you regain by being aggressive and timing your abilities well. The whole setting is all nonsense but I'm all in. I am a frightful lefty liberal, republican, atheist but when I play this game, I have nothing but contempt for anyone who doesn't return a call of "For the Emperor!" Anyway, you may end up hating it for entirely different reasons but definitely worth a go.

I was just scrolling back on my podcast app looking for an old show (388: Galaxians and Galaga if you simply must know 😆) and I stumbled across something I'd completely forgotten about - the console specials! I remembered I really used to enjoy those and just wondered if there might ever be any more? Obviously no worries if not, I'd just forgotten about them and was pleasantly reminded - I will have to go back and listen to them all now!

Alex79

Us too! I really liked the first film (at least a lot more than most people I've heard talk about it!)

Apparently there's a lad in the UK who makes something called the "Sinden Lightgun", just thought i'd mention it since Time crisis seemed to have spawned so much conversation

Funny to hear Jay talk about blueprint since Sony decided to shut them down!

In my opinion Koreeda is not just the greatest living working Japanese director he is THE greatest living working director of any nationality. Almost everything he's done is perfection from Maborosi to Monster. Still Walking is My favourite film of all time. The reason I say almost everything is because the one film of his I don't rate is Airdoll.

Such a shocking decision. Sony’s decision to chase live service games has caused huge harm for their studios.

It’s an absolute joy to hear Jay gushing about animated shows from across the world. Animation is one of my favourite mediums and I feel like I learn about something new to watch when I listen to this podcast. I don’t know if I missed this being discussed, but any thoughts on the final season of Stranger Things? I enjoyed it, despite some questionable choices here and there, but evidently it has been divisive to say the least.
