I'd like to hear if you have any opinion on dedicated "emulator" handhelds. I'm looking to pick one up to play GBA, SNES and Genesis games but there are so many and they have extremely varied reviews. Any favourite you could recommend?

The Blood Shed

Not a question but something I had been meaning to say for the last monthly episode but managed to miss the cut off. (Apparently if you press Return in this text box on mobile it posts the comment rather than starting a new line.) I just wanted to say I think you have done well with the Patreon price increase. I've paid $2 per month for a little while now because I think the amount of content that you create is worth more than just $1 per month. I think you have gone a good way about it too, it would have been so easy to just change the cost of the original tier and everyone would have to just go along with it or cancel but I think that would have alienated a lot of people. Setting up a second tier at a higher price and explaining to everyone the reasons why and what they need to do is a much more patron-friendly way of going about it. And it's great that most people seem to have made the change, it's just a shame that you still haven't managed to get through to other.

I had an idea for Sound of Play, maybe you'd already thought of it but I wanted to share it: just like every 10th episode you do specials on a game franchise, you could also do specials on certain developers that don't do franchises but do follow a certain lineage through their games (and of course have good music). Team Ico or Supergiant Games come to mind as examples. And as for questions, have you ever asked Darren Korb from Supergiant for an interview? I saw him do several ones and I know he's a good friend of Austin Wintory whom you had before on the podcast.

Is there a chance you all will ever tackle some old PC games, what with many of them being available for free or for sale on GoG (Carmen Sandiego, Myst, etc) seems lately you all have been heavy into console only releases, which I enjoy but I need me some PC gaming nostalgia

DarkFishDays

Have you been playing in Dreams? Do you have any favorite games or creators yet? Also what did you think of Art’s Dream? Thanks for the podcast!

Liam Clarke

Where would you like GTA VI to take place?

Mark Hoogland

So is that Division game any good?

Tat Sun

Inexplicably, the C&R team have been selected to participate in the eSports Olympics - what game does each member choose to play/compete in that gives them the best chance of winning the Gold medal?

Eric Mikols

I'm playing Kingdom Hearts II right now and having less fun with this game than I did with the first. Can you name any series that were big fans of but stalled out on?

Daniel J

Any plans on playing through the Suikoden series for Cane & Rinse?

Daniel J

And thx for all the quality podcasts ❤️

BlueWeaselBreath

Hey, team! I recall you mentioned wanting to drive more traffic to the website. The Cane and Rinse website is beautiful and elegant, one of the best looking designs I’ve seen in this space and definitely something to be proud of. I, too, think it deserves more traffic. I was wondering if you’d considered making the website-only content a bit easier to access when you first come to the homepage? In other words, as a dedicated subscriber and listener to every episode of the podcast, I only go to the website for the articles and other exclusive stuff, rather than the podcasts. But it takes a bit of work to reach these bits. Since the podcasts are understandably the focus of the site, and there are so many of them, the “Latest Posts” section is mostly podcast episodes, so I can scroll through them to find a website-exclusive bit of content, or I can scroll all the way down to near the bottom, past all the podcasts to find the Featured and Videos section, but I can’t jump directly there from the Menu at the top, so the site isn’t one that I can always pop into quickly and see at a glance if there’s any new web-exclusive content. I know there’s all kinds of pros and cons to any way of arranging the website, and the decision to highlight the podcasts foremost may be the right one, but I just thought I’d offer this bit of unsolicited feedback (sorry, Jay!) in case it helps drive up traffic, as I personally would definitely visit the site more if the web-only features were closer to the top for me to check in on. Keep up the excellent work on both the podcast and the website fronts!!

Hello! Last year I remember listening to an episode of the main show, and I won't name it, where it definitely sounded to me like Leon was starting to get the slightest bit annoyed over a disagreement with an issue with a game that arose in the chat. I may have been completely misinterpreting this, but it did make me wonder - have either of you ever really disagreed with someone on the show to the point you've had to bite your lip and not get in to the debate any further? Cane and Rinse generally seems such a harmonious collective and differences of opinion on the podcast are always handled in such a professional and courteous way, there must be some dirt in there to dig...? Feel free not to answer if you'd prefer, haha.

TerrestrialExtra

Do your other halves listen to Cane and Rinse?

Taylor Nodell

How do you manage to record quality audio even when some hosts are across continents? What is the recording set up like? Apologies if you've answered this elsewhere!

TerrestrialExtra

Would you consider a live game off against TCGS? Leon vs Dave, Jay vs Sean, Carl vs Mat, Des vs James. Games to be picked out of a hat, one round or high score/best time on a level. Next year’s Rezzed would be the perfect battleground!!

WILSON JEFFRIES

What is THE game or now-defunct game series that, more than any other, you wish would receive a sequel? What would you want to see in that sequel?

WILSON JEFFRIES

Similarly, (and this is going to sound familiar) what is THE game that you would wish to see a remake of? We're talking a full-blown remake in the style of Resident Evil 2--not a simple remaster.

WILSON JEFFRIES

#3) (I won't be offended if these aren't all addressed on the podcast) What game world would you most want to live in? I know, I know, the real world is amazing and perfect, but if you HAD to pick one game or series, which would it be?

NyxFontana

If you guys had the ability to bring five video characters out of a video game and into the real world to hang out with them, what characters would you choose?

Cane and Rinse

Thanks for all your questions, folks. We’re recording momentarily so no more for this month, please!
