Thank you for your extremely polite and well explained response to my question. I hadn’t thought that even the remuneration of 4 people playing an 10 hour game would be £328 even with minimum wage. Once you include team prep, editing etc itll be more and would the team even have the appetite or inclination to play the game. The question came from my appreciation of how fantastic your output is and to have some of my favourite games covered sooner. I’ll just have to wait until you start running out of games...

Re: the bakery chat - OK, real talk. I completely agree that Sainsburys is far better than Tesco, which is, in turn, probably the weakest of 'The Big 4' in-store bakeries. Morrisons, though; a couple of years ago you'd have been right, but in recent times their bakery has really gone down the pan. Anaemic looking donuts, soggy baguettes, it's just not good. Now if you've got an Asda near you, let me tell you, their bakery game has come on strong in the last few years. Their fresh baguettes are as good as 'if not better(!)' than Sainsburys. They also do great donuts and some fantastic chocolate chip thick pancakes. If you can get there, give them a try. This reply has not been sponsored by Asda, all opinions are the posters own (but also factually accurate).

re Simon's question. A suggestion is that when the team shortlists games, allow us Patreons' vote on the undecided entires. Something like we vote to pick 5 from 20. Then advertise these as 'Patreon Picks' in the standard show, "you too can have your say in Patreon Picks for $2 a month". This way we know the enough of the team have interest in playing the games, but also us Patrons feel we've been able to choose. Might also drive conversion of non payers to the Patreon, since your goal seems to be not higher paid tiers but more sign ups.

(Jay) I need to drop some stuff off at the local recycling site and there's an Asda on the way so I'll pop in on the way back and find out if their donut game is up to snuff!

Just wanted to stop by and say thanks for this monthly exclusive podcast, always a good listen. My personal opinion is that the current model and set up of the the subscription is great. I think that changing the structure of subscriptions could complicate things. I personally think that the $2 a month Pateon is an absolute bargain for the quality and amount of content you guys put out, and quite franky is worth a lot more. I tell anyone who will listen about your podcast. Please don't stop what you're doing!

Sainsbury's are definitely number one for supermarket doughnuts. The custard ones (or whatever they call them) are my favourite and an amazing bargain at 90p for a pack of five. As a word of warning, I'd say that you should avoid the smaller Sainsbury's in London as every pack I've tried have been half baked (literally). The only variety Tesco win at is the sugar ringed ones, as they have a good texture and I often have them with ice cream. Morrison's have a wide range and some unique flavours, so they'd be my number two.
