Cane and Rinse

I knew I’d miss someone out - Josh currently works a very important role in publishing at Sold Out. Sorry Mr Garrity! - Leon

James McCaul

Great episode as always. Also thanks for reading out my question. 😃

Andy Pye

Great show and congratulations on a peerless gaming podcast - a real highlight of my week. I'm a 50 year old gamer and have owned most consoles over the years. For various reasons (mainly space and money) I've sold/traded all my old consoles and now own just a 360 and WiiU plus the kids 3DS systems. This suits nicely as I'm catching up on a stack of titles I missed when my children were growing up but I'm curious to know how many consoles you both still own. Did you move them on or have you keep them to form part of a collection?

Simon Nelson

Great episode! I was trying to work out where all the Patreon comments were coming from as I couldn’t see them on the forum!

Josh Fairhurst

Perhaps a compromise for the 'show requests' would be to take a few games from your list that members of the team are interested in, then put it up to a poll so the community can chose? That would allow the community to have some input in the schedule whilst ensuring it's feasible for you guys to do?

Cane and Rinse

We have discussed this before, and are bearing it in mind, but it doesn't solve the problem of how to use community input into the schedule to incentivise an increase in patronage.

Sergey Antipenko

Could you make that a higher tier maybe? Or maybe it could be part of the $1 tier. It could just be another incentive to get people to become patrons.

Cane and Rinse

This is what we chewed over on the monthly show, but then we're back to the problems we discussed on there regarding the fact that we can only do 50 shows a year, that we wouldn't get the right mix of shows, that multiple people would likely request the same games and so on. We're still not really any closer to a solution at this point.

Alfie Bamford

I remember you guys saying you would be answering questions from the community, but I can't quite remember exactly if you said where we could ask such questions, so I'm going to post here if that's OK :) Not really a question as such, and maybe a bit of a strange request, but I've been listening to the C&R team now for around four years, most days, and I still have no idea what anybody looks like! It would be really good to put a face to the voices and personalities I've gotten acquainted with over the years, not for superficial reasons in any way but purely out of curiosity! Hope that doesn't sound weird! :)

Cane and Rinse

We'll address this on the next monthly show, but in the meantime, do you follow the team on Twitter? Even if they don't have their 'irl' pic as their avatar, most of the crew occasionally put a pic of themselves out there from time to time. We also have a Cane and Rinse Instagram where Leon and Jay make fairly regular appearances, and on our Facebook page too.

Alfie Bamford

I had no idea, nope! Follow a few of you guys on twitter but will deffo add you up on Instagram. Cheers guys

Sergey Antipenko

Oh I guess I was thinking to just make 1 out of the 50 a "Patreon Pick" or something like that. Whichever one happened to get the most votes.

Cane and Rinse

Right, understood. But that begs the question whether people would pay a Patreon subscription to have a vote that may ultimately be outvoted. And also, how would we arrive at the shortlist of games for Patreons to vote on?
