Apropos of nothing, y'know what doesn't rattle my cage? Pineapple on a Pizza. Hell, almost anything goes as far as I'm concerned - I'd even have cauliflower on mine. Same as! Oh well some fun weekend listening incoming

That’s real neat that Jay does art too! I’d really like to see some of his work if he’s willing to share in the chat!

Went to the Lucas Museum yesterday! There’s a casual cafe on the ground floor that has the more affordable fare (including the $2 grilled cheese and a $3 PB&J—both pretty decent, especially for those prices imo). There’s also a slightly more up-market restaurant on the 5th floor called The Skywalker Grill.

Out just in time for my long run this morning… first time I’ve done that in ages. Planned my route last night, my house to City Centre, right past the Whitworth 😮 Crazy coincidence on about 3 other levels but that’d be an even longer pointless story haha. Anyway thanks for getting me through my early morning, rainy plod 🙌

I didn’t take many pictures in there but feel like Leon and Jay might be into this one

2026-10-13 04:00 Jay mentioning that Ky was on Jools Holland with Robert Plant made me go look up all the bands that were on the same eps as him, had no clue that she was the drummer of the band The Go! Team until just this moment. Mind blown, loved that first album so much when I was a teen.

Edit: to turn this into a question for the next ep, I was wondering if you all had any thoughts on the relabelling of the post-punk revival scene in England in the 2000s as "Landfill Indie" ... I'm a bit torn on it. Even as an American I was completely obsessed with that scene at the time, but will admit that for every band like The Go! Team or Arctic Monkeys there were dozens of forgettable knockoffs. It was undeniably a bit of a musical slop era thanks to the NME.

Back to the Future part 2 is my fav of the trilogy. But the whole trilogy is amazing. Might be my fave trilogy of films of all time. Close competition with original Star Wars and Lord of the Rings.

Had no idea Jay had Yugoslavian heritage. I was just in Belgrade a few weeks ago for a work thing (pic). Very fascinating city to walk around in and discover. Lots of good food! Also, just bought a copy of Zeppelin II a week ago, put it on and thought to myself that the section in the middle of A Whole Lotta Love was kinda weird, but then when the song comes ”back on” it’s a really strong like turn.

Interested to hear what you made of Carrie next month, I've only watched three episodes so far but enjoying it. The only other thing I've seen by Flanagan was Midnight Mass, which I really liked. Re: Michael Jackson, his Bad album was the first album I ever bought with my own money. I remember buying the tape from Woolworths and being surprised when I got to the till that it was £7.99. Until then, the only cassettes I'd bought had been budget computer games, so in my head tapes always cost £1.99! Luckily I had enough coins and pennies to pay for it - just about! It's always interesting to me how Jackson seems to have largely got away with his crimes. You don't hear about people listening to Gary Glitter any more, but MJ is as big as ever, even my kids love his music and I don't know where they've even heard it! I do think Bad was just about the pinnacle of 80s pop, shame really that he was such a weirdo.
