Here's a little Patreon exclusive extra to start the week with. Last week Jay, along with Jacob Geller and community member Richard Davison got together and recorded a spoiler-free hot take conversation based around their first week or so with Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption II.

What an excellent surprise. Thanks guys.

Many spoilers or...?

We've tried to avoid any spoilers, certainly with regards to the main story.

Jacob says: “Nothing larger story, as we hadn't played very long when talking. Maybe a couple of situations out in the open world, but nothing you wouldn't encounter in 8 hours or so.”

So I'm at work listening to this and my need to go home and play more RDR2 is near unbearable! This ep was a nice little surprise, love hearing other people gush about the game. I'm with Jay, I would be all about a Cowboy Simulation game where you just maintain camp and making friends (which I guess RDR2 kinda is anyway).

Thanks guys. Much appreciated. It's these little nuggets and unexpected treats that really make being a patron feel even more worthwhile (even though the usual treats are more than enough!). I guess when you have as much enthusiasm and excitement for a game such as this, talking about amongst friends is as enjoyable for you guys as it is for us to listen to. Thanks for hitting record and editing that chat!

Must also say I really enjoyed community member Richard on this special, has he been on episodes before? Great addition!

Richard has been on a couple of Sound of Plays, the most recent being 162, and he also appeared on our GTA Online Conversational audio discussion which can be found on caneandrinse.com

This was a great conversation fellas. Awesome hearing Jay talk about a game he's so passionate about. It's an amazing experience. I got up to the last chapter but had an epiphany listening to this podcast and realised I rushed through the main story after it got it's hooks in. I need to absorb more of those characters and that world and slow down a bit. Back to the snow I go
