Another month, another two and a half hours of mostly inconsequential waffle in which we talk about what we've been watching, playing, thinking and eating over the past month. Along with hearing what you good folks have to say about the stuff we get up to.

Looking forward to hear it tomorrow. Wishing you a great weekend!

Right there with you on Ridley Scott, Jay. He and Scorsese just have to accept that cinema changes with time. There was a time where they were the outsiders pushing the medium. Just because it doesn’t change the way you want doesn’t mean it’s bad.

Great episode guys. I am one of the people who really enjoyed The Eternals. As someone who is familiar with the comics, this was a pretty good and quite faithful introduction movie to The Eternals. The comics are divisive as they are quite “out there.” I loved Madden, Nanjiani, and Ridloff in the movie. I appreciate both of your thoughts as usual though. Also, I agree with your thoughts on Boba Fett’s show and Ridley Scott. Keep up the great work!

Thanks for another great episode with an interesting chat. I very much like the relaxed tone of these monthly episodes that don’t have the need to convey information in a quicker pace than the usual episodes. Thanks for taking up my humble comment on the Lego episode. I got the impression that the positive attitude of my constructive criticism came across which is a relief. I can only imagine how much work is done for a show like this and I definitely did not want to offend Ryan or the team. Your comments helped me understand how much effort especially the host does and this sets things into perspective. I just thought it would be great to keep the discursive nature of the show in mind. Wishing everyone a healthy and enjoyable February.

Hello chaps, St Maude was indeed shot in Scarborough. A town I lived in for 14 years. In fact, I moved away in lockdown season 1 (2020), and it was nice to see the film when it came out. They did a really good job of capturing the vibe of the Old Town area. Very atmospheric.

Leon, I hope you and yours are well!! Question: does anybody on the C&R team ever get recognized in public as a result of the podcast? I know podcasting is, of course, not a visual medium, but I like to think I’d recognize most of y’all if I passed you in the street. Unless you were masked, in which case, maybe not.

Jay, speaking as someone who was in Preston today, Google Street View is probably the best way of visiting!

Love the chat chaps. As a new comer to cane and rinse half way through 2021 I'm very excited to play this year's game list leading up to each episodes release. There's some games on there I'd never usually go for but it's a nice excuse to push myself or of my comfort zone. On a seperate discord Vs the forum note. I am no longer flying the discord flag as using the Patreon app to comment instead of using the forum is the perfect happy medium for me. I may not use the forum but am pleased that others take such joy from it.

Hello! Your resident Resident Evil fan reporting. You DID ask me to advise what I thought of RE: Welcome To Raccoon City, and... it's mixed. I will agree with Jay, they did Leon dirty, and made him out to be an idiot, and Brian Irons a wally instead of the corrupt creep he is in the game. Other than that, not too shabby! (Throwing in a Zelda ref). The people looked like who they were meant to be, I likda liked all the shoe-horned 90's references, and yes, I did enjoy all the RE easter eggs like the Jill sandwich and the club keys. Was it a good film? Oooooh no. Was it good fun to watch on a weekend with a drink and big snacks? Hell yes.

Mortal Kombat (1995) is still the pinnacle of video game movies, though
