I should have figured 358/2 Days would have made more sense if I had played Kingdom Hearts 2 first. As read out on the episode, I had only played the first one way back on the PS2. So to "play" this one for the pod, I went to the Final Mix compilation on my PS4. Unfortunately it's basically just a "cutscene and reading text on still images" experience. However after listening to the crew go through the game mechanics I have decided I am going to go back and play the DS version emulated on my android gaming handheld. At least now I will experience the game as originally released although compromised since I don't own DS hardware anymore.

I also wanted to ask, although I’m sure can’t be answered yet. Are more games from Kingdom Hearts going to be covered for the pod? I’m hoping so as I want to play along for them (after I knock out KH2 from my backlog). Or at least please add them all to the ever growing spreadsheet :)

After hearing Ryan(?) compare the commection between Roxas and Xion to the end of I Saw the TV Glow I'm really interested to know what Ryan's(?) interpretation of the movie was

I truly hope they cover more, especially 3 so I can write a post explaining why I dislike that game 😄

Wonderful podcast. Kingdom Hearts is by far one of the most important franchises in my gaming history. This game was probably one of the first stumbles the franchise took in my opinion. The moment to moment gameplay was dull, exacerbated by the repetitive game design and the badly paced story just makes for a dull time. Oddly enough, I did manage to play some of the multiplayer back in the day - it was cool to play as the other Organisation XIII members, but I don’t think there is anything else positive to say! :D

One other comment about Chris mentioning the meta story possibly getting in the way in the future games - I think this is probably one of the biggest issues that comes into play post Birth By Sleep. Characters don’t have arcs and are just there to service the wildly over complicated, convoluted narrative.

That beginning banter between Leah and Brian was hilarious! Gotta push those glasses up!😂😂

Cane and Rinse

They are all on the spreadsheet, and if the KH gang are keen to continue the series then I am happy to schedule the shows in. (L)

Leon, if need be I can start a grassroots campaign where I pester the Cane and Rinse crew on social media constantly about it. Wait, no I won't do that, please don't block me!!! I promise I won't do that. :P
