Perhaps appropriately, the last 'classic' style Resident Evil game (for a long while at least) would be the official, canonical prequel - Resident Evil 0. Leon, Darren, Michiel and guest Jon Salmon climb aboard the Ecliptic Express - the last train to Biohazard central - to report on their leech-infested adventures. As usual we also share thoughts and memories from the community and forum, as well as a handful of Three Word Reviews.

Maybe once they've brought every other game in the series into HD, they can take another pass at RE:0, and give us the eight-hour train adventure we always wanted...The Snowpiercer of Resident Evil games, if you will. Great ep!

I picked up Resident Evil 0 on my GameCube. Though I was lightly burned by the previous 2 games in the series. What can I say? I’m a sucker for the hype and my god this game looked gorgeous. So I picked up the game and brought it home. Much to my dismay I really only remember the train area of this game because that’s all I ever played. I’m not sure if it felt too similar to what came before or if it was just that I really didn’t enjoy the item management in this game but I bounced off this game hard. I can’t even recall why nowadays, maybe I should go back and revisit this title, if nothing else to remember why I didn’t gel with it. I would recommend this game to people who LOVE this series otherwise I think you could skip this one. Having said that I hope they do a remake of this and Code Veronica, they both were games that didn’t quite work before but maybe Capcom could shine them up to make them the gems they were always meant to be.
