Almost seven years on from our last Metal Gear Solid podcast, Leon, Jay, Karl and new member Richard Davison pick up the slack with 2014's Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. A prologue, a tech demo, an interactive commercial that you have to buy, or a terrific slice of Tactical Espionage Operations in its own right? At the time of course, we were unaware of the turmoil between Kojima Productions and Konami behind the scenes...Music used in this issue:1. Thank you so much. Just what I need right now.

I'm only half-way through this episode, but wanted to express how much I appreciate the discussion and criticism of Kojima's treatment of Paz (and, lets be honest, women as a whole in Metal Gear Solid series). I wonder how many women he has on his team giving input to this sort of thing? (haha, probably none) On another note, I am very leery of how Death Stranding will depict women. There seem to be a few main female characters and there looks to be a pregnancy theme, but hopefully the women are not just used to hammer home a theme and to die horribly.

Great episode, really sounds like I need to revisit this game as I think I missed out massively on what it has to offer.
