You guys have some timing, with SotC going on PS Plus next month! I look forward to your episode after I finally play this game. The original was great!

Nice episode. I liked the way you went through each Colossus and talked about the (albeit fairly opaque) story. I noticed the show over the last few years have moved away from really going in to depth about the stories in games, and that's not a negative, but it did make for a nice episode to really dive in to each battle and the story around it.

Cheers Alex. We like to go into the narrative when we can and where it’s relevant, the only thing is it can be so very time consuming.

Completely understandable with some shows already pushing the three hour mark!

I bounced off the remaster last year partly due to control issues. When trying to get to the third collossus I would run up the ramp above the lake and jump the gap falling into the lake 5 times as Wanderer failed to grab the ledge despite the grab input. I came to the remake because it was on the C&R list this year and I'm glad I did. I made that jump on the first attempt, so I appreciated those in improvements to the game. I checked out Jacob's video thanks to this episode. Such an interesting story to this game. Also, Ryan's Nico joke 😅

I haven't actually played SotC since the original PS2 release where I played through it twice. I loved it and hadbery fond memories. A true step forwardfor games. After hearing this episode I decided to go out and buy the PS4 version, and, man, am I glad I did. In my 30s I have a renewed appreciation for the artistic direction of this game. My love for it has been rekindled. Thank you!

Hops

Free on U.S. PS+ this month.

No, I have a massive C&R backlog now but my workdays will be more interesting for the foreseeable future!
